B&B BYTES: How will Amber (Adrienne Frantz) react to the pharmacy website message: “Warning!!! Highly Addictive Drugs Dispensed Without Doctors Orders!” She feels guilty, because once again she’s made a mess of things. How will she wiggle her way out of this one? She did so by admitting the truth to Hope (Kim Matula). I certainly didn’t expect that to happen. Maybe Amber is maturing? No she isn’t, she offered to get Hope more pills.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is really becoming the next Stephanie (Susan Flannery). The way she’s pushing Rick (Jacob Young) and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) together would make her mother-in-law proud.
DAYS BYTES: What sent Kate (Lauren Koslow) into a rage on Monday’s Days of our Lives? It was papers revealing Stefano has made Sami (Alison Sweeney) the new head of Countess W. The first half of Monday’s DAYS may have been boring, but Kate vs. Sami never is.
Sami: “I don’t own it; I just get to run it.”
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo): “Says who?”
Sami to Kate: “I don’t want her to go. I want hear what happened. Why you got kicked out of his kingdom. Come on I’ll make popcorn.”
Kate: “Do you really think I’d tell you anything that happened?”
Sami: “Then it’s really good or bad, or both.”
I’m happy for Sami, but she shouldn’t be popping champagne corks. Luck like this never lasts long in Salem.
Marlena (Deidre Hall) on Stefano: “I don’t think prison is going to do it. I don’t think we’ll be free until he’s dead and gone.”
If that isn’t ominous I don’t know what is.
Bo (Peter Reckell) finally woke up!
GH BYTES: A verdict in Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) trial has been reached! The Port Charles mob boss has been found innocent! The verdict doesn’t surprise me. He’s gone free when he’s been guilty, why would he be convicted when he’s probably innocent? Imagine if the jury had convicted him and we got to see him locked up for a good six months. I would have tuned in for that.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to Johnny (Brandon Barash): “Why don’t you get back to doing Sonny’s ex and stop the moralizing.”
The DNA test results are in for Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) pregnancy. The father is Franco (James Franco) and not Jason (Steve Burton).
Sam: “I need to say it out loud to make myself believe it. Franco raped me. The baby I’m carrying is Franco’s, not Jason’s.”
Kudos to Monaco for her fantastic performance on Tuesday. Sam has a long way to go to deal with what happened to her, but that was a step in the right direction.
Is Jason becoming as unlucky as Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson)?
Y&R BYTES: The art council gala needs new blood and must throw a fundraiser? It doesn’t require Days of Our Lives’ Celeste to go running through Genoa City shouting “Danger Darlin’, Danger! A MOCA-inspired storyline is coming!” If that's where this is headed, at least Maria Arena Bell has some experience with the topic.
My MOCA concerns aside, I couldn’t ask for two more talented young actresses—Elizabeth Hendrickson and Marcy Rylan—to be pit against each other. Both know how to salvage awful storylines.
Is it just me or was Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) channeling her inner Cruella de Vil in Tuesday’s outfit? She looked fantastic.
Victor (Eric Braeden): “I don’t give a damn what Nikki or Jack think.”
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are pure gold.
