The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Will Dr. Tim Seal Phyllis' Fate?

Victor/Nikki: The Black Knight tries once again to persuade his lady love to stop her wedding plans with Old Smilin' Jack. Nikki doesn't budge. Naturally Victor decides revenge is the key to get what he wants.

Billy/Phyllis/Nick: The Abbott playboy is feeling the heat from his reality TV show producers about Big Red's hit-and-run. It seems the show wants to put their deal on hold until the case dies down. However, Billy tells them he will give Phyllis the boot and will grant access to the story. Nick finds out what his brother-in-law has done and let's just say he is not thrilled to discover Billy ran the story. The two get into a heated argument resulting in Nick throwing a punch at Billy. Phyllis wants her story to be heard and comes up with an oh so brilliant plan to write her own. Nick and Avery both think she should lay low, but she decides to go ahead anyways. Will Phyllis' article do more harm than good kids? Meanwhile, Dr. Tim hits town and it doesn't look to good for Phyllis.

Jack/Ashley: Jackie wants to snatch Jabot from his littler sister's hands. Ash comes to a conclusion about her future.

Nick: A video of the Newman heir hits the media which is very damning.

Christine: Cricket wonders what Phyllis did to Dr. Tim. Genoa City residents also want to know what happened to him as well.

Kyle/Abby: The cousins throw a pool party. Meanwhile, Abby wants to make up for the fake kidnapping drama.

Chelsea/Sharon: The con artist confronts the slonkey about her actions. Chelsea demands Sharon stay away from her man! Later, Chelsea starts to wonder what her parents are really after.

Paul: The gum shoe stuns all with his choice.

Tucker/Genevieve: Stefan and Laura, err I mean the rebel billionaire and the mob moll's past starts to have ramifications on their lives today.

Ugh! Nick has go to be one of the most loathsome characters on Y&R. (Astonishingly, he's one of the few who, for the most part, is spared much criticism.) I can see why he's so in love with Phyllis. He's as judgmental and hypocritical as she is. He knows that she is guilty, yet in the space of two shows, he threatens Cricket ("Stay away from the people I care about!") and punches Billy.

First of all, Christine has every reason to be out for blood. If someone ran me down in the middle of the street and left me for dead, I would go after them with a vengeance, no matter how many years had passed. And adding injury to insult, not only has Phyllis not shown a lick of remorse or contrition, but she won't even woman up and admit to what she did. How does that qualify her for a free pass? People keep saying that she's changed. Well, she may no longer be the type to resort to murder to get her way, but she is still a horrible horrible person.

And as for Restless Style's expose on Phyllis, isn't that simply ripping a page from the book she wrote? She is always using that magazine to further her own interests, sometimes at the expense of the Newmans. I just don't understand why Nick overlooks everything she does while critiquing the minutiae of everyone else's lives. Even when she ripped Lucy out of his sister's home, he basically gave Phyllis a verbal smack on the wrist and then took her to bed.

Either the sex with Phyllis is incredible (and judging from the hold she has over Ronan, I don't doubt that it is), or Nick is simply the dumbest, most emasculated man in daytime. I know Genoa City is populated by a bunch of judgmental hypocrites, but Nick is the worst offender because he's the type who almost always resorts to violence.

Can I get an amen?!

jezza ... Amen!. I could not agree with you more.

I find it really troubling (within the context the story) and disappointing (to us) that Cricket at this point seems to be made out to be the villain in this whole bringing Phyllis to justice matter. I can't stand how everyone is rallying around that poor misguided confused creature; who has never done anything wrong at all ever to hurt any of her family or friends. Phyllis' misdeeds are on a list that is much much too long to list anywhere. Somehow she needs to make a payout and I'm not looking forward to how that seems to be on the bypass right now.

Your observations regarding Nick are right on. Maybe you should stand behind someone who has done wrong if you truly love them but Nick also has every reason to distrust Phyllis' every move. He even seems to forget that she stole an unwanted baby from two (including his sister) who loved her and named her Lucy. That he would have such reaction and loathing for an article printed (and approved in principle by Victoria) is not reasonable since he darn well knows that his sainted wife would have a similar article printed before you could even blink an eye.

Regarding Sharon ... she also remains confused and all. But I did like how she told Victor exactly how it is and always will be between he and Nikki. Seems she is correct about that since he's now on yet another vendetta against his arch rival in love and business.

