A Tale of Two Blonde, Gun-Wielding Hunks and Liz Webber on General Hospital

Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is one lucky nurse on today's episode of General Hospital. She's got two hunky blondes—one with an accent—whipping out their big, ol' guns to fight to the death over her!

Methinks Liz should do a little kiss-kiss with both Ewen (Nathin Butler) and Jason (Steve Burton) before anybody goes bang-bang. Heck, she deserves it after being stuck between Laura's (Genie Francis) drippy sons! Watch a promo for today's General Hospital below.

I love Todd also…and you know what…we aren’t really supposed to love him. He is not that nice of a character, as he is a murdering manipulating rapist….So you would think he would not top anyone’s list as a favorite soap character…but he is also at the top of mine…. LOL. I think it is because he shows remorse and guilt when he is being bad. It is almost like he can’t help it…and you want to try and help him get out of the mess he has gotten into…It also doesn’t hurt that his one liners are hysterical, and he seems to have chemistry with everyone. I think he has been a great addition to GH.

RC has a habit of pushing a character too far (OLTL’s Marty) and now Ewen, in the cray cray department. I’ve read a few comments at other sites that thought Ewen could have easily been written as a WSB Agent working deep undercover.

I agree about Laura’s drippy sons! Here’s hoping that Liz never has to share screen time with Lucky or Nicholas ever again!

Argh. This plot point is contrived and silly, missing the emotional beats because Liz and Ewen’s relationship was barely onscreen, in the “getting to know you” stage AND never consummated! Had RC threaded an actual story for Liz and a character for Ewen, I could be invested. They are so pretty together!

I am so over this empty, silly story revisiting the awful, silly story of “The Dead Man’s Hand.” Ewen being involved with The Jaxs’ with a paper-thin reason surrounding charmed playing cards is lame. Why would Ewen kill a man ALREADY on his death bed??? Ewen had potential and is being botched. I have a feeling he is going to be “redeemed” ala OLTL’s Robert Ford who had raped a mentally-ill Jessica Buchanan.

Didn’t one of this show’s most popular plots ever revolve around a diamond that could freeze the world?

Big fat bore with Lizzie being the victim once again and having men come to her rescue. Wow, what a change. I found the duct tape around her wrists hilarious. Did they stop at Target to pick up a roll? Once again, she is fast forward worthy.

Well, I wasn’t watching back then…and I never complained about the Water-Pathogen s/l, only how poorly character and story has been threaded for Ewen. I find Ewen’s motivation poorly described and an “afterthought” because he was placed on the canvas and THEN a story was described months later. And why exactly could there not have been any build-up of the Ewen/Liz relationship?

The difference between outlandish stories and poor stories is that an outlandish story asks it’s audience to suspend belief and a poor story asks it’s audience to suspend thought.

Jamey: Before you come for me for voicing my opinion be clear about what’s being discussed.

@Jamey Giddens: I was very young very very young and watching. I thought it was silly but my sister loved it. I was never in to the as you guys say on the podcast “pew pew pew…” type of tales in daytime. But hey, millions more were then.

But I don’t see this working in today’s era. I have been James E. Reilly’d out.

But then again if B&B can rise in the ratings by just show 3 characters day in and day out fighting overhand shakes and kisses than maybe we all got it wrong…

Oh please god, let Jason shoot Liz dead! Please Please Please! I just dont get how this is such a beloved character, to me there is nothing endearing about her. Either kill her off or give her a major personality change.

I agree with the above quote. Liz and Ewen never were in a relationship. Man, Liz has a poor track record with men. I dont think Ewen can be redeemed. Even if he is, its going to have to be a hell of a reason. Btw, probably no one cares about this but in pro wrestling right now, TNA wrestling, to be exact, they actually have a storyline based upon “The Dead Man’s Hand.” Small world, I guess.
