General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Michael asks Kristina’s opinion about which tie he should wear for his date with Starr. However, she’s not very enthusiastic, complaining that Trey isn’t interested in a relationship with her.  Michael warns her against Trey, but Kristina feels that he’s a good guy.  Michael asks if she’s okay with him dating Starr. She says he has her support, but to loosen up a little and to lose the tie.

Trey leaves another message for his father. When Starr gets home, they get into another argument until he admits that his father hasn’t been returning his calls and he’s worried.  Starr offers to call her detective friend or her father to help. However, Trey’s not that concerned yet.  He heads out to meet Kristina to check out Sonny’s warehouse.

John visits Joe in a holding cell in Atlantic City.  Joe still claims that John was responsible for putting the target on Teresa’s back and Sonny for shooting her.  Joe says he made a good life for himself and no one will take it away from him.  Joe says he’s going to sue Sonny and John. He then mentions losing a medal that he always wore.  He wonders why John would care so much about a sister he never knew. John says he made his father a promise to protect her.

Kate finds Sonny at the warehouse and tells him how her sessions with Ewen have been going.  She says she needs to be honest about everything. Sonny tells her that he found Joe and brought him to PC, but didn’t get a chance to kill him because of McBain.  Sonny tells her that Joe accused her of throwing herself at him and that it wasn’t rape.  Kate is upset and even more so when Sonny tells her Joe knew about the baby.

Anna calls Tracy down to the PCPD and lets her know that Anthony’s body has been found and that she’s got Heather in custody for moving the body, even though she has no evidence.  Anna says the autopsy showed Anthony was shot with the gun. Tracy again denies killing him, which Anna believes.  Tracy again points the finger at Luke.

Heather tells Todd to help her with her alibi plus one more thing. Todd is not interested in until she reminds him that he allowed Tea to take the baby which the police would consider kidnapping.  She says she needs him to care and feed someone or they’ll die, since she’s stuck in lock up.

Heather says she’s only holding Luke until he admits he has feelings for her. She tells Todd that he’s at the shack in the woods.  Todd’s concerned that Luke will be able to identify him, but Heather tells him to figure something out.

Luke wonders if he’ll ever be found before he starves to death and then hallucinates Lulu showing up to rescue him only she doesn’t.  Luke hallucinates Anna and Tracy being disgusted with him and glad he’s out of their lives.

Michael nervously knocks on Starr’s door and she nervously answers.  They make small talk. Then Michael wonders why he’s so nervous since there should be no pressure which Starr agrees to.

Anna catches Todd with Heather, but he’s heading out to do her bidding.  Heather wants to know where her lawyer is. Anna points out that Steve must be having a hard time finding someone to represent her.  She pulls out a tape recorder to make things official.

Trey and Kristina show up at the warehouse. Sonny introduces Kate to Trey, but she says they’ve already met, when he accused her of killing Starr’s family.  This makes Sonny angry, but Trey apologizes for his comments that day.  Sonny doesn’t want to continue with the filming, but Kate convinces him to do it for Kristina.  Trey complains to Kristina that he won’t let a kid killer judge him. Kris tells him to back off Kate.  After Kate leaves, Sonny tells Trey that he’s only tolerating him for Kris’ sake and not to disrespect those he loves again.

Trey swears he’s just there to record the family dynamic, but Sonny laughs that off.  He and Kristina talk while Trey scouts the best place to shoot.  Sonny doesn’t understand why Kris can’t see what kind of person Trey really is.  Kristina says Trey is honest about what he does and who he is.  Sonny reminds her that she has a nice life thanks to him.

Trey moves the chair over and spots his father’s medallion on the floor.

Todd, inspired by the fact that it’s Friday the thirteenth, dresses up in costume to bring Luke his food.

Can you imagine just how bad Luke smells by now? Never getting let up to void his bladder or bowels? Yuck.

Now see I like Tracey and Anna together like they were in Luke's hallucination today better than when they're working against one another.

I wonder if they're going to dismantle Dante/Lulu like they did Jason/Sam? If Steve doesn't open up his mind about his mother and Olivia wont shut her mouth about his mother I can see them ending soon also. I'd rather Heather just take care of Olivia forever, that way I never have to hear her defending the man who shot their son in cold blood ever again. Either way, it seems like there won't be any couples left on this soap soon.

