Dennis Haskins, best known for his role as principal Richard Belding on NBC's hit sitcom Saved By The Bell, has landed a guest spot on the sudser as a priest. What will the gang at Bayside high say about this? Look for Haskins' debut on July 13. Photo by PR Photos 26 Responses SoapArmageddon July 9, 2012 Y&R has a sort of tradition of having priests and judges played by former primetime stars, so I won’t knock Maria on this. Log in to Reply soapjunkie88 July 9, 2012 First, I want to know what channel MAB is watching that gives her these casting ideas. LOL And second, can you place bets yet on who the next sitcom star is that appears on that show??? Log in to Reply The_Moustache July 9, 2012 i wish they had gotten Screech instead. he needs the work. After just a few days he’d say: “And I thought the Tates were crazy”, while giving Victor the “Chester”-treatment.
Then Miss Piggy guest to have tea and crumpets with Nikki.
A twin for Nikki? Why not! Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Meanwhile, Kermit the Frog is hired do to an expose on Victor for Restless Style.
And you know he’ll turn psycho as soon as he finds out that Victor once hold Julia’s lover in his basement. Log in to Reply Yoryla July 9, 2012 And the stunt casting continues…. So who is going to get married this time? My money’s on Adam & Chelsea. Log in to Reply Thomas July 9, 2012 I guess MBA watches Z True Long Stories for her to cast Mr. Belding that only time I have seen him on any thing this doesn’t help show, but I guess will here Hey Hey Hey !!! what’s going on around here. Log in to Reply Camp is not a sustainable model July 10, 2012 @everyone: There is one return Maria could do that would generate a lot of press. And we all know who that woman is…But hey…I’m just saying… Log in to Reply The_Moustache July 10, 2012 @David46208 the Scientologist that runs the show ain’t having her back. and we know who that is. Log in to Reply MsAgentProvocateur1 July 10, 2012
Every time I think it might be time to tune back in, something like THIS happens.
My sentiments precisely! I know that I must accept that this is the status quo caliber of storytelling that now exists in Daytime Drama but just…SIGH. Regurgitating the same ole’ storylines (didn’t Sharon start stealing when Nick got back with Phyllis during one of their 50 reconciliations?) and now it’s back to the same thing with Adam, Adam of the baby stealing and lying kind to whom she was married to for like, five minutes? Sharon character is once again being decimated in order to ‘service’ other characters. Oh boy! And the Phyllis character runs this show (and will run it into the ground) so I don’t care to watch her pretend comeuppance that clearly has the intention of going absolutely nowhere (why can’t Christine just give Phyllis a good old fashioned Dynasty themed Azz Whuppin’? It would be more satisfying than this fake criminal resolution). Until they get a more proficient team of writers and get rid of this regime, I guess I’ll be living on You Tube and classic Y&R. Log in to Reply pjc722 July 10, 2012 FIX THE DAMN SHOW, MARIA!!! NO MORE STUNT CASTING – DAISY DUKE, BRETT BUTLER, THE TALK HOST, AND NOW SOMEONE FROM A CHEAP ASS SATURDAY MORNING SITCOM THAT WILL GET AS MUCH ATTENTION AS A CANCELLATION NOTICE FOR OUR SHOW! NO MORE STUNT STORIES – DAISY, DAISY DUKE, ANYTHING LATELY WITH RONAN (Seriously, do the story there that is meant to be told OR DON”T BRING HIM BACK ALL THE TIME), SHARON AND VICTOR, NIKKI AND MAYBE VICTOR MAYBE JACK, VICTORIA BEING A WEAK ASS BITCH WITH NO BACKBONE, ETC. NO MORE HUGE STORIES WITH NO PAYOFF – This week Christine will discover that it was Phyllis who ran down and tried to kill her and Paul and then FLED THE SCENE which is a HIT AND RUN as well as attempted murder. Chris will confront Phyllis with the proof and by WEEK’S END, guess up Y&R fans, a legal loophole will get Phyllis off!!! SERIOUSLY, This was a 17 year old story that was brought back to life FOR WHAT REASON?!!! New fans have no knowledge of Phyllis’ old DAISY-esque life and her many murderous ways and OLD FANS want to see her pay will only get a clean rewrite of history when Michael can’t convict her or bring charges against her. Nick will dump her for a week and then take her back when he breaks a nail. I am one fan who will STOP WATCHING THIS SHOW at the end of this week or next week when my prediction comes true. Maria Bell is an idiot who took a wonderful and beautiful gift that her late and great father in law left as a legacy and turn it from a garden of eden of great story telling into a trailer trash of lukewarm suspense and DUMB ASS GARBAGE!!! I hope you are happy with yourself, Maria. Log in to Reply Newmanwins July 10, 2012
And the stunt casting continues….So who is going to get married this time? My money’s on Adam & Chelsea.
I would suggest since Mr. Belding is marrying them, and since neither Adam/Chelsea has any friends, they bring Slater on to be the best man and Jessie on as the maid of honor. Screech can also join in to play the organ, which he did quite well back in high school, and Lisa makes sense as the wedding planner, since she was great at putting together last minute shindigs. I suppose you can work Zack/Kelly into things. Sharon is coming to crash the wedding of Adam/Chelsea, but gets a flat tire so Zack/Kelly pull over to help her, and Zack changes the tire. Sharon thanks him by trying to seduce him up against the car, while Kelly comes back out from the store, and yanks Sharon down by the hair and punches her out so she misses the wedding. How do they stay in such great shape. If I have one too many mixed drinks, or an extra plate of food, my abs go south. Morrow has fitness ‘down pat’. I thought Nick was a bit on the flabby side in the waist area and of course, no doubt about Sarge, since he didn’t even remove his shirt. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 July 11, 2012 I am trying to figure out why they bring someone like this onto the show and then let a talent like Eileen Davidson disappear. Someone must be off their meds. Log in to Reply Blue Skies and Palomino Ponies July 11, 2012 I’d like to see Miss DiPesto from the Blue Moon Detective Agency working at Gloria’s real estate agency as the receptionist, Abe Vigoda’s Fish running the GCPD morning reports attended by Ronan, Michael, Heather, all FBI agents who like to take sabbaticals to defend former spouses, and Victor, who is just there to make sure that they throw the book at any of his family members who get on his last nerve. I’d also like to see Charo pass through, having wandered a little too far from port on a recent Love Boat cruise day trip. If there is any chance that ALF is not working, he would voice a perfect Mr. Kitty, so if Patty is responsible for picking up Ricky’s knife, that would be a great way to go. Log in to Reply tedew July 11, 2012 This is only a short term deal which I don’t have any problem with. The problem is is when new characters are brought in (at the apparent detriment to the existing ones) that are not necessary and go absolutely nowhere. MsAgentProvocateur1 … I do agree with your post #13. I just can’t see a way for Phyllis to get out of this but I’m also sure that somehow some way it is happen and Phyllis may be slightly down but certainly not out. And that’s very realistic when all know something that drastic about their favourite enemy and sometimes friend.
