General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Ewen’s waiting at Wyndemere to meet his cohort and in walks Jerry Jacks, alive and kicking! Ewen reports that Robin was transferred to the Swiss hospital and Anna knows nothing. Jerry thanks him for his hard work and how Ewen’s position at the hospital helped them pull off this caper. He also praises Ewen for providing them with the corpse they used in place of Robin after the explosion. Ewen mentions Maxie blaming herself when she didn't cause the explosion. Jerry wonders if it’s better to grieve someone who’s still alive rather than lose them for real.

Jerry marvels that Ewen is now treating Patrick and Ewen says Patrick needs to move on after his loss. Ewen declares that they’re done, but Jerry wants to go over everything and make sure there are no loose ends. Then he mentions Elizabeth. Ewen admits that he likes her, which is not what Jerry wants to hear. Jerry says love makes you sloppy and no one can know they’re working together. Ewen tells him to leave Liz out of it.

Lulu finds Maxie waiting for Patrick to get back from his group counselling session. Maxie is upset that Lulu didn’t tell her what Patrick was going through. Lulu says she got distracted by what was happening with Luke and Olivia. Maxie feels bad that she couldn’t help Patrick, or bring Robin back from the dead. She hopes detox works for him. Lulu mentions her marital issues with Dante, saying things are better now. Lulu admits part of the problem had been Johnny. Maxie says Dante is perfect for Lulu and that Johnny won’t make her happy. She mentions visiting Matt once a week in prison and how he’s happy she’s looking out for his family.

Starr pays Todd a visit to talk about Johnny, angry that her father would put a camera in his office.Todd says he’s trying to protect her, but Starr wants him to accept the limits she sets. After she leaves, Todd calls Johnny to complain that he told Starr about the camera. Johnny takes on Heather’s old mantra of keep your mouth shut, or I’ll tell the world what you did to Sam’s baby.

John gets home to an empty house. He soon finds the photo of him and Sam kissing. Some messenger delivers a letter from Natalie saying goodbye and, "Hope it was worth it." John gets on the phone with Natalie and demands to know where she and Liam are. He yells some more until she hangs up. Then he finds the envelope that the picture was in, with a note from Todd.

Jason and Sam run into each other, and he asks about the safe. Sam says she’s planning on trying again later. Jason wants to discuss their marriage. Sam agrees, but when Liz walks in, Sam takes off.

Liz is sorry things are still tense between Jason and Sam. Jason changes the subject to Ewen. He says he doesn't want to mess things up for Liz. She admits she slowed things down with Ewen because of Jason, but they’ve only been on a couple of dates. Jason hopes he didn’t complicate things with the kiss. Liz says she doesn’t have a good track record with relationships, but wants that feeling again. She’s worried about bringing a man into her boys' lives. She also mentions her reservations about Ewen and the events on Spoon Island.

Dante stops by to apologize to Johnny. The cop says he respects Lulu and the club makes her happy. Johnny asks about Olivia’s condition and says he still cares for her. Dante questions why he would blackmail Olivia’s boyfriend, as Starr arrives and overhears. Starr immediately defends Johnny. Dante leaves, but not before mentioning Johnny still being a suspect in Anthony’s murder.

Starr wonders if Kate is Anthony’s killer.Dante points out that Kate was in custody that night. Johnny says his grandfather had plenty of enemies. Starr swears she would know if she was working with a killer.

When Sam gets back to the office, Todd asks her to get something from the safe. She says she doesn’t have the combination, but Todd assures her the door is already open. She finds a paper with the words “You’re Fired” on it. Todd says she broke into his safe and wants to know what she was looking for. Sam says she doesn’t know, but thinks it’s about her baby. She asks why he had the article about her baby. Todd realizes Heather was right —  Spin and Sam have been investigating him. Sam admits she was investigating Heather. Sam says she thinks Heather has something on Todd, and wants to know what that is.

Todd reminds her that he fired her and she can’t interrogate him. Sam asks why he hired her, or went to the baby’s memorial. "Why are you so obsessed with me?" she demands.

Todd says he was grieving the death of his granddaughter, and was guilty because she died while the family was travelling to get to his trial .He says Sam came to him for a job, that she was in crisis and that Sam took advantage of his compassionate nature. John walks in and declares that Todd will pay for what he did.

Hmmm...I don't recall saying that my opinion counted for anything other than just being my opinion. Take my words and twist away!