The rest of it.. eh. Joe Jr. strikes me as another Teflon Don like Sonny is, nothing will stick.

I would've liked a scene with McBain coming into Todd's office to speak to him before he left town so he could Sam in her pretty dress! hahahhaha.

I realized in yesterday's episode that I like Trey as long as he has his shirt off and I don't listen to what he's saying. But as soon as he puts his shirt on it's back to - don't like him, don't care. Tongue

Starr and Michael were sweet, but I already smell the quad with Trey and Kristina. Starr and Trey friendly with each other and Kristina has something to overreact on again. -.-

I liked Luke and his hallucinations of Lulu, Tracy and Anna. Nicely done. And in the end, Todd masked as Jason. LMAO.

I also liked that it was Friday the 13th in Port Charles or as Heather calls it her happy day. LOL

The actor playing Joe Jr. is bad. I'm sorry but the guy can't hold one scene. And to that comes the character of Joe Jr. What a pathological liar he is.

Michael and Starr are too childish and being written occ. That's not Michael's personality at all and trying to make him some sweet preppy ackward boy doesn't work given everything he's been through. And Starr just lost her family but brushes it off because someone with DID killed them?

RS( Joe Jr) is still bad. It's been about 5 years since I've seen him on a soap and still no improvements.

Did they really need to mention every two minutes that it was Friday the 13th? Very campy

I tend to believe that Starr/Michael endgame. They just have to lead slowly up to them.

Trey is Kates from what I can tell. That would mean Joe Jr and Sonny's kids are into each other. For me, more story.

I think the group is quad only to give them each friends otherwise they are isolated. Most kids their ages have friends/groups they do things with all the time. Just sayin.....

IRL this age group has friends.

After all the drama earlier this week this episode was a bit of a let down. I fell asleep for a while in the middle of it. Although, to be fair, I think I was just really tired. Smile

I love Todd & Heather. The PCPD finally looks like a real cop shop with Anna running the show. I'm not too interested in the teen scene but I wasn't interested in it when I was a teen either. It's a good way to introduce that group to the audience and set them up for their adult storylines but other than that I pretty much don't care.

Kelly Sullivan has moments of brilliance and then in the very next breath she does something so spazmostic I'm cringing in embarrassment for her. I don't know if it's working for me but they are certainly doing a good job of trying to make Sonny look more human through her. It's still going to take a lot for me to be able to watch him without my eyes wide shut. I'm still hoping they allow his character to evolve and he is permitted to GROW the eff UP.

All in all it was a good show...just a little light for a Friday after such a stellar week.

Is anyone else getting a gay vibe from Trey? He's not into Kristina. He doesn't seem to be doing the angry-flirty thing with Starr, just the angry thing. What does everyone else think?

I thought Trey was gay from the very beginning and hope to find out that Michael is really bi-sexual.

RC switching up couples is a good thing IMO and should have occurred last year when GW took over as HW. Patrick is without a pairing and since the show knew for over a year that KMc was leaving they should have brought on Dr. Sarah Webber instead of Kate#2.

Seriously does anyone ever care about these new characters? Is this really going to save GH in the end? I couldn't care less about Trey, Shawn, his kid, all these people taking up air time from the characters we want to come back to GH to see. Bring on the Quartermaines, bring on the Webbers, The Hardys, Bring back the people we have missed so much for so many years. This show is still 85% FF material.

Actually, I like the way they had Michael play that. Remember, he never really had the chance to have a first date. First, he was just a little kid. Then he was in a coma, then came back to school full of anger. Then he offed Claudia and that messed him up. Then he went to prison, and we all know what happened to him there. When he hooked up with Abby, she kind of took the lead and they didn't really have a traditional first date. It was kind of sweet to see him have that first date awkwardness after all he's been through. (Of course, I still think of Michael as that sweet little baby who used to say "ball" and reach for an orange Jason was holding during one of his internal dialog soliloquies. I will always want good things for that little baby.)

As for Starr, I actually thought she hooked back up with Cole pretty quickly at the end of OLTL. Granted, she had thought he was dead and was happy to see him, but prior to that she had chosen James Ford. Since only a few months had passed, how solid could they actually be? Anyway, I'll suspend disbelief yet again because I kind of like Starr and Michael getting together. It's kind of like a fresh new start for both of them after their troubled soapy childhoods.

