HomeTVAll My ChildrenNatalie Hall Books Lead in Hyped Up Hallmark Holiday Miniseries; Greg Vaughan, Dylan Bruce Also Star Jamey Giddens August 10, 2011 4 Comments The ABC Daytime soapers said they ain't letting the Mouse House's decision to rinse themselves of their suds slow their roles. All My Children lovely Natalie Hall has booked the lead in Love's Christmas Journey, a Hallmark Channel miniseries based on the series of Love Comes Softly books by Janette Oke. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress who plays society princess-turned-Vlogger Colby Chandler on AMC, will portray Ellie King, a young, pioneer widow mourning her husband and daughter. Okay, so it's not a comedy. Fellow sudsies Greg Vaughan (ex-Diego, The Young and the Restless; ex-Lucky, General Hospital) and Dylan Bruce (ex-Chris, As The World Turns, Brian, The Bay) also appear. This is the second big get for Hall of late. No, I'm not talking about her boyfriend, General Hospital beefcake Brandon Barash! The actress will also be playing Hanna's (Ashley Benson) wicked stepsister Kate next season on Pretty Little Liars. Get it then, Ms. Hall! 4 Responses ladyofthelake August 10, 2011 Hallmark always hires soap stars for their movies. I’ve read all the Love Comes Softly books. Hallmark has used the same characters but has made up the rest, only the first two films were anything like the books. Happy for Greg V. Man, this has to be the 11 or 12 movie in the series, first mini though. Might get all these guys to do more of them. They got sequals & prequels galore. I think that crazy Lisa from GH is in one of the prequels. Katherine H. was doing this series before Greys. Jesus, I know way to much about this. Log in to Reply alstonboy4315 August 10, 2011 Not a big fan of Natalie Hall, but it’s nice to see soap stars get work outside of daytime. Still, it would be far more gratifying for me to see more deserving/talented soap actors get these breaks. I feel that she should have had the Emmy nod for AMC last year instead of the old Marissa (can’t think of her boring name). Natalie just plays Colby so naturally. Good luck to her with all these projects. This doesn’t mean that she can’t still play Colby since AMC will be dark for at least 3 months if they plan on having it ready for online by January.
