General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Tracy’s shocked to find dead Anthony. When she stumbles back she finds the gun, as Luke arrives. He wonders what she’s done. The two accuse each other of the killing

Sonny finds Todd waiting for him at the restaurant. Todd wants a deal with Starr and Kate. Sonny pulls out his gun accusing Todd of having a death wish by challenging him. Sonny says he’ll take Todd out for a ride to the marsh and use his gun then throw him in the harbor.  Then he’ll toss Starr in prison and no one will know about Kate.

Todd says he’s holding back evidence. He shows Sonny a newspaper, headlining Kate as a killer. He says if anything happens to him, that version will air and Kate will go down. Todd promises not to get revenge on Kate because he knows and understands DID. While he hates Connie, Kate is blameless.

Delores and a uniformed cop show up at the Q mansion. She tells Monica they received an anonymous tip of gunshots being fired. Monica assures them that she hasn’t heard anything, but gives them the okay to look around. Luke and Tracy hear Delores coming and they drag Anthony away, but Delores still finds blood on the floor of the boathouse.

Carly tells Johnny that she knows what he did. He flashes back to killing Anthony. Carly knows he spoke to Sonny about Kate and wants to know why. Johnny says he owes Kate, since she was innocent. He knew she was sick and that Connie was dangerous. Johnny says he figured he would lose Carly eventually anyway and lost sight of what was important. Johnny says he’s broken and breaks everything he touches. Carly wonders what else he has to feel guilty about.

Johnny says he’s hurt people and he can’t undo it. Carly explains cheating on Jax with Sonny. She understands he didn’t want to hurt her. Johnny says he cares about her and didn’t mean to wreck things. He asks if Carly forgives him. Carly says not yet. Johnny says he can be patient. After Carly leaves, Ghost Anthony shows up, mocking Johnny. He says Carly will hate him when she finds out he killed a child.

Heather runs into Sam at Kelly’s and gets all gooey about being family with the baby. Sam doesn’t want Heather saying anything about Franco. Sam says Jason knows the truth, but she doesn’t want the whole world to know. She warns Heather that she’ll tell everyone about Heather selling Franco. Heather tells Sam that she reaps what she sows. She says Sam broke the promise to give the letter to Steve and that will teach her not to break promises to heather. Sam says she’d kick Heather’s ass if she wasn’t pregnant and calls her crazy.

Sam says to stop acting crazy. Heather says she wouldn’t hurt a pregnant lady, but that Sam won’t be pregnant forever. Sam warns Heather that she’ll just add this to the list of things to tell Steve.

Olivia visits Kate at Shadybrook, who’s glad to see her, but wonders if she’s alone. Olivia asks if its Sonny that Kate is hoping to see. Olivia says Ewen will be ok. Kate explains her breakdown and that she didn’t betray Sonny with Johnny. However, Connie did something worse, but can't say it out loud. Olivia apologizes for her treatment of Kate and that she’s read about DID and Kate can get better.

Jason stops by to talk to Monica and says whatever he has to tell he must stay between them. He says he isn’t Sam’s baby’s father. He explains what happened in Hawaii and Franco’s connection to the family, thanks to Heather. Monica understands that it’s a lot to deal with. Jason’s worried he’ll see Franco when he looks at the baby.

Monica reminds him she wasn’t happy when he came along, but loved him as soon as held him. She says he was innocent and that he’ll find it in himself to do t he same. He owes it to Sam to find out.

Luke and Tracy get as far as the house with the body. Luke wonders where they should stash it. Tracy overhears Jason talking to Monica about Franco. They hear Delores coming back to the house, so they set up Anthony to look like he’s napping in the lawn chair. Delores says there was a report of gunshots, which both Tracy and Luke deny. Delores asks Anthony if he’s got a gun, but the other two claim that he’s napping and not to wake him.

Jason finds Sam at Kelly’s. He tells her about Monica. Sam says Monica can have a relationship if she wants. Sam asks Jason if he wants to join her for the next Lamaze class.

Heather shows up at the Q mansion. Monica warns her about the restraining order. Delores gets a call that forensics are in from the boathouse and heads off. Heather stumbles out to the patio to find Tracy and Anthony.

