I love that Crystal is doing so much for the LGBT community, and I am very proud that she is an ambassador for the Hetrick-Martin Institute. She has really taken our community seriously and that deserves all the recognition in the world. She was giving us subtext at a time when the daytime soaps would never have considered a lesbian pairing, and she had no problems “going there” when the daytime soaps were finally ready to acknowledge a same sex pairing (even if IMO they acknowledged the wrong one). Our community needs role models, not perfect people by any means, but people who care about us and acknowledge our existence in a positive way.
