Todd can't believe Carly would entertain the idea he switched Sam and Tea's babies.  Carly needs to know the truth and asks him not to lie.  Todd begins to tell her how hard Tea took the news, when John joins them. Carly informs John she and Todd are having a private conversation, but John could care less. John wonders why Carly is so hostile towards him, and admits it's because of his relationship with Sam.

Todd says he gave the unresponsive baby to Heather, and she gave him back a healthy one.  John thinks he’s still lying.  Carly doesn't completely believe him either. She dares him to swear on Starr’s life he’s telling the truth.

Starr returns home and Joe Jr. points a gun at her. Then, he orders Michael to hang up on Dante. Joe says he’s going to leave with Starr, since she’s his insurance now.  Trey begs his father to let Starr go and turn himself in to the cops. He pleads with Joe to prove he’s the good man who raised him. Dante can feel something isn't right and heads over there.

Bernie leaves an urgent voice message for Jason to meet him on the pier. Then, he reminisces about the night back in December when he was shot in Sonny’s office in place of Jason.  In the flashback, Duke paid Bernie visit before his surgery. He threatened to harm Bernie's family if he didn’t transfer Sonny’s money into Kristina’s account.

Jason, Sam and Danny go home for the first time.  Sam worries the crib hasn’t been delivered yet, but Jason assures her he has a portable one. They’re happy to be one big family.  Sam’s happy they’re back to the way they were supposed to be.  They put Danny to bed, and then steam up their own he sheets. The two declare their love for each other.  The baby starts to cry, so Sam gets him while Jason puts his wedding ring back on.  He puts Sam’s ring back on her finger, and she declares to never remove it again.  Sam takes a picture of their family.

Duke wants to make love to Anna, but Anna stops him before things go too far. However, Duke does some sweet-talking and Anna falls back into his arms. Luke walks in on the two passionately kissing.   Luke can’t believe Anna is prepared to be with Duke again. He thinks Duke should prove his identity by having a DNA test. Duke vehemently refuses.

Duke says Anna knows who he is, which is good enough for him.  Anna accuses Luke of being an investigator, but Luke says someone needs to be. He proceeds to pull a hair off of Duke’s head.  Duke’s angry, but tells Anna they’ll pick up where they left off when he returns.  Luke wants to know if Duke is a fraud.

Lulu sees Dr May, who tells her she needs to be patient about getting pregnant. The doctor mentions Dante getting his sperm count checked, which surprises Lulu.  Dr May offers to run a few more tests, which Lulu initially declines. However, she changes her mind at the last minute and takes the tests. Later on, the doctor tells Lulu fertility is not the issue.

Dante arrives at Trey’s, and is informed of Joe Jr.'s latest actions. Trey tells Dante his father isn’t working alone, and everything has been someone else’s idea. He's unsure of his father's accomplice, but knows this person is dangerous. Michael worries the mystery person is after Sonny.  Trey knows nothing of his father’s mob life, and Dante tells him to let him know if he remembers anything.  Dante gets a call to meet Lulu at the hospital.

Diane arrives and declares herself Todd’s new lawyer, which surprises Carly.  Diane says there is no evidence of kidnapping or fraud and orders Todd to be released.  John warns Carly she’s been snowed.

Carly tells Todd she needs to hear him swear to the truth. He swears on Starr’s life he had nothing to do with the baby switch.

Sam and Jason listen to Bernie’s urgent message and Sam tells him to go see what’s wrong with him. He doesn’t want to leave on her first night back. Sam reassures him it's okay, but wants him to be careful.  After Jason leaves, John shows up at her door.

Lulu tells Dante she can’t have a baby.

Joe finds Bernie on the pier and pulls a gun on him. Bernie warns Joe that if anything happens to him, Sonny will have his head on a platter. Joe says he’s more worried about what Duke will do and shoots Bernie.  Before Joe gets off his second shot, Jason shows up and shoots Joe.  Bernie tries to tell Jason about the money, but Duke shoots Jason in the back.

Jason certainly can't be dead yet. He'll make it to the hospital for some dramatic final scenes with Sam and Monica and probably Carly.

This is harder than I thought it would be. I'm a huge fan of Steve Burton (hence the screen name), he was the reason I started watching and I WILL miss him on the show.

I wonder if he was playing bargaining games in his negotiations. They called his bluff and recast Jason.