Funny line of the day:
LUke (as Delores is approaching): Did someone put a homing device on this guy.

Heather is crazy. Watch out Sam.

Liked the Olivia/Kate scene.

Not sure what to think of Todd/Sonny. Two murderous windbags duking it out. Meh.

I loved everything at the Quartermaine mansion. Even a dead Anthony can be funny as hell. Laughing out loud While I liked Jason talking to Monica and referring to Edward as his grandfather would it have been so hard to show that Monica is a little bit concerned for Sam too? When Monica found out about the rape it had to be about how awful Jason must feel. -.- What is it with the writers ignoring the fact that Sam was the one who was raped not Jason???

Heather really is crazy which I think I like her so much. LOL But yeah, Sam better watch out. You don't call Heather Webber crazy. Just ask that dead doctor friend of her son's.

That must have been the first Olivia scene I've liked in a very long time.

I know that this little chat between Sonny and Todd wanted to deliver entertainment but I just saw two murderers who I couldn't care less about. Besides Sonny waving his gun ... shouldn't he go down for attempted murder now too?

Carly/Johnny let my heart break a little. So much potential and it's all been wasted thanks to the big damage the writers have done to Johnny. A potential Carly/Todd pairing couldn't seem more forced with this.

LOVED LOVED the scenes with Johnny & Carly. but unfortunately it won't end the way it's supposed to with them Sad

not smart of Sam to go up against a formidable woman like Heather Webber. Sure she's gone up against Elizabeth and Carly, but Heather is another story.

I hate to be the dissenting voice, but I thought Weekend At Anfernie's was absurd. It's one of those situations where I was laughing AT a soap, not with it. I love humor on soaps, but not when it is such an obvious mockery. It reminds me of OLTL, when soap legend Kim Zimmer had to be "captured" by the webs from a child's Spider-Man costume. Those scenes were funny, but at the same time, I felt humiliation on behalf of the actors who had to play out those ridiculous scenes.

I loved the scenes between Jason and Monica. There's so much untapped potential there to be explored. If I were in charge of this show, I would find any reason possible to plop Jason in the middle of the Quarterbraine family. I'd even work it into the budget to send him on an acting lesson or two so that he could manage an expression once in a while.

I guess I bought into the scuttlebutt that the new writers were being brought to GH to get rid of the mob, and now that it seems those were just wishful rumors, I grow ever more tired of the scenes between Sonny and Todd. We're supposed to be excited about the clash of two villains from two soaps, but there's no sense of jeopardy in their battles. They may have anchored each of their soaps at one time, but together, they are only anchors in the sense that their scenes sink to the bottom of the ocean.

I'm interested in seeing how Johnny wiggles out of his growing number of crimes, so I hope he sticks around for a long time to frame and torment the various denizens of PC. It seems the Port Keystone Kops are too inept to figure out what he's done, and with McBain preoccupied with Sonny, Johnny could be around to terrorize people until GH's inevitable cancellation.

I find it funny how this show is writing how people, SONNY, CARLY, ANTHONY, JOHNNY and even TODD, react to the fact that an innocent child was murdered and that that CRIME is WORSE than say killing anyone over the age of 18. The pure fact that anyone says that Carly won't forgive Johnny over killing a child but possibly will overlook the killing of an adult and live happily ever after JUST GOES TO PROVE HOW FAR DOWN THE WRONG PATH this show has gone over the years.

Plus, in arguing his case that Sonny should let Starr walk and for that matter Kate, Sonny pulls out a gun, holds it up to Todd and threatens to kill him. WHAT THE EFFIN' HELL is that?!! Isn't that why Starr is in jail and on trial for the EXACT SAME THING?! This is why shows like GH are absolutely ridiculous in telling stories. Starr does it, she goes to jail. Sonny does it and it's in the line of duty and his job.

ENOUGH with the small dicked men pulling out BIG GUNS TO PROVE THEIR MANHOODS!!! Tell stories NOT crap!!!

I wish there was a week that went by on this show where a gun was pulled out as frequently as it is on this idiotic program. I want to see General Hospital stay on the air but not in the form it is presently.