Jack and Ashley ... just leave Jack alone Ashley. You are being unreasonable and too much a harpy in that matter. Besides, you are leaving town.

I happen to love the Tucker and Gen characters and the actors who portray them. Can't wait to see what happens next as their storyline is finally heating up.Stephen Nichols and Genie Francis are two of the best in the business and aren't going anywhere so the haters will just have to learn to live with it!

The sex with Red MUST be good. Every man who has sex with her, cant wait to rip her clothes off. Be it on a desk, behind a dumpster, you name it. I wonder what it must be like?

Take care, Eileen D, we love you. We will see you in a few months on DAYS.

Gen and Tucker, oh well. Or should I say, who cares?

@Jezza--I second Tedew's amen. Nick's been the biggest douche on daytime for a few years now so I'm not surprised he turned on a dime in the span of a few episodes and is now behind Phyllis. And the scene where he tells Christine to stay away from his family made my stomach turn. And you're right Tedew; making Cricket out as the villain in all this, despite viewers' hatred for her often holier-than-thou self righteousness, is utterly disgusting. Again, Paul sits in jail for something that can only be seen as an accident while Phyllis roams the streets for purposely trying to kill a couple of folks. Maybe the next time this show hires some new writers they can aim a little higher...say, first or second graders?

I see that ratings are down for Y&R, while household figures are stagnant at best. No surprise there.

Y&R could have saved Eileen Davidson by firing Tucker and Genevieve. Putting those 2 together is a dumb move to begin with because they have no chemistry whatsoever together. Actually, neither actor has been able to muster much energy with co-stars since arriving on the show, albeit for that chemistry Ashley exhibited with him when they first met at the airport years ago as she was trying to flee town with Faith, whom she thought was her daughter. Since then, it was just another scripted romance.

As for Victor and his pompous ways, I am getting so over him screaming that he knows best while he beds his 2 sons' ex-wife and his grandchildren's mother! It's gross and the way that Victor screams his orders and bullies people, I just don't get why his kids bother with him.

The Phyllis story could be amazing if we only could see Phyllis admit guilt to one person, let's say Avery, and because Avery is her sister, her lawyer etc, Avery can't tell anyone. But as usual with this character and the writers, her motivations are all "good" and everyone else be damned. She ran over Chris and Paul n left them for dead "BUT CHRISTINE HAS ALWAYS HATED HER" so let Phyllis off. Daisy & Ricky are psychopaths who can't be redeemed BUT THERE STORY IS A CARBON COPY OF MINE but I am Phyllis so I am better.

We all know she's guilty, let's make this more about Phyllis owning up to it and fighting not to go to jail as opposed to her and the writers trying to make us believe she is sort of innocent. We all know at the last second someone will come out and say they saw her hesitate when she was about to hit them or something that will get her off. It will come down to a witness NO ONE KNEW ABOUT 20 years ago.

Victor and Phyllis... they do bad things and the writers let them get away with it.

And CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY PAUL IS STILL IN JAIL AFTER ADMITTING HIS CRIME AND BEING ONE OF THE MOST UPSTANDING CITIZENS IN TOWN AND PHYLLIS IS HOME ALREADY AFTER HIDING HER INVOLVEMENT IN A CRIME FOR 20 YEARS?!!! And has fled prosecution before in the past?!

Can't wait to see Carmine at the pool party....... sigh....

I did not feel sorry for Sharon at all, trying to break up the marriage before it even happens. And then the stupid Victor, who catches her lying to him, takes and moves her back in at the ranch, just to get back at Nikki?

Oh Joy..... a summer of Sharon and Victor. Just like canned peaches Smile

Who cares!!!!
It is just total BS anyway.
I am waiting for Michelle Stafford and Eric Braeden to go on vacation and maybe I will start caring again. Someone should do a an episode count and see how many times those two have been on in last two months. The spoilers dont even interest me anymore. Because they are mostly all about Phyllis & Victor and everyone else is just accessories.

People, we all know that Red is a legacy character and can't just go off to jail for a decade. If she could, they'd convict her of Sasha Green's murder too. RED has to get off - just like me, every time I see Carmine...

