So Long Newman; Hello Abbott Enterprises on Young and Restless?

The Genoa City trial of the century–you know the one where Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is on trial for running down Cricket (Lauralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson)– was in full swing. However, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) wasn’t getting the answers out of Kevin (Greg Rikaart) he’d hoped.  Michael’s frustration grew as Kevin danced around his questions like an elephant in a tutu. Fortunately for Kevin, the judge started having trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital. A new judge took over and promptly dismissed the case.

Victor warned Nick and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) they needed to start ramping up their defenses at Newman Enterprises, because Jack (Peter Bergman) was coming for them. After acquiring Adam’s (Michael Muhney) Newman shares, Jack arrived at Victor’s office and quickly revealed he was well on his way to changing the name out front to Abbott Enterprises.  I love corporate power struggles on soaps. I’m going to sit back and enjoy this one, even if it is a bit repetitive.

At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) house, Noah (Robert Adamson) told his mother he was moving out due to her latest actions involving Victor (Eric Braeden) and Tucker (Stephen Nichols).

The episode ended with an upset Summer (Lindsay Bushman) swerving into the path of an oncoming car carrying Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan).

I loved Y&R today! The Victor\Jack will be a fun ride with a real soap writer. Phyllis's trial was wham bam thank you mame! But I think Josh is going to continue this in a way fans would like to see Phyllis pay for her sins. There could be a backstory on the judges and who paid them off. Victor will be the likely suspect but I don't think it is Victor. Get Ready, Set Go...Josh Griffin. Maybe Phyllis won't do jail time but I will be pleased if the price of crimes will hang over Phyllis for along time. I've been waiting for this change of guard for years and I can't be happier. I'm just giddy! Wink Love

AGAIN, a lazy ending to a story that has dominated the story on this show for a good 3-4 months ONLY to have a HUGE primetime comedy star get up on the stand and declare a mistrial. HONESTLY, this is why I am tired of watching soaps ESPECIALLY since now this gives Phyllis the opportunity to go around claiming she is good and everyone else is bad.

Very close to ending my viewing of this show.

Then we have the Newman take over and Jack has to go and brag which is always his case and then we will see him lose it all AND he won't have anyone around. AGAIN, this is just not the show I want to watch OR the idea of great drama.

SOOOOO much closer to ending the watch of this show.

I predict Phyllis will "pay" in the end - not for the stuff she has already done, but for the loss of the Newman baby.....

let's not forget, it hasn't been that long since Phyllis lost Nick's kid.

I know you are gonna smack yourself when you find out....

it's DANIEL GODDARD!!!

He tweeted it one day and some news sources picked up on it, and said, basically, he was a male whore who liked showing off his body.

I am surprised at you, alstonboy, that you didn't know that!!! Smile

I cannot believe that my daughter and her friends are ga-ga over that Goddard guy. What a sicko perv to tweet young girls a pic of yourself like that. I like Cane, but DG I can do without.

Is DG gay? I've heard rumors...

I doubt DG is gay, he is a family man.

He may be a douche, but he is easy on the eyes.

I went kind of nuts those few days when his hair was styled differently on Y&R and it didn't look like it had enough hair gel in it.

DG has fans of all ages, so I am sure that photo went to a lot of people.

Must be a REASON why he was brought back from the dead, eh?

Of course the judge dropped the case - you will all find out why on Monday's "Y & R".

It's something I've been saying all along......

I LOVED it when the judge handed Christine her dignity in a barf bag....she has always thought she was hot stuff. And the ending of the trial angered me, too, but it DID make sense when you know why. I just can't believe that Michael didn't bother to do any digging AND that he had the nerve to blame Christine for his own sloppy (lack of) work.

I'm sorry, but I think Christine had every right to pursue that case even if it was 20 years old. She (and Paul) deserve to see justice. Michael mishandled the case (subconsciously) because he really didn't want to see his dear and loyal friend convicted. But he certainly didn't have any problem threatening his brother with disturbing scenarios. He deserved being told off by Kevin. Phyllis is a selfish self centred user who will stop at nothing in her various quests. She's guilty, everyone knows it and she should pay. I'm sick of the protection she's given and expects.

I also don't think this is over and it will be interesting to to see why the original judge took ill and who influenced the new one to use the tactic he did.
