I'm waiting for a writer's change announcement. I CAN'T with the current storylines and reading the spoilers from this morning, don't care about what's coming up. Don't know if Kristen's return and Will/Sonny is enough to keep me watching.

Corday & TomSell have destroyed this show.

I couldn't agree more, bonobochick! Paint watches DOOL dry! All the current stories suck. Even Will & Sonny whom I actually like could be better. I hope Eileen Davidson's Kristen adds some interest.

In about nine months, they won't be doing ANY filming ANYWHERE unless they do something to drastically improve their storytelling.

I know some people are still enjoying the show, but there are fewer and fewer of those people all the time. The ratings don't lie.

With TomSell, what you see is what you get. There's no mystery nor subtlety. All the "surprises" and "twists" are so obviously telegraphed months in advance.

It's all a big irritating yawn.

And I agree, Soap Armageddon, that while there are some people enjoying the show currently, it seems like more and more people are NOT if the constantly declining ratings are anything to go by.

That studio in Glendale is a dump. Bad karma there!

The overall stories aren't very good. I'm just waiting for Corday to announce yet another HW team and saying things along the lines of: "You won't want to miss a day. Days is going to tbe best like you remember."...crap like that he says everytime he installs a new team.
Please...

I don't agree. I think Days is actually getting back to the way it was 10 years ago when things moved a little slower, ie. people didn't just jump into bed with one another right away and decisions were made by consulting ones family. I actually love the family momemts these days, the slow burn between Sami and Rafe, Will and Sonny is great! And I'm not even a Sami/Rafe fan. I do agree that they need to clean up some loose ends, like what happens to Lucas now, where is Kate going to go, fix this Nicole story etc.
But the new writers can only do so much within the limited amount of time that they have been writing for the show. I'm optomistic that things are looking up for Days.

They could be taping at Acme Looniversity for all I give a damn. We need new writers & a closer tape schedule.

I agree with most of the posts here, The show is on its way out if Tomlin and Whitesell keep trying to make us care about Rafe, Chad, Daniel, and Gabi. They have effectively put the show back to the place where it was when it was in danger of cancellation, telling the EXACT same stories. All they need now is dumbass Philip and Chloe back to make the suckage complete. Once this happens, I am officially out with this show. Not even Eileen Davidson's Kristen, or Sonny/Adrienne/Justin can make me stay.

The show is not moving because it's likely on its way out. It probably isn't worth it to move to a bigger studio if the show is just going to end soon.

@everyone: A little birdie who I know who works for NBC Universal informed me that Days is going to be secure for at least 2 years. That is what he has learned. After the ABC double soap fiasco even the Peacock network is being cautious about its lone bath cleaner.

Yeah, I gotta say I'm enjoying it too for the most part. It's not rocket science and yes everything is telegraphed from thirty miles away but there's just something comfortable about it that I like. Granted, I'm still no fan of Daniel and because they have both Jenn and Nicole in his orbit I'm not loving them right now either but I like that the vets seem to be more organically integrated into story, even if it is in support, and I actually am liking alot of the younger cast(Sonny, Will, Gabi, Nick and even Abigail though the latter needs something to do other than pine over Leno, Jr.).

ChrisGa-I've agreed with you before about Days, and I do so again.Yes,the flashbacks are alittle redundant, but overall,I'm liking Days.I like the slow build up of Caroline's story. The small forgetting of things and people being witnessed by different people.I think WilSon's story is sweet. Not everything has to be rushed.I watched an old clip of Tom and Alice that ran for 6 minutes, and all they did was talk about family members over breakfast. It was so good.

Next week,I'm thinking things will pick up with Stefano returning. Then,Eilleen coming back the end of the week.Anyway,I'm sticking around.

As a side note, what does bother me are the commercial breaks, and the use of the same commercial more than once.On the other soaps, you almost know when the commercials are coming, and there are only 3 breaks every half hour. But,I guess this is a small price to pay if it keeps Days on the air.
