Y&R BYTES: Sharon (Sharon Case) held a live press conference at the Newman ranch asserting her authority at Newman Enterprises. Meanwhile, Kyle (Blake Hood) and Eden (Jessica Heap) were out at the pool. After the reporter left the ranch, Kyle and Eden burst into the house. Sharon went off on Kyle for his behavior and how he could have ruined the interview. The two got into a big fight and at one point Kyle told her what he really thought of her.
Kyle to Sharon: “The only degree that you have is an MRS.”
Sharon: “Well my MRS. entitles me to my position at Newman and this house and I’ll run them how I see fit.”
Sharon left the Newman ranch and showed up at Gloworm. She overheard Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) tell Adam (Michael Muhney) he was going to be a father. When she returned to the ranch she ripped it apart in anger, tearing down curtains, throwing lamps and messing up the place.
After getting dumped on by Adam for not getting Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) on board with their Internet startup, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) called in the favor she owed him for helping move the doctor’s body.
Genevieve (Genie Francis) continued her search for Victor (Eric Braeden) and almost stumbled upon him. Unfortunately, he snuck away before she could spot him. I have to wonder if this is the type of "empowering" storyline Francis envisioned when she joined The Young and the Restless?
DAYS BYTES: Brady (Eric Martsolf) tried convincing Marlena (Deidre Hall) that he was handling Madison’s (Sarah Brown) death, but she saw through his claim. Later, Brady bumped into Nicole (Arianne Zucker), who hadn’t heard Madison was dead. Nicole followed Brady to the Kiriakis mansion, where Daniel (Shawn Christian) arrived to help his friend.
Will (Chandler Massey) and Gabi (Camila Banus) fell into bed in what has to be one of the most stupid plot twists DAYS has done in a while — which is saying a lot. The new DAYS regime is systematically undoing the single best storyline of the last nine months. There is absolutely no reason why Will and Gabi needed to end up in bed together.
Sonny (Freddie Smith) got his ass kicked by “T” and was discovered by his dad Justin (Wally Kurth) knocked out on the floor. When Justin asked what happened, Sonny said he tripped. Justin asked if it was a hate crime. Sonny said it was personal and he'd take care of it. Let me get this straight, Sonny chewed out Will for not embracing who he is as a gay man, but he won't report his attacker to the police? DAYS' gay storyline is unraveling at the seems, zipper and buttons.
EJ (James Scott) found Sami (Alison Sweeney) with Rafe (Galen Gering) and revealed that Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) is in fact alive. Rafe refused to believe EJ’s story. Later cops arrived and confirmed EJ’s story.
Kate (Lauren Koslow) rushed to the hospital and demanded to see Stefano. Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) said The Phoenix didn't want to see her.
GH BYTES: Carly (Laura Wright) looked surprised to see Jax (Ingo Rademacher) at their daughter’s hospital room. Carly told her husband she didn’t know what the connection between Josslyn and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was. He replied that he is the connection. It's fantastic to have Rademacher back.
Michael (Chad Duell) and Starr (Kristen Alderson) arrived at her apartment to find it being guarded by one of Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) bodyguards. Inside, they found the apartment empty. Kristina (Lindsey Morgan) and Trey (Erik Valdez) had snuck out a window. Later, they discovered a copy of an airline ticket stub on a computer.
Tracy (Jane Elliot) literally bumped into Joe Jr. (Richard Steinmetz) in a hall at Metro Court. She accidently spilled the soup on him intended for Luke. They shared a cute moment, before he walked away and Luke (Anthony Geary) appeared. Luke noticed how distracted Tracy was by Joe Jr., and asked her to come into his room.
I’m actually starting to enjoy Joe Jr. now that he’s out of prison.
Sonny and Jason (Steve Burton) spent a lot of time talking about Joe Jr. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) arrived with news about Ewen (Nathin Butler).
Spinelli: “Ewen put himself through college and the University of Sydney Medical School sheering sheep. You know, feeding them, pasturing them and bringing the fluffy little lambs into the world.”
Sonny: “Mary also had a little lamb. Get on with it!”
Speaking of Ewen, the Aussie bad boy was at Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) sharing a glass of wine with his beloved. They talked about Jason’s dislike for Ewen. Elizabeth revealed she thought Ewen was as much of a target as Alexis and Josslyn. He wanted to have sex with her, but she kept telling him she wasn’t ready. When she pulled away, he immediately jumped to the conclusion her reluctance might have something to do with Jason.
B&B BYTES: The Bold and the Beautiful opened with Hope (Kim Matula) still confronting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about whether-or-not something happened between Steffy and Liam (Scott Clifton) the night before the aborted wedding.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) waxed long about what a relationship failure Liam is. Same story, umpteenth verse. Sing it over and over and it only gets worse.
Rick (Jacob Young) and Thomas (Adam Gregory) worked out shirtless on the rooftop of Forrester Creations. Yet miraculously, neither appeared to sweat. Must not have been a very good work out.
Brooke then arrived at Steffy’s office where she blamed the whole mess on her daughter’s rival once again.
Steffy to Brooke: “They [Liam and Hope] are miserable. They really are. She lets him down. He lets her down. It’s destructive. It’s pointless and one person in the world who thinks it’s healthy is you.”