I miss the times when we didn't have CharacterFFs and ActorFFs. I just want my shows to be balanced. Good storylines, no show-hogging, no character decimations. There have been times when I loved Sam and when I hated her; same for Elizabeth. It never occurred to me to attach either of these feelings to the actresses. I also don't see why loving one should mean hating the other. When I hated Elizabeth, it had absolutely nothing to do with Sam. Actually, Sam wasn't even on the show. Then her character started returning to its true state, and I liked her again. The same is true for Sam. She annoyed me greatly in her initial storyline with Jax. I saw chemistry with her and AJ, but because TIIC hated AJ, that didn't go anywhere. I detested Sam with Sonny. Her union with Jason is what saved Sam for me. Then TIIC seemed to get mad at Kelly for her DWTS success so they destroyed Sam. Then they seemed to get mad at Rebecca just for existing so they destroyed Elizabeth. Now both characters are climbing out of the cellar. The one good thing throughout all of this is that the actresses have been troopers. Frankly, both Rebecca and Kelly should have told Frons & Co. to kiss their beautiful backsides ages ago (but of course, they and their families have to eat). Hating either of them for gamely working through so much crap just gives the real jerks--Frons, Phelps, Guza, and Pratt--a free pass and makes some fans look like junior high schoolers.

Passive aggressive hate. Jasam bombed. Frons is gone. So now Becky can't compare to other D list actors . So transparent. People like that contribute to the KM hate.

Monday's ep was such a funny show. Loved seeing Todd blast the smug and eternally inferior McCoward for cheating on Natalie. I can't believe John actually had the nerve to accuse Todd of writing a letter full of lies to Natalie. Todd's letter was no more than 2-3 sentences.

Hey Sam, did you notice that John reacted the same as Jason - he resorted to violence to express anger? Why are you acting like John had done nothing wrong? There was a reason why Natalie left him - it had to do with John's tongue being down your throat. I'm sure Natalie felt it had no business being there.

I admit to booing when Todd blasted John and then excused Sam of her part in contributing to Natalie's pain. I do give him a pass though cause he did finally fire Sam as his assistant. YAY!

As predicted, Liz did share her memories of Ewen's rescue of her and his hiding of his true identity when she was at Shadybrooke. Of course, Jason would find this to be peculiar. I recall Matt did too. Liz too. However, she also noted she's been watching Ewen and has seen him to be a kind, gentle, caring man. She believes his explanations. Alas, she's going to be so disappointed when she learns of Ewen's secrets.

The newest little Aiden is adorable. BH's maternal instincts shines through Liz so naturally. Loved the way little Aiden turned into his mother's body immediately after recovering from his choking bout. Additionally, the chopped up banana and Liz's assistance with the silverware Aiden was using was very realistic. Also, nice work by Becky when Liz voice tightened as she noted how she wanted her children to have the chance to grow up and live their lives.

Loving Jerry's return. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem in the best of health. Still trying to figure out why he wants Robin and why he hates so many of the citizens of Port Charles. Also, what does he have over Ewen that would have caused him to do Jerry's bidding?

I'm not a fan of the latest Kristina. Today, the actress did a nice job of connecting with Alexis. I actually watched all their scenes. Good mother/daughter bonding material. It's been awhile since these two have actually listened to one another.

Starr is the perfect person to advise Trey on what to do with his father. She's an expert on father who lie to their children only to end up in jail.

Liason NOP won the Gold Medal on tonight's Soapnet Olympics! Woo Hoo.

Liason are so freaking pretty. Sigh.

Yowzer. It was great to see Jason Morgan in enforcer mode with Ewen versus making those icky pukka necklaces with Sam. Hear me roar, I am Jason Morgan!

Jerry Jacks and his evilness is a trip. I can not wait to see what kind of hell this man is going to rain down on Port Charles.

Ewen Keenan is smoking hot. Damn. I love a man with an accent. Tongue

Todd had me LMAO while he lay on the floor with the telephone getting ready to once again put the screws to John. It reminded me how much I loved OLTL scenes of Victor Jr. and McPoop on their road trip to grab Marcy when she ran off with Tommy aka Sam Manning Lord.

The scenes with Alexis/Krissy were very good today.

Yes, Starr knows very well what it's like to have a crazy butt father who ends up with both of them getting into trouble. Starr/Trey have very good chemistry.

Liason were so pretty and relaxed today. I loved seeing Jason smile and the two of them were flirting up a storm. I also really liked that moment when Jason talked through the mouth full of coffee. It was so realistic and cute.

Loved, loved, loved badass Jerry. He is one of the best love-to-hate characters ever.

I still can't warm up to Starr.

I'm warming up to Todd against my will. I don't want to like a rapist, but since it happened on another show, maybe I can pretend it never happened?

js3557,,,RoHo refuses to allow Todd to be considered a romantic lead because of the rape s/l from OLTL. Todd and his twin brother Victor have each done a lot of horrible things, but OLTL always made sure that fans never forgot their past misdeeds unlike what was done by GH when it came to Sam.

liason4real - Thanks! That's good to know. I have never been able to come to terms with the romanticizing of rape that is done on soaps. I have never been a fan of Luke on Gh or Jack on DOOL because of this.