Hopefully, the show will take the opportunity now that they have installed Anna as police chief to finally take down the mob in the town and clean it up. If it's just a new star in the role and she will be written as dumb as Mac or powerless than why even have Anna or Fiona Hughes.

I doubt that as much as I doubt Maria Bell handing the reigns of Y&R to a competent writer and showrunner or B&B realizing that there are other stories on the show besides HOPE LIAM STEFFY or even Days realizing that Stefano needs to be retired and a new villian (who is just bad and not a murderer who gets away with everything) shows up in town.

Thank you Sassy..it was nice to read Brandon's insights

I am on the fence about weekend as Bernie's.

Heather Weber you are one wicked woman...finger paint LMAO

If I wasn't sure that Sam was already a Cartini pet I would be measuring her for a spot next to Maggie.

The action at the Quartermaine house made me very happy and when Heather strolled on thru the doors it got even better.

Todd and Sonny..meh But I agree with the poster above who mentioned attepted murder charges. Really Cartini having Sonny hold a gun on Todd in one instance and the next saying how he will be putting his daughter behind bars. WTF Sonny do you not see the irony of you doing the same thing to Todd that his daughter did to you. God they write you so stupid.

CarJohn killed me...so much potential thrown out the door for a flash in the pan hook up with Todd and Carly. Please as long as Blair walks this earth I will never think Todd could have feelings for another woman. Hate you Cartini for ruining Johnny. Did you not listen to fans who loved him because they reminded them of who Sonny used to be.

And Cartini one day without Konnie PLEASE for the love of all that is sacred in this world. ENUFF

Sonny always holds a gun on people and threatens to kill them, sometimes it's even in front of witnesses and nothing ever gets done to him. Sometimes he grazes the witnesses with a bullet from said gun and never pays (cough.. cough... Robin... the police commish's neice), hell sometimes he rigs airplanes to go down and hits his cop son over the head with his big gun and never pays. Why are people so shocked when it gets done to Todd? Hell, Todd held a gun on Sonny and threatened to kill him in front of a courtroom full of people and nothing happened to him. Sonny is a big old hypocrite from sitting there and talking about how him and Michael are going to see Starr go to prison for a long time for something Sonny does on a regular damn basis, but NOTHING changes about Sonny because he's always the writer's favorite and no one can touch him. I don't care for either Sonny or Todd. The only good thing I've seen about Todd so far since hitting the canvas is that it looks like Carly's getting a new best friend. Jason who? LOL!

I love RM, but Heather is better in small doses, sometimes she brings a bit too much crazy all at once. Personally I think not taking a letter to Steven Lars who came to visit Heather the same day or the next is something so damn petty, that it's just the cover story. There's something else in play here. They could've had a crazy goldmine if they would've put her in cahoots with Anthony, but I guess seeings how they did that with greasy Lisa, maybe they didn't want to go there.

I agree with all the posts. It killed me to watch Johnny/Carly. We all know how that is going to end. Mipeony,I wanted a HeatherAnthony pairing so badly. So much wasted crazy! Steven Lars would have had a breakdown.maybe I will get super lucky and he will have anyway.

There are so many things wrong with the Anthony story, that it's very hard to ignore them, even for a soap.

Johnny shot him four times. The carpet he fell on should have been saturated with blood as well as some splatter on the couch. Okay, i"ll forgive them that, if they had had Johnny take the carpet with Anthony when he disposed of him (or disposed the carpet elsewhere so no traces to him). But instead, there's two little drops of blood on the carpet that JOhnny covers with a pillow so Carly can't see. Come on now.

Second, I don't know what happens to dead bodies in terms of losing blood, but either there should have been a ton of blood at the boathouse for Deloes to find, or none at all. There shouldn't have been one small, FRESH drop.

I also think that Anthony would be smelling pretty ripe by now, and would not be able to be contorted into a sitting position for Delores to see.

It was silly when it was a movie in the 80s, but it stretches the brain power now even more.

