Log in to Reply CtFireWitch June 18, 2012 Now this is going to be very sad. At least Renee Jones can act and now she’s leaving to retire. Guess she can see the writing on the wall for Days and the other soaps….ahem Y&R Log in to Reply Yoryla June 18, 2012 This is so sad, I don’t even think I can watch. But I am glad about the way they have handled this storyline, letting her go peacefully and with dignity. And Renee Jones, of course, is an outstanding talent. I hope she puts herself into Emmy consideration next year. Log in to Reply SoapArmageddon June 18, 2012 We’re losing one of Daytime’s best actresses. NBC Daytime should have been hyping this story for weeks. A Today Show interview would have been nice. How often does someone walk away from a thirty-year career for the right reasons? Log in to Reply marybee50 June 18, 2012 I agree SoapArmageddon. What a lovely and talented actress, she should have been promoted more. She will be missed. Live long and prosper Renee. RIP Lexie. Log in to Reply arielade June 18, 2012 I’m not sure I can watch either… And you are so right about the lack of publicity SoapArmageddon Log in to Reply blake3b June 19, 2012 This looks really sad. I’m glad they are having Lexie die in Abe’s arms while on a date with him. Glad the actress stated she didn’t want Lexie to die in a hospital. A shame that DAYS couldn’t provide more story for one of their strongest actresses before she made the decision to retire.