I don't think so. I think he sincerely wants to have a life outside of this insanity of soapdom. I don't blame him one bit.

I will Miss Steve Burton. He was such a HUGE part of the show. I like how RC was writing Jason so much better then Guza. The last few years, yes, I did get tired of Jason, Sonny and all things Mob because they were on EVERY day and it was the same story over and over. With RC, the characters seem so show more heart and feeling.
Carly looked extra beautiful talking with Todd. His face lights up when he sees her. I guess he will be her new BBF with Jason gone. But wait till she finds out what Todd is capable of. Am curious to see how AJ is involved in all this.

There is no one that I would miss more than Steve Burton, but maybe Sean Kanaan would be a good recast since I don't see him playing AJ as the wuss that he was when Billy Warlock played him. So something is going to be different. I heard that Monica will be making some phone calls next week, I guess she is calling AJ to tell him that it is safe for him to come home now. It will be interesting to see how Michae reacts to him and you know that Sonny still hates him.

How anybody can be a GH fan and not like Jason is beyond me. That aside, yes Duke did have a gun. I can't wait till Sonny shoots him through the head and stomps on him too. Joe Jr, may not be dead, but I think he probably is. He didn't shoot Jason.

Count me among those who will miss Steve Burton. Guzman and Co. pracially ruined the character of Jason by making him a robotic prop for Sonny. As much as I will miss Jason I am glad that Sonny will finally be oft vulnerable and exposed as the toothless tiger with a napolean complex that he really is. I had hoped that Sean Kanan was coming as a Jason recast but I guess he will come back as AJ, which seems wrong to me Since I loved Billy Warlock as AJ.
,
I don't want evil dark Duke. I looked at Duke v. Luke and for me it's no contest. Duke has swagger, history and mad chemistry wth Finola Hughes. I think that now that they killed off Joe Jr. Tracy and Luke will reunite.

I wonder if. Jason's death will be what kills Edward??

