Stephanie and Thorne Reminisce on The Bold and the Beautiful

Stephanie (Susan Flannery) continued to reveal the truth about her cancer’s return to her loved ones. Stephanie gave Thorne (Winsor Harmon) a touching letter containing her news. She also brought mementos from his childhood and his time at Forrester. I teared up when Stephanie told Thorne how proud she was of the man he’d become.

The flashbacks scenes of Stephanie, Thorne, Brooke and Darla (Schae Harrison) were oh so enjoyable. The Bold and the Beautiful promised to honor Stephanie and the volume of classic scenes is certainly doing her justice.

However, I felt like too much of Monday’s episode was spent on Rick (Jacob Young), Caroline (Lindsey Godfrey) and Thomas (Adam Gregory). For goodness sake, Stephanie freaking Forrester will soon be gone! There will be plenty of time to focus on the young adult cast’s storylines later.

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) picked up on how Thomas seemed to be overcompensating for a lack of a love life when he rushed in and out of Eric’s (John McCook) office. He was a man on the move.

Eric and Brooke talked about the party he wanted to throw for Stephanie. They also delved into Ridge’s (Ronn Moss) absence and whether he would return to be with his mother.

I've been watching Stephanie's scenes with a different person daily. I thought the day with Thorne could've been stronger. WH has never been a very strong actor, imo, and in this episode the only thing that stood out to me was his forced ugly cry. It just fell flat. Of course, SF has been very good in most of her scenes with various friends and family, except for one pet peeve I have: with everybody at the end when they hug, Stephanie is calling each man or woman either "baby girl" or "baby boy".

I tuned back in to B&B for Susan Flannery's exit storyline after tuning out over the Hope/Liam/Steffy overkill. They've been doing a beautiful job so far! Susan's episode with KKL was amazing! On another note, Brooke and Bill got some chemistry!!!

I really enjoyed the scene with Thorne and Stephanie. Especially the part in the beginning, where neither one of them said a word, they were both showing the emotion of the scene with only their eyes!

Now, that is acting!!!

You have no idea what you are talking about. WH is a very talented actor. I can remember his emotion when he felt betrayed by his father and mother and crashed his office window with a chair. I remember his powerfull scene at Macy's first funeral and I also remember a scene where he confronted his mother that he turned to Donna for love because his mother never gave him enough. Those three scenes are so powerfull, they where oustanding and actually a reason for what makes B&B so good..

Thorne is a boring character. I think there is no future for him on this show, but thats not WH fault at all. WIth the material given he outshines his scenes every time. Especially when his emotions come out. I do agree that this scene could be more powerfull. But I am glad it wasnt over the top and it actually made more sense this way.

My opinion is just as valid as yours, booze26. So yes, I do have an idea of what I'm talking about.

I absolutely loved the show and what they are doing for Stephanie's exit. I have disagree about WH, I thought he was very believable, warm and it showed how Stephanie wanted to make sure Thorne knows how much she & Eric does love him and how proud of him the kind of man and father he has become. The tears the actors were shedding was real tears and it showed. Does anyone cry pretty?

I loved this episode and I love Winsor. It has angered me for years the way they treat him on that show; frankly until Monday's episode, it seemed that the writers had forgotten about Thorne's history on the show and how he'd felt about playing second fiddle to Ridge over the years.

It makes no sense to me that Thorne didn't have an opinion to express over who ran Forrester in Ridge's absence, it should've been him! No smart business person would put a 20 year old inexperienced kid in charge of the company, it's one of BB's most pathetic storylines ever.

I was reading on a forum the other day that someone was wondering if Stephanie will change her mind about letting her shares go to Thomas when she dies, but frankly I have no faith in the writers these days to even consider this.

Sorry to be negative, I've just watched my favourite show get flushed down the toilet in the last 2 years, and, although we're getting some good episodes surrounding Stephanie's death, I suspect we'll be back to the crap in the new year.
