HomeTVTalk ShowsAll ‘Talked’ Out: Marissa Jaret Winokur OUT at CBS Chatfest Jamey Giddens January 18, 2011 Talk Shows, The Talk 1 Comment Don’t expect Broadway starlet Marissa Jaret Winokur to be doing any more of her "Mom in the Street" segments on CBS Daytime’s The Talk. The actress, who recently lost her father, tells People she won’t be returning to the coffee klatch in 2011. Winokur joined the CBS daytime chat fest in September to do "Mom in the Street" segments twice a week. "But as the show evolved," she says, "there really wasn’t room for my segments." Though Winokur says, "I love my co-hosts and the crew at The Talk," she wants "to be more involved with what I’m working on," which includes developing her own cable show and plans to launch a clothing line A rep for the show told People it was a mutual decision for Winokur to exit. I can’t say I’m surprised. She was sort of the Debbie Matenopolous of the bunch. Now if they can just arrange for some vitamin B-12 shots for Sara Gilbert… Photo by PR Photos One Response Winnie January 19, 2011 I’m a crappy fan, because I haven’t watched “The Talk”, despite respecting/enjoying the work of several of the panel, but I love me some Marissa Jaret Winokur (yes, even pre-Hairspray)! So I truly hope her future plans pan out for her, because she’s someone whose spirit I identify with. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
