According to Deadline, executive producer Lisa Kridos is leaving the program. Kridos will reportedly go to work at distributor Twentieth Television as a programming and development producer. Gail Steinberg—showrunner for the original Ricki Lake— has taken over. “Gail will usher in a fresh perspective bringing in an added relevancy, fun and energy to each episode, while showcasing compelling viewpoints to the female focused topics that remain at the core of the new Ricki Lake Show,” Twentieth EVP Programming and Development Stephen Brown said. I don’t know whether Ricki has a one- or two-year deal, but I think it’s in big trouble. Anderson has a two-year deal, which is the only reason we’re still watching him today.