Yes, SBu's character was ruined back in Mexico and there were brief signs that RC was fixing Jason Morgan then the 180 degree turn six weeks ago has once again given us "pod" Jason.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ITA I used to love Jason M, but since he's been swallowed up by the "sam show", I could barely stand what the writers have done to his character. I thought we were finally getting some movement away from that story--until the 180. I wish Steve B. the best, but I think he got out "while the gettin' was good"--before tiic could ruin his character even further, imo.
I would love to see Jake found alive for Elizabeth's sake--(I also wonder if we will ever see Rebecca Herbst on screen again with ANY airtime or a s/l at this point, since there is no more jasam to prop.
The irony would be that Jason has two sons & he is no longer there to be a part of their lives. It would be like reliving AJ & Jason all over again. But, I am sure this is all wishful thinking, since the writers can't or won't do anything THAT creative except recycle old OLTL scripts & s/l's. JMHO
I have never been a Jason Morgan / Jasam / Liason fan but with Jason leaving, I am closing the door on a big part of my GH history as the couple Jason Q /Robin remains one of my favorite couples ever.
After 30 years of watching religiously GH, I am slowly but surely losing all interest and I started FF some parts of the show which I had never done before.
I have never been a OLTL fan even if I watched when I was home and I always hated Todd (although I tolerated him when he was played by the great Trevor Saint John). Since Cartini took over, I have seen Todd and John take the first place (illustrated by the monthly episode count) and I have seen my favorite male character Johnny being consistently ruined and my favorite female character Alexis now thrown into a mercenary's arms with almost no history on the show (and no chemistry with my beloved Alexis). At least I got a little Jexis which was nice but I am still longing for the return of Rick and for some Rexis loving! As for Johnny, they better find something to explain how Johnny became his evil twin... Just shows to me that they don't care about the history of the GH characters... And what's happening with Duke is unbelievable (except if it's Faison who morphed himself into Duke?)...
I am also very disappointed by the Lulu thing.
It would have been so much more interesting to get Dante as the sterile one to see how this chauvinistic moron who finds it totally OK to get his mom doing his laudry and his wife on her knees cleaning his fridge would deal with the news that his almighty self cannot father a child. For once I could have been interested by anything related to Dante. The son of Sperminator unable to have any child. Masculine sterility... That could have been something worth watching.
But NO NO NO. Of course it has to be Lulu who cannot give birth and they better not link this with her abortion because if they dare going there, this time I will be done (you cannot support such an irresponsible message). So let's give Cartini the benefit of the doubt but I am really hanging by a thread lately... Sad
While I applaud the fact that Lulu and Dante are dealing with trying to have a child instead of regretting a pregnancy, I hope they don't blame Lulu's abortion. Soaps always have unplanned pregnancies and who is the daddy stories. I like seeing a couple seek out a child after marriage and having to deal with the why nots. It would be interesting if it was Dante's issue. They had Sam dealing with wanting a child but ended up making that a who is the daddy rape story. I would much rather see Lulu and Dante handle the situation like adults for fans who could possibly be in a similar siruation.
@edenpark, I agree 100% as well, if they go there with Lulu I will seriously consider giving up on this show.
I have the feeling, rightly or wrongly, that L's ability/inability to have children will have the abortion be a "red herring" as a set up for her inability to have a child. That it is cruel, if that's how it plays out, goes without saying. (Much as Sam's rape/Jason/Franco is the father.) With all of the "intrigue" being set up as it relates to Luke (with Duke and Anna) and the bully (with Duke and mob territory) who's to say that Helena, with her never ending vendetta against Luke and Laura, hasn't had a hand in putting Dr. V in L & D's path as a way to extract revenge on everything Spencer? The possibility of D being sterile would also be an interesting wrinkle in the equation as regards this story. What I am sure of, (and this is me speaking from the heart as regards my love for my favorite couple), is that L and D will be resilient and stand strong in the face of heartbreak, frustration and coming to terms with the devastation of this trial. JMB and DZ will approach and deliver what I am certain will be searing and stellar performances. Where I am concerned is whether the medical aspects of infertility, sterility and the like are handled with care, sensitivity, intelligence and a good deal of correctness as regards this subject that has touched society as a whole. I would also hope that any references to male sterility wouldn't be used as an excuse for amusement or mockery at the expense of either L or D. Too many couples on both sides of the question have suffered enough without having it thrown up as a joke to be exploited. I am not one to judge anyone's choices as to the "faith and belief" aspects of this story as I would not presume to know anyone's history. That's not my business and that is for every individual to wrestle with on their own. My fervent wish for this story is that it takes me on a journey that makes me think, and cry and ultimately rejoice in the talents of the two wonderful people who bring my L and D to life. Repeating myself as before, we love who we love... Innocent
Gord-Today was an episode where I really wish I didn't have to go and teach my kids this evening. I know L and D are a fictional pair but I'm a mess right now in terms of relief and sorrow. (to say nothing of how JMB and DZ handled the material. Subtle and heartbreaking for me.)) Ridiculous, I know. And when she mentioned a litle boy in a Buffalo Bills onesie, that just sealed it. If I wasn't gone, that did it. (And for the record, my Bills lost by a single, freakin' point yesterday! I am not a happy camper about that! Stare )
Thanks for the "pep talk", darlin'! Smiling at you... Innocent
Unfortunately, I was having one of my obsessive days, so I was taken out of many of the moments by all the bad grammar on today's show. I lost it when this happened in a ten-second span:
SAM (to John): You helped my son and I...
JOHN (to Sam): We don't need to talk about you and I...
ME (screaming at the TV): It's, 'YOU AND ME', you IDIOTS!!!!
I curse the people who taught me grammar. I wish I could just relax and enjoy the damn show! LOL!
I watched this show long before Jason showed up and I saw how he evolved to dominate the show along with Carly and Sonny then Micheal while I applaud Steve Burton for his twenty yr stint in spite of his popularity with many fans.
I am tired (especially of this rendition of Jason Morgan) character that has plagued this show first with Guza's worship/obsession then Frons leeching then insisting that he props his "it" girl by being paired with the same character that has long reached their expiration date while every character has to pay homage to the alter of Jason Morgan.
Steve looks almost comatose in many of his scenes especially over the last four years he seems bored with the role and its direction so I look forward to see him in his new endeavors/projects.
I checked the episode counts for the month and year at Soap Opera Network and Roger Howarth, who I admittedly love, and Michael Easton, who I dont are at about half of MB, the leader in episodes and maybe that's too many for some but Cartini are showing a restraint that Guza didnt when it came to DZ, who I really liked at first but was simply worn down by his airhoggery. I still like actor and character but it was a test. My point, and I really do have one, it's similar to Swan's: we like/love who we like/love.
