It would’ve made more sense for Victor to bring Cricket in to defend Sharon, but maybe Lauralee Bell’s tired of this piece of crap. Log in to Reply marknsprmo June 24, 2011 really another Newman trial? really? The next trial in GC should be a class action suit of the Newman’s (and the audience) suing the city of Genoa City for harrassment and naming the writers as codefendants. Seriously it’s getting old. Especially since the event that she is on trial for happened in another state…. Log in to Reply alstonboy4315 June 24, 2011 Another attorney? Another new character?? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Seriously, something needs to be done about this outta control casting nonsense!!! Nothing against the actress, who is probably lovely and a good actress, but…………… When will enough be enough? Log in to Reply 80srockfan June 24, 2011 Could have been Mary Beth Evans oh well Log in to Reply jockteen10 June 24, 2011 There is no need for a new character. Y&R already has a lot of characters and why another lawyer on contract??? There’s already Heather and Michael in addition to the recurring lawyers. Maybe this casting news means Eden Riegel is FIRED!!! One can hope Log in to Reply AlistairCrane June 24, 2011 I don’t think it’s a long-term contract. This woman is 40 years old, after all. Log in to Reply jockteen10 June 24, 2011 AlistairCrane – LOL Log in to Reply marknsprmo June 24, 2011 This has brought up something that I REALLY miss about Y&R. They used to have this whole set of minor characters that reoccured that have just dissapeared over the years. They were the lawyers, secretaries and housekeepers. But they added alot to the show. Quite often got put on contract at some point with their own stories. The usual lawyers were Mrs C – Mitchel Sherman generally John Silva divorce lawyer Michael Crawford general lawyer Rafe Tores (still around) Jabot photographer Skip Secretaries – Lynne, Carol housekeepers Mamie, Miguel, Esther while Esther is still around and one sees Rafe occasionally, I really miss this subcatagory of reoccurring support characters on Y&R. If Maria Bell wants to copy something, this would be a great thing to bring back from the Bill Bell days! Plus it adds to the story if one doesn’t need to introduce a new character all the time. Log in to Reply ldylkng June 24, 2011 Alston, Happy Birthday Tomorrow! Hope you have a great one! Log in to Reply RoseNylund June 24, 2011 No offense to the actress but WHY DO WE NEED THIS???? Really Y&R another new character? Why can’t they utilize the characters they already have like…LESLIE??? Sigh I can’t… Log in to Reply CHRISTOPHER June 24, 2011 I LOVE JESSICA COLLINS, she should be the next lady in Nick Newman’s Life! Log in to Reply alstonboy4315 June 24, 2011 Idylkng– Tomorrow’s not my birthday. Log in to Reply Soap_Stud June 24, 2011 I loved Jessica during her time on “Loving” and I have followed her career since she left the soap. She has done a great deal of episodic work. She is a strong actress. I wonder if this is the role Gina Tognoni (OLTL) turned down because of salary?!? Either way, welcome back to daytime, Jessica! Log in to Reply Ryan-Scott June 24, 2011 I remember her as DinahLee on Loving. Divine. Log in to Reply Soap_Stud June 24, 2011 DinahLee Mayberry and she had a rship with Trucker and Hannah (Rebecca Gayheart) was her sister! Log in to Reply Dyllan June 25, 2011 She’s not needed, plus, Y&R has a crap load of attorneys. A show does not need this many attorneys. Why couldn’t Leslie just defend Sharon. I actually like her. Log in to Reply soapfan502 June 25, 2011 Y&R needs to bring back Nikki Log in to Reply bishbay June 25, 2011 Leslie was Sharon’s attorney previously. Why bring in someone new? Log in to Reply Ryan-Scott June 25, 2011 Hell yeah soap stud! It’s all coming back to me… Log in to Reply AlistairCrane June 25, 2011 It’s clear they are bringing her in because Y&R is in short supply of blonde females. They are trying to beef up the “blonde ladies” department. Log in to Reply Cyberologist June 25, 2011 RE: Y/R I would like to see Leslie in a storyline about “her character” other than lawyering…its just a revolving door of new characters. Can’t they just stop for a minute so I can catch my breath. Where’s Nina? Why isn’t Jill in the Lucy story with her son…was she in court…have they had scenes? Log in to Reply Renegade_Killerbee June 26, 2011 Wow she looks like “General Hospital’s” Julie Berman (Lulu) before the 28-year-old messed up her face with botox. Only Jessica looks HOTTT!!! Log in to Reply RebeccaJ June 26, 2011 Ironic…lawyers are the most in-demand people in GC and yet no one spends time in jail. They either do a really good job or they have a sh*tty DA. I vote for the latter. Log in to Reply pennywise555 June 27, 2011 Another pretty blond, just like the one who stripped and offered herself up on a platter for Billy, and maybe a couple of the male heterosexual writers? I’m trying to figure out who this show is being written for because it’s sure not the viewing audience. I’m seeing lots of breasts and young women stripped to nothing and offering themselves to every male in town. But nothing written for the audience of women. What happened to the shirtless men? What happened to the male characters wooing the women? I feel sorry for this actress, they will probably use her like Diane, strip her down and a have her character humiliated for the amusement of the men in charge of this show. I can’t think of any other reason that this type of stuff is being done. There is not one thing hot and sexy about this show for woman to get excited about, unless you like being thrown out of a ambulance and a face full of bruises. They never learn, do they? Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 June 27, 2011 [quote=AlistairCrane]It’s clear they are bringing her in because Y&R is in short supply of blonde females. Log in to Reply soapbaby August 4, 2011 I really liked her as Dinah Lee on ‘Loving’ but I just don’t see the point of adding a new, sexified, lawyer when Leslie Michaelson has been on the canvas?! I can’t help but think that it is because she is Black that she was given the story. Geez. What is wrong with these writers? ‘Avery Bailey Clark’, seriously??? F. Lee Bailey and Marcia Clark were lawyers during the O.J. Simpson trial. Ugh. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