I really related to Michael on Friday. I had those same nerves and practicing what to say when I was his age...and not just with my first girlfriend.

As for Starr getting over Cole so fast, we have to once and for all accept that things happen in "soap time" on soaps. They don't have the luxury of letting a character mourn for two or three years before finding love again. Grief gets SORASed, just as kiddies do.

Mipeony LMAO at the thought of luke and his bathroom problem - I hadnt thought of that. I did wonder how he imagined anna, tracy and lulu in exactly the same clothes they were wearing that day and I wondered if perhaps the lack of water had made him somewhat psychic (he congered lulu up right down to her purple handbag lol) I didnt love his beg forgiveness of tracy explanation for "falling for slim" thought but watching the masters work was great.

loved all things heather and todd. too flipping funny.

loving sweet starr and michael. we need this element in the show.

loved seeing a glimpse of the old sonny (the mobster with the heart of gold)

Wasnt RS a love interest for tricia on loving? I know ive seen him on other things and I still find him sub par. COuldnt they have gone with someone like tom eplin or frank Dicopoulos - someone from one of the defunct soaps with a following in the right age range.

It's great seeing Tracey but I just am not interested in these stories honestly I'm searching hard for something to keep me connected to the show daily....this Jason's baby from broken uterus to switch with Franco (now Heather) hanging on has bored me to tears.

Todd & Heather's snappy repertoire is cute but for how long and how is Todd Manning being so manipulated by her? I don't recall Todd being like this when I watched him years ago but maybe he changed.

Don't give a rat's ass about Michael & Starr being written to work after their initial flop because I still don't see anything chemistrywise between them.

Krystina actress is not a very good one.

John & his dead sister ... Eh

Sonny & Kate's storyline just got through with one rape storyline don't need another..... Eh

Joe Scully another Sonny villain #555-555586 much like all the other ones...to make Sonny and/or Jason look better than the bad guy.

My dad, "my dad" ZZZZZZzz

and yes I get a very guy vibe from Trey

YEP JBJ always have on B&B... e.g., one that got me doing a WTH?

Donna and Justin with no storyline (or dialog)..no indication of their marriage in trouble after being MIA on the screen just popped up out of the blue one eppy sat down at a table for lunch with Brook to say they are getting a divorce & by the end of the eppy she was on Nick's boat because although she's rich enough to afford getting her own digs Brook insisted she stay with Nick then next thing I know romance is in the air & they are in a relationship....Huh?

Not only do I think Trey is gay, but he also does not know of his dad's vendetta. Otherwise he would most definitely be savoring the goods Kristina throws at him and taking advantage of her feelings.

Unless Trey thinks Sonny is his biological father and, therefore, that Kristina is his sister... who knows what Joe Jr. told him. Joe Jr. might even believe it himself.

I enjoy Heather's antics, but I'll sigh in relief when her time on GH is finally up.

Yep. Trey pings my gaydar, too. I'm glad someone finally said it. There's still time for them to give us that story, rather than they obvious Michael/Starr/Trey/Kristina quad.

Michael bi-sexual no leave him straight. I like him with Starr. None of the remaining soaps have anytime of romance and I am liking the sweetness of Starr and Michael it off sets the darkness on gh. They are cute and I look forward to watching them

Michael could still be bisexual and like Starr, but also have the hots for Trey. It would be rather soapy and Carly's head would probably explode. Party

I still don't see GH being saved since ABC/Disney probably has a ton of cheap junk just oozing to replace the show.

They could always bring Bobbie's son (sorry, I'm blanking on the name? Lucas?) back for Trey. Then at least we'd be getting another Spencer, and it would give Carly family without it being yet another Corinthos.

I wouldnt mind lucas coming back but making michael bisexual after having been raped in a male prison - theres something about that which feels icky to me, that raises all sorts of questions and takes us places im not entirely comfortable with in terms of that being the only bi character on the canvas.

I don't get it when soap producers and writers do the idiotic to get revenge. So let's get this str8. Joe is Trey's dad which means Kate is Trey's mommy. GOT IT.

Joe is made at Kate for 'throwing' their child away and for Sonny killing his dad. So for years Joe raises his son to get revenge at the right moment in time, BASICALLY 20 some odd years later. OK, so far it hasn't lost me yet.

