Boy that Jill Farren Phelps really must have made some impression on movie star James Franco during his wacky appearances on General Hospital! The A-list star has agreed to do a multi-episode arc on Nick-at-Nite's upcoming, daily primetime soap Hollywood Heights, of which Farren Phelps is producing. According to Variety, Nickelodeon's president Cyma Zarghami made the announcement today at the cabler's upfront presentation.
While I've made no secret that I believe Franco's stints on GH were a major bust, it's definitely a smart move to have one of Hollywood's most notorious stars of the moment help launch a new series set in Tinsletown. Let's just hope Franco's Hollywood Heights character isn't a fan of toy monkeys! In other Hollywood Heights casting news, Melissa Ordway (17 Again), Cody Longo Anthony (ex-Nikolas Alamain, Days of Our Lives)and Justin Wilczynski will join 7th Heaven's Carlos Ponce and One Life to Live's Brittany Underwood as regulars.
