She’s been such a success story for women and African American women. BUt I just don’t feel this. I adore Rosie and loved her talk show but I just can’t see making magic twice. I think what Oprah needs to do is simply restart her old show back up on OWN. Thats really the only thing I think will draw a substantial amount of people to her network without bastardizing her vision much like what happened to the awful Oxygen network now. I love the idea and vision for her network, about female empowerment, independence, stength, stories of personal transformation. I have enjoyed some of what OWN has done. Becoming Chaz about Chaz Bono I thought was honest and throught provoking look at Transgenderism that much of our current media is afraid to touch. You’d never see that kind of show on network television and even on a lot of the cable networks. Log in to Reply Coffee_Junkie October 6, 2011 I wasn’t aware OWN needed *saving*. In any event I’m hoping for epic failure because it would be refreshing to see Oprah FAIL at something. Log in to Reply curacaoman October 6, 2011 OWN will crash and burn just like ABC. Take that Fronsrah! Log in to Reply maven October 7, 2011 I don’t mean to sound like I’m trying to tell Oprah how to spend her money, but she needs to get some scripted tv on this network pronto. She has to own the rights to some incredible women’s stories. I know scripted tv is way more expensive to produce than talk shows and reality tv, but a tv movie here or a miniseries there couldn’t put that big of a dent in her wallet.
