Y&R BYTES: Nick (Josh Morrow) demanded answers from Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), after finding out she paid her former shrink to leave town . Phyllis danced around the topic, saying it wasn’t important. Later, in what is sure to complicate things for Phyllis, Ronan (Jeff Branson) found the good doctor, with an umbrella drink in hand, and forced him to return to Genoa City.
Abby (Marcy Rylan) wanted to know more about Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Heather’s (Jennifer Landon) relationship. She immediately jumped off the deep end, as she’s prone to do, and sent him off in Heather’s direction. Are you digging Daniel and Heather?
Abby to Sharon: “So nice to see you. How are you? Are you still accepting insanely expensive gifts from my father for offering—please don’t tell me what—in return?”
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) confronted Jack (Peter Bergman) about Jabot and Beauty of Nature. She then visited Victor (Eric Braeden), who tried to convince her to sell him her shares. She refused, so he asked for her share’s proxy. Fed up with Jack, Victor and Abby, Ashley told her daughter she expected her to help get the companies away from Jack. If only Davidson was still at The Young and the Restless. I would have loved to see a corporate power struggle in which Ashley and Abby take on Victor and Jack.
GH BYTES: Kristina (Lindsey Morgan) got sisterly advice from Sam (Kelly Monaco). Sam told her sister if she wanted to be happy, then quit the reality show. I still haven’t adjusted to nuKristina, the spoiled, vapid mob princess
Kate (Kelly Sullivan) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) that Todd (Roger Howarth) canned her. Sonny said he'd buy Kate a new magazine.
Michael (Chad Duell) and Starr (Kristen Alderson) talked about his need to declare a major, and map out his future. My question would be, what future? This is the kid whose only goal has been to follow in Sonny’s footsteps. He may want to be free of it now, but there is no escaping the actions of your father.
Reeling from Todd knowing he accidentally killed Starr's family, Johnny (Brandon Barash) revealed what he knew about the baby switch. The two pretty much ended up in a stalemate. Who do you think will come out on top in the Todd vs. Johnny cold war?
Joe Jr. (Richard Steinmetz ) fed Trey (Erik Valdez) stories about how Sonny stole their birthright.Trey claimed he didn’t care about the money. Joe’s big plan is for Trey to marry Kristina and get his hands on the money through marriage. I could really enjoy such a story if Trey hadn't been introduced to Port Charles such a short time ago, and we'd seen more tension between him and Kristina before Joe revealed his master plan. I'm just not invested in a story featuring two new characters and a two recasts recast.
Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton) had a conversation about the troubles in their lives, which is always so much fun. I appreciate their connection.
B&B BYTES: Ridge (Ronn Moss), Taylor (Hunter Tylo) and Bill (Don Diamont) literally sat around and talked about Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope’s (Kim Matula) almost marriage. Hope and Liam still have to sign the paperwork to make it legal. That pretty much sums up how boring The Bold and the Beautiful was on Monday.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) argued, yet again, about Liam and Hope. Hope and Liam argued, yet again, about Steffy. Wash, forget to rinse and repeat. I almost wish the texting while driving storyline had been on instead.