CBS/Sony should just cancel this show.

who cares if there will only be 2 soaps (after GH is over in a few months) left.

losing Y&R is no big loss at this point.

I think GH is a goner before year's end. ABC just wants to move on. They don't promote it as part of their dayblock programming. It's the step-child that they want gone.

DAYS is on life support right now, but has better ratings than GH. It's on freakin' NBC no less.

Y&R still makes CBS buckets of money, so I don't think it will be gone for another three years. B&B and Y&R will be the last daytime soaps standing.

Why this board is obsessed with GH is beyond me.

As far as Nick Newman goes, he's a total waste of space. A douche supreme played by a no-talent hack actor that hasn't made an attempt to be a better actor. He's lazy and arrogant, but his looks are starting to wane. Josh Morrow had better watch out. He was close to getting shown the exit once before and it doesn't take much to get dumped these days. Nothing is for sure now.

Of course, ABC wants out of the soap game, that much has been clear for a long, long time. Yet General Hospital is moving time slots on September 20, 2012. It will not "be a goner" before December 31, 2011. If that were the case, ABC simply would have canceled it and extended "Good Afternoon America," a show vastly cheaper to produce than GH, until the network had another replacement in the wings.

If ABC wants to cancel GH sooner rather than later, there is nothing preventing them from doing so. GH has made small, incremental but important gains over the last few months. If they want to shut it down by year's end they can and it's not improbable but it is becoming less likely, at least for the moment. Conventional wisdom has it that GH will at least survive until its 50th anniversary, April 1, 2013. This makes much more sense from a scheduling, ratings, production and development cycle than it being "a goner before year's end." I could be wrong so we'll see.

As for why "this board" is "obsessed" with GH, I can't tell you but last I checked all four of the remaining shows had topics, comments sections and forums dedicated to them where people can comment at will. Cheers!

hey mon ... I can't say that I've seen any chemistry between Phyllis and anyone. The sex scenes look strained, awkward and comical.

ChrisGa ... that Nick/Christine scene is what basically prompted my post #4 in this thread. Originally I felt Christine was being too aggressive and unbendable in this; but I changed my mind.

pjc722 ... Phyllis has already admitted guilt to Daniel her son.

wiggum ... I'm thinking that knife is in Daisy's little hands.

RealityCheck 33 ... JM's saving grace as Nick for me is that I think he looks so much better now than before.

Regarding Paul ... I certainly get why you guys wonder why he is still wearing that designer orange suit in that other Genoa City Hotel; but unfortunately the current evidence as seen by those in charge is all there to keep him there for now.

Totally disagree,Tucker and Gen have tons of chemistry and I love them. I only started watching when Genie came to the show. Genie has lots of chemistry with all her costars,Cane,Jill,Colin,Victor,Jack,Lilly,Victoria and even Ashley before her relationship with Jack went south. I think both actors bring alot of talent to the show and make it more interesting to watch. Neither actor had anything to do with Eileen Davidson being fired. The show didn't want to continue writing for her while she's on DOOL,they wanted her for Y&R but Sony who owns both shows wanted Eileen on Days more. It's amazing how actors are blamed for what the show or the writers choose to do,they don't have the power to make those choices.

So so sick of Phyllis ...she did tell Danny that she did the crime...if only that would come out..she may be a changed person but all soap viewers know how "changed " she really is ...she had no problem with bringing Daisy to town..I understand that
Lucy is her granddaughter but really...she did cover story after cover story & even now she is not being truthful (she paid Dr. Tim to leave). ..of course she can't go totally off screen but she has to pay somehow..love the mag exposé ...we know she will walk...but let's hope there is some payola for her along the way!!!

A good question.

Peter Porte or Marco Dapper?

Hmmm ... that is a very hard question.

It is a conflict within me. A someone who is half Italian and half-Latino, I am conflicted by their characters.

If I was a girl or gay, I would probably definitely go for Pete Porte. He seems like he has some brains, and did a great job as Ricardo Williams. I feel he should have been a legacy character. Oh well.

Dapper has shown too much skin for me. But I do appreciate that the writers have had Carmine banging away at Abby, cause she needs it good, although if she were my daughter I would want her to start settling down. Dont see much in there future, as Carmine seems to be part of the Clown Fisher story-line more than the Newman-Abbott permanency of the Show.
