One Life to Live said don't call it a comeback, they've been here for years! (Source: Soap Opera Network) The sudser went up a whopping 256,000 total viewers the week of October 4-8, 2010. The soap opera was up 157,000 total viewers year-to-date. OLTL also went up two-tenths of a point in households and one-tenth of a point among women 18-49. OLTL was thisclose to General Hospital in total viewers and was tied with its big sister in households. OLTL was only separated from GH among women 18-49 by two-tenths of a point! Uh, do I hear an Echo (Kim Zimmer)?

GH also went up over the previous week. One-hundred and twenty-five thousand more Port Charles lover tuned in than had the previous week. GH was up year-to-date by 61,000 total viewers. GH went up one-tenth of a point in households, tied with OLTL at an impressive for these times 1.9.  GH also held steady among women 18-49.

Echo

The good news became mixed for the Mouse House's other sudser. While All My Children went up 102,000 total viewers, holding steady in households and among women 18-49. In the latter, coveted demo, AMC was dead last for the week.

Heading over to CBS, The Young and the Restless went up 39,000 total viewers and was up year-to-date by 29,000. Y&R held steady in households and among women 18-49, tying its all-time low in the latter demo. Y&R has been much better these last few weeks creatively. I'm almost ready to declare a turnaround, but dammit I'm just scared to be too hopeful yet!

Y&R's kid sister The Bold and the Beautiful dropped 37,000 total viewers and was down year-to-date 138,000. B&B held steady in households and went up one-tenth of a point among women 18-49. I'm enjoying B&B right now too. Stephanie and Brooke's (Susan Flannery and Katherine Kelly Lang) cancer love story has been a welcome, moving and shockingly comedic treat. Lang should really consider putting herself up for Outstanding Supporting Actress, with Flannery as Lead. OMG, I'm so freaking positive this week! Is this me, or is it my own doppelganger?!

Okay, now for Days of Our Lives (and the positivity flies out the window in search of Dena Higley's creativity). DAYS dropped 70,000 total viewers over the previous week and was down 677,000 year-to-date. You read that right, Six-Hundred and Seventy-Seven Thousand less viewers than this time last year! My favorite soap still in production was dead last in total viewers and in households, dropping one-tenth of a point in the latter demo, tying its all-time low rating. DAYS did manage to hold steady among women 18-49.
