HomeTVDays of Our LivesEXCLUSIVE: The L.A. Complex Vixen Krista Allen Looks Back on Time as Days of Our Lives’ Billie Reed Jamey Giddens August 7, 2012 2 Comments I recently caught up with hella sexy Krista Allen to dish her stint on The CW's summer sudser The L.A. Complex, for our sister site Pop Confidential. Head on over to PC to find out about her role as Jennifer Bell—an A-list actress with an agenda—on the Canadian import. Before you do, here's a snippet of the chat, where I asked Allen about her time as Billie Reed 2.0 on NBC's Days of Our Lives! PC: You aren't exactly a stranger to acting out soapy scenarios on television, having played the role of heroin addict-turned-cosmetics-queen-turned-operative Billie Reed on NBC's Days of Our Lives from 1996-99. What's the biggest difference between doing a daytime soap and a nighttime one? KA: Daytime is very hectic. We would shoot an episode, sometimes more, a day. There were multiple cameras, and we plowed through the scenes. Nighttime is single camera with lots of set ups for each shot, close-ups, master, over the shoulder, and it's much more methodical and technical. PC: Do you still keep in touch with any of your old DAYS cast mates? KA: I still speak with Billie's big brother, Austin, who was played by Austin Peck. I did a pilot TV show for Comedy Central with Jack (Mark Valley), that didn't get picked up, and an episode of CSI with him too. And I see a lot of familiar, happy faces from the show randomly. To find out what Allen said when I asked if she was open to returning to daytime, visit Pop Confidential! Follow Krista Allen on Twitter @KristaAllenXO. The L.A. Complex airs at 9/8c on The CW. The stillbirth of Georgia was particularly poignant. I never felt that Lisa Rinna was that interesting, and while Julie Pinson is a good actress, Billie the character has never been written consistently, and the nonsense with Georgia as Chelsea was stupid. KA is my fav Billie of the three. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