LOL at Sonny holding a gun to Todd, telling Todd that his daughter who held him at gunpoint is going to stay in prison for the a long time, this is especially funny because in episode before, Sonny told Carly he wasn't a hypocrite ...oh Sonny haha

Considering the circumstance in which Starr held Sonny at gunpoint and Sonny stating he didn't take the gun away from her because he felt she needed to get whatever it was off her chest, I don't find it believable that Sonny would use Starr who just lost her family against Todd in threatening to having her put away in jail, a place where it could be argued that his son was put into and raped, partly because of his actions in bringing Claudia into their orbit.

Finally we got to see Monica, was it just me, or did Jason seem too cold, he didn't even hug her or anything, geeze Jason. I agree with the poster who said that Monica seemed to show little concern regarding how Sam is doing, I really hate how the writers never seem to write for the victim, we saw the same thing with Michael and now with Sam, and I hate it.

Loved the scenes between Heathuh Webbuh and Sam, loved when Sam said that if she wasn't pregnant she would kick Heather's ass, good to see Sam still has some spunk in her.
Half of me wants Jason to go with Sam to her lamaze class, but the other half of me wants her to tell him to kiss her ass, especially after he asked her to consider adoption, if and when they put JaSam back together which I'm praying they don't, Jason needs to bend over backwards for Sam, I'll be pissed if the writers just have her forgive him and take him back so easily after all the shit he's put her through.

"Heather tells Sam that she reaps what she sows. She says Sam broke the promise to give the letter to Steve and that will teach her not to break promises to Heather."

Does anyone else think this means Heather somehow switched the DNA results? She may have done it to pay Sam back for her "wrongs."
(Of course it's impossible that Heather would have the means to do such a thing, but that's never stopped GH from far-fetched stories before.)

Oh, the irony of it all! I FFWD Todd/Sonny scenes because they are so redundant and when I see the both of them together I am reminded by all of the reprehensible things these men have done on a daily basis, for years! I like Todd and Sonny, separately, but the combination is beyond dull.

I am sorry, I was bored with the Jason/Monica scenes. I thought the dialogue from Monica was good in parts but the actors deliveries were stilted and odd. If it weren't for the dialogue their combined body language and expression seemed appropriate for the loss of a family pet NOT the rape and impregnation of a woman. I have no joy when seeing Monica anymore and Leslie Charleston only seems able to play snarling, sniping Monica and the sentimental moments seem false. Jason seeking out Sam and the beginnings of their reunion is ugly. Jason's treatment of Sam and his lack of sympathy for her RAPE and his stating outright that if she gave the baby up for adoption so they can get back together as she is on her way to Lamaze class are too much to get over and move on. Also, Molly should be angry at Jason, not supporting JaSam's mariage until he makes amends...she's a twit. Where's Kristina?

And don't even get me started on the fact we have two Daytime Emmy winning performers and one Primetime Daytime Emmy winners (forming a triad of the stronger actors in daytime) playing out GH's version of "Weekend At Bernie's"!

Good grief.

At least there was Heather and Sam squaring off in Kelly's. Now, that's entertainment.

Weekend at Bernie is another slap in the face of the PCPD's keystone kops!

Just read in SOD that Nathin Butler was let go in late May. I am surprised no one reported this before. With both Matt and Ewen gone, are they pursuing a Liz-Patrick pairing? Was that the reason for Emma's question this week?

Other than it's Sonny and nothing sticks to him, Michael witnessed Starr waving the gun and saying she was going to kill Sonny. So he was the witness. Here, no one saw or heard Sonny, other than Todd.

ghteenybopper wrote:

I actually think that MIchael and Sonny would have come to their senses, had it not been for Todd. I think Michael would have realized that he's punishing Starr because he thinks she got close to him to get to Sonny. And Sonny would have realized the horribleness of putting a young woman who's lost her child, in jail. But along comes Todd, throwing his supposed weight around, trying to force Sonny's hand and suddenly Sonny decides he won't be agreeable. I blame it all on Todd.

sallyv wrote:

Absolutely. I called it the day Heather ran into Sam at the hospital and mentioned then about Sam not giving STeven the letter and saw Sam's DNA request.

Eh, she was able to "kill" MAggie, drag her body to her appartment without anyone seeing and forging a suicide note. Anybody is capable of anything in this town.

