James Franco Talks General Hospital With Jay Leno

It’s the guest spot that keeps on giving, at least in terms of free publicity. James Franco made an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Wednesday night, where the quirky, renaissance man (his new performance art project  involves 70’s sitcom Three’s Company) discussed how he managed to get him mom on General Hospital with him. Jay Leno also praises Franco for not being one of those "snobby actors" who disses TV. Watch the interview after the jump!

I don’t care for Franco on the gh canvas and I’m normally not big on Leno either but that was a good interview segment. Very respectful of the genre.

I’m certainly not surprised that tptb offered to let him write but I can imagine that that ruffled a few feathers.

James Franco is just such a tremendously PASSIONATE man!!

FOUR GRADUATE programs, while acting, writing and directing??!!!

Gotta admire his tenacity and drive, even if you are not a fan of his GH character or his acting!!!

    Truly inspirational!!!

General Hospital is a mess. It has no direction contrary to me hearing a critic say Guza has a vision. Well if he has a vision for General Hospital, I certainly don’t see it.

Ryan-Scott – I don’t think it was a repeat only because they were talking about his current movie that is coming out soon and all the other stuff on the show seemed to be current.

ldylkng – I don’t think Franco is the Balkan but what the heck do I know. Supposedly Brenda killed the Balkan’s adult son and as far as we know Franco doesn’t have any children.

James Franco seems like an interesting guy and I’ve liked his non-GH work but I do not need to see him back on GH again. The Franco story made no sense and it seemed like all the other stories on the show got stalled or pushed back to accommodate him.
