Jamey Giddens March 18, 2010 The Young and The Restless 20 Comments Drucilla Barber Winters Winters may have fallen off of a cliff on The Young and the Restless a few years back, but Victoria Rowell is clawing her way back to the top of the publishing game with the release of her second book, and first novel Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva! Watch the side-splitting "webisoap" below, then be sure to check out the chocolate Erica Kane’s new You Tube channel and the snazzy official website for Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva. 20 Responses alstonboy4315 March 18, 2010 I LOOOVVVEEEESSS me some Vicki Rowell!!!! Maria, you need to pull Drucilla up from the side of that cliff ASAP—–and push Cane, Ryder, Daisy, Patty and Emily OVER the damn cliff instead!!!!! Loved how she reverted to "valley talk" during certain parts of this. Maybe she was channeling her inner "Christel Khalil"?????? Log in to Reply DaytimeFan0001 March 18, 2010 OH man. This is just rediculous. Sorry, but she hasn’t been a soap opera diva in years now. The Y&R ppl must be getting a good laugh at this one. All and all I wish her nothing but the best with her book and career. lol This must be amazing for Victoria/Drucilla fans. Log in to Reply siomonstuart2003 March 18, 2010 LOL, alstonboy, I help push them off the cliff too. Log in to Reply Coffee_Junkie March 18, 2010 I wish you could get over your crush on this has-been! Log in to Reply Nat Guy March 18, 2010 I love Victoria Rowell. Best line: Daytime Diva calling for help! 411, 911……HAHAHA Log in to Reply josser March 18, 2010 DaytimeFan & Coffee_Junkie, Rowell has only been off Y&R for 3 or 4 years. During that time she wrote an NYTimes Bestseller, served as an advocate for foster children, co-starred in movie with Samuel L. Jackson, got married, raised two children, and wrote her first novel. Has-been? Get real! Rowell is camping it up in this video. It’s fun. But it’s not meant to show her real acting talents. Log in to Reply Jamey Giddens March 18, 2010 What’s so funny is Eric Braeden, Maurice Benard, Robin Strasser, Genie Francis and so many others have been accused of the same "diva" antics as Rowell, yet you never see such hateration, hmmm, what COULD be the difference? Log in to Reply Smitty March 18, 2010 Josstheguy and Jamey thanks for those comments! Right on the money! Victoria Rowell has only been off of Y&R since April 2007. She played Drucilla Barber Winters on and off for 17 years. She is far from a has been. Check her bio out if you think otherwise. I commend Victoria Rowell because she is one of the few stars that actually takes time out on her twitter page and responds to us fans. Many stars give the lame excuse of there being too many ppl messaging them. I can’t wait for her book to come out and keep doing your thing and like her alter ego says "Haters to the LEFT!" Log in to Reply Silver44 March 18, 2010 I love Victoria Rowell. I would actually consider watching Y&R again if she returned. Log in to Reply RebeccaJ March 18, 2010 I like Victoria, but "hilarious"? *scratches head* Not seeing it. Log in to Reply DaytimeFan0001 March 19, 2010 oh josstheguy I don’t take a thing you say seriously. do us both a favor, and when you see a comment by me, ignore it. I don’t give a shi* what you have to say about my comments. And giving your opinion NEVER makes someone a hater. Log in to Reply Everett March 19, 2010 I love Victoria Rowell but that was STUPID! Log in to Reply east.west March 19, 2010 I love Victoria Rowell and I get that this is for her book, but I cringed at this instead of laugh. And this doesn’t make me a “hater”. Log in to Reply josser March 19, 2010 DaytimeFan, If you didn’t care about what I said, then you wouldn’t have bothered replying. Ha! Victoria Rowell is a hero to many people because of her struggles and triumphs in life. She is the definition of a strong woman who should be admired for her contributions to charity and her artistic work. And, ditto what Jamey said! The Diva is back!!! Log in to Reply Smitty March 19, 2010 For those confused or not understanding the video here is a little history for you. Victoria Rowell played Drucilla Barber Winters on Y&R..when she left the show, the character of Dru went over a cliff to her presumed death. This is making light of this. We are to assume she is climbing up that cliff and didn’t actually "die". Log in to Reply siomonstuart2003 March 19, 2010 Yeah, Victoria is having fun with it and why not? Can’t wait for the book to come out. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 March 19, 2010 Really glad to see VR, gone from Y and R. She shot her mouth off once to often, always wanting to write her own stories and changing line and such. No great loss to the show. Log in to Reply fedupsista March 19, 2010 I REALLY LOVE AND ADMIRE HER TENACITY! Her leaving Y&R was a great loss to the show more than a great loss to her. What Y&R needs its for its old HW to come back and clean up their mess. They might still be at the top but they have certainly lost some viewership! As far as VR goes – YOU GO GIRL! DON’T NEED STUPID Y&R TO MAKE A PAYDAY! YOU ARE DOING MIGHTY FINE ON YOUR OWN! Log in to Reply RCLGuard March 19, 2010 The only "has been" is the hole that "has been" in Y&R since Drucilla left. (ok that was cheesey but whatever) HA Log in to Reply Dariclone March 20, 2010 I’m *not* a Y&R fan and I still though it was hilarious! She sure knows what she’s doing.