Until the actor's involved in the mob aspect of the show, receive new contracts there will be little change. Sonny, Jason, Carly, Sam, etc will continue to hog the show. Here's hoping that FV plays hardball and cuts their new contracts in half!

I enjoyed Friday's show even the hi jinks with Luke/Tracy/AZ.

Heather Webber reminds me of how OLTL's Marty Saybrooke taunted Natalie about Brody being Liam's father, when the fans knew it was John. It's the same story only on GH with Franco taking the role of Brody. Jason is not going to lose another biological child!

Sonny is such a little punk as he pulls out his gun. It's beginning to look like foreplay!

Perkie - OT for a sec. Ive long thought this but I would love to see DC add a tab under the GH link for perkies obs. I love all the stories that get posted but I would like to be able to sort just for your obs so that if I want to see older discussions I dont have to scan through a bunch of other stuff to go back to it. I dont know, maybe Im the only one who thinks thats a good idea, but I personally would love it.

Didnt care for the whole weekend at bernies stuff for all the redonkulous inconsistency others already mentioned.

LOVED the Heather/Sam stuff. Where heather makes others crumble, sam really stands up to her. I also loved that the scene was quintessential Sam - not backing down but also wearing her heart on her sleeve. You could really see all of the different emotions that heather brought up as she was trying desperately to push sams buttons. I do believe Heathers agenda goes past the silly "you didnt bring the letter" bit and ill be sorely disappointed if they dont have a bigger plan. Loved the finger paint stuff and loved that conversely heather didnt show that she was freaking out about monica knowing about her role in the switch - but boy did she bee-line over to the Q manse. I think heather knows about the will and has a plan for getting at the money because really hasnt she wanted and in to the cash for about two decades?

Also I disagree with soapbaby about LCs performance. Yeah, I didnt like her reaction to the rape, but heres what Im going with - after all these years monica knows jason doesnt really do well processing complicated emotions so asking him how sam is doing would be like asking me to translate Chinese in to English. So all she can do is really see how much she can get out him about himself. Plus I think she likes sam and sees sam as a conduit for more of a relationship with jason, because really sam, far more than Liz or Courtney and even slightly more than robin, has really pushed him to at least throw them a bone now and again. Shes the one that scolded him for not having told them about franco and the baby and the next day there he is confiding in monica. I did like what monica had to say about the baby, I loved her lines about her marriage to alan and about her reactions to baby Jase. Maybe its just me loving monica for so long, but I thought LC did a great job with the script she was given and I felt her how much loss she feels and how many regrets and all the love she has towards her late husband.

Ive already said what I think about Johnny. I dont know that Im torn up about CarJohn because I dont love LWs chemistry with most anyone from a romantic angle aside for ingo/jax, but I do hate that they are sending him to this dark space without playing all the beats to this story and how johnny got from the soulful self destructive piano player to this guy.

I thought it was a very watchable episode! Yes, probably no emmy performances but very entertaining. I found a double meaning to Heather's comment about fingerpainting. Remember her writing Annie's name with Diana's fingers/blood on the floor beside Diana's body?

The Luke/Tracy/Anthony stuff was a little over the top but still good fun. I wanted much more out of the Jason & Monica scenes. I say send LC along with SB for a refresher course in acting! She was just as expression-less as Jason. Maybe a little too much surgery?

Heather and Sam win for best scenes of the day! I just hope they don't send Heather so far over the edge she'll be off the show soon. Put her back on contract!

Sonny and Todd? Just stupid. The actor who plays Todd has so much more range than Sonny. Give him a more interesting storyline!

oh forgot to add sonny and todd...so stupid...why doesnt sonny just do what todd asks (its not like he needs to be truly scared of a twerp like starr when hes got far bigger issues from the alkies and the balkans and the zaccharas of the world) but rather a smart sonny could have co-opted the deal by telling todd not only will he give good press but he will basically owe sonny a favor of a later date. Isnt that what a real mob boss would do...im picturing people kissing the corleone family ring here.

I was thinking more at the top - you can choose comings and goings, soap bytes, spoilers etc. different categories. if he didnt want to do a "perkies obs" search maybe one that reads recaps so if you bookmark GH and recaps you would only see GH perkies obs with no other things like comings and goings or whatever in between.