Kristina goes to college... Yale or Harvard, mind you... and in the span of 1 semester (granted, it's actually the time frame of 1 semester split over 2 semesters) where Kristina discovers that her daddy paid for her to get into college. (OK, most kids who are DUMB and get to go to Havard or Yale actually are smart enough to realize that their IQ didn't get them in there on the first day of classes for them that is actually the second month of classes for everyone else. But I digress).

Kristina's discovery leads this dumb ass spoiled brat to a sleezy and extremely young reality show producer WHO JUST SO HAPPENS to want to do a reality show on a mob princess. OK... starting to lose me now.

Back in the mob princess' home town, her mob boss dad's girlfriend has just discovered she has DID (I like to think it means DUMB IS DUMBER syndrome but that is what is affecting the producers of this show) which was caused by the rape years ago by the reality show producer's dad on the mob boss' girlfriend who will turn out to be the mother of the reality show producer.

OK, they lost me here.

The reality guy's dad is kidnapped by the mob boss, brought across state lines to Port Charles where he reveals all.

OK, they truly lost me here because there are JUST SOOOOOO MANY coincidences in the whole story(stories) that make me opt not to watch this show. Sure. Have Kate have DID. I will buy it. Sure, let me believe she was raped but let's move past the revelation before introducing the rapist. Now, I will buy the story of the reality show producer being her long lost disposed of son in a heart beat but only if for all this time the kid just thought he was adopted and that he knew nothing of his mom. Then slowly he discovers who his mom is and then his 'adopted' dad comes to town only to discover that the guy is his real dad and that his real mom is the DID lady.

That's drama. THis "let's give Sonny another reason for a gun and more of a reason for John to walk around with his hands in his pockets, whispering a growl" scenarios are just such nonsensical ways of creating drama that it makes me think that producers and writers truly do suffer from DID syndrome (DUMB IS DUMBER!!!)

Michael's been giving me gay vibes sicne this actor was cast in the role. What's wrong with making Michael bi? Are people on soaps not allowed to be bi?He certainingly hasn't had a any hot chemistry with the females he's been with.

And can they stop writing these 20 year old characters as if they are preteens?

I am getting a little concerned on this blog by all this GAY VIBE crap people are putting out there. There is no gay vibe going on with these characters or actors. People are reading way more into mannerisms than they should be doing, especially since most of you don't know which actors right now on soaps playing straight characters are really gay in real life.

Plus, do you seriously think that if Cartini or the previous regime when they recast Michael with the new actor that if their intention was for him to be gay that it would take as long as it has to have him come out of the closet with stories moving so fast nowadays on our stories that if you miss a week you might miss the story?!

I am gay and I think those seeing the gay vibe are reading more into the way the character is being portrayed as opposed to the way he is meant to be. Look at how Michael was portrayed with the same actor with that stripper character he dated. He was all MACHO, I AM SONNY'S SON kind of manly with her. At 19 taking her to his father's private island, buying her clothes, acting WAY TOO OLD for his age and for the audience to buy it. Now Starr is on the canvas and the new producers want a younger demo with these two so they are being written as college freshman. Michael is all nervous and shy around Starr and Starr is acting as though she hasn't gone through in her characters life a LIFETIME of soap tragedy that she's acting like a star-crossed teenage lover. (I mean, the girl lost her family, was a teen mom and bride, ran away with her lover and child, dated a guy who could have been a killer, she's been kidnapped and held at gun point, she's even held a character captive as a child)

As for Trey, because he is rejecting Kristina means only one thing... that he is here to ruin her father and is JUST NOT INTO THE SPOILED DUMB RICH KID. It's like real life. The vibe everyone is talking about with these 2 characters is wrong.

And if I'm wrong in 6 months to a year... WOW, they are one hot gay couple!!!

I think Michael has shown he has really good chemistry with Starr over the past week or so. I think they are very believable as a couple. As for writing 20-year-old characters as through they are pre-teens, I wish they'd stop doing that for seniors, too (Luke, Tracy, Anna, etc.)

Except Marr aren't being written like college freshman they are being written like high school freshman. That nervous stuff when they both have experience stuff was crap. Michael dated an experienced stripper for months so him acting like he'd never been with a female was silly. Starr as a teen was with Cole, having babies and playing house. It would've been cute scenes for Molly and TJ but not even Molly and TJ act like that.
