BREAKING: Julie Pinson Wins Outstanding Supporting Actress (Updated)

Congrats to As The World Turns' Julie Pinson for taking home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress. What a way to go out before ATWT leaves the airwaves. This is Pinson's first win for Outstanding Supporting Actress, her first was last year. She has been in the role of Janet "Juicy" Ciccone since 2008.

Love her to death!! She looks magnificent. Well deserved. I wish she'd tied with Beth Chamberlin, though. Beth also deserved to win.

I watch ATWT but I had picked Bree based on the synopsis (text) of what she submitted and I felt that her's was much stronger than Julie's.

But congratulations Julie! What a way to go out!

(BTW, Julie was judging the Supporting Actor category and she said that Billy Miller's reel was magnificent)!

I am thrilled for Julie on her win. I followed her from her roll as Billie on Days to ATWT and her roll as Janet. I love that ATWT gave her a chance to show the great acting talent she really has and it has proven to be a + for them, us and her. She deserves this award for years of hard work and dedication to her craft. Way to go Julie.

Bree Williamson over Julie Pinson???? LOL!! Laughable. I saw Bree's reel, and aside from about five minutes in the end when she did give a pretty good performance, it was like a bad Saturday Night Live sketch-- with her and Erika Slezak's characters both wearing black and glasses. One thing I will give Bree Williamson, who I find to be TREMENDOUSLY OVERRATED, is she is a great crier. However, her acting skills are not even in the same ZIP CODE as Beth Chamberlin's or Julie Pinson's. I have never understood her appeal. She's given FAR too much airtime and too much exposure on OLTL, at the expense of much more capable actresses like Florencia Lozano, Robin Strasser and Melissa Archer.

I was rooting for ANYONE to win other than Bree. Sorry, just my opinion. Now Julie Pinson and Billy Warlock have bookend Emmys-- the one she won last night and the one he won in 1988 for DAYS. Kudos to her, and might I offer a wishful casting????

Julie Pinson as Lois on GH???????

Nothing against Julie Pinson, but I was rooting for Beth Chamberlin to take this award; it's a shame she was just now receiving her first nomination during the show's last year on the air after being on for the better part of the last twenty years. She's been so good for so long--particularly since she returned in '98--so I'm kinda sad she didn't take this one. Here's hoping a smart casting director will snap her up for another soap.
