Check Out The Trailer for Sexy, New Web Soap, Lenox Avenue!
By Jamey Giddens on April 02, 2010

Now see, this is why I am too through begging daytime soaps for diverse stories. Why waste my time when I can find them on the web? Lenox Avenue ,from the people who brought us Atom.com and Comedy Central's Johnny B Homeless ,is being described as "a male Sex in the City that follows three men in different stages of relationships in Harlem, NYC." Uh, SOLD! The trailer for Lenox Avenue (available after the jump) harkens back to those classic, sultry, big screen dramas of the 90's like Waiting to Exhale, Love Jones and Soul Food. First Buppies, now Lenox Avenue! I don't know about y'all, but I am gonna start paying my Internet bill before my cable each month! Okay... I actually have them in a bundle, but I needed an over-the-top ending.

It'll be interesting to compare the writing on this series to Gotham and Venice.
Diary of Single Mom is also well done.

It looks well produced. Not like that awful Gotham. I'll tune in.

Was one of those guys in A Walk to Remember? He looks familiar. haha
Anyways, that trailer definitely peaked my interest! Three great looking guys, diversity, interracial pairings (*jaw drops*.... imagine that.....), good soundtrack too.
When does it start?

BG, I am glad you come. We may not always see eye to eye, but it is apparent you and everyone else who comes here loves soaps, so it's all good.

Maybe I should not say this, but maybe I should. When casting this show did they consider any dark skin sisters? They get absolutely NO love. Colorism is alive and well.

I TOTALLY agree!!! We are taught in society that BLACK is beautiful, but many times, I feel that the real message underneath that in fine print is "BROWN is beautiful, and the darker your shade of brown is, the less beautiful you become"......Black people have been perpetuating this foolishness for centuries, and it needs to be stopped!! We need to be taught to appreciate ALL shades of African American skin, not just the mocha and caramel shades!!!
