General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Duke eavesdrops on Dante and Anna discussing the pier shootout. Dante mentions the bullets pulled from Bernie’s body were shot by two different guns, one being Joe's. Anna speculates who else would want Bernie dead.  Anna questions Bernie moving Sonny’s assets and wonders if Jason found out and shot Bernie. Dante disputes Anna's theory.  He says Trey mentioned Joe working with someone else, and Anna feels they need to find the second shooter.  Duke makes a noise in the alley and runs away before they can catch him listening.

Luke stops by and updates Lulu on Duke passing the fingerprint test. He swears Duke is conning Anna, and vows to prove it. Lulu points out that Duke is still Anna’s husband, but Luke isn't worried because they have a good thing going. He changes the subject to Lulu’s parenthood project.

Lulu tells her father she can’t carry a child to term, and then hands him the flyers for alternatives, such as adoption.  Luke says lots of kids need love and a home. He'd be proud if she went that route.  Duke shows up looking for a job and appears surprised Luke’s daughter runs the place.  Lulu says they aren’t looking for a manager, but could use a bartender. Duke eagerly accepts the job.  Lulu tells Luke that she hired Duke to keep an eye on him.  Luke is impressed with his daughter’s deviousness.

Trey informs Sonny that he won’t be helping him with Kate.  Sonny tells him not to sacrifice his mother, but Trey doesn’t care since she dumped him in a dresser.  He says his only family was his father and Sonny killed him.  Sonny denies Trey's accusation, and tells him Joe shot Bernie and Jason.  Sonny says Kate needs treatment, but Trey has decided not to help.  Alexis tries to reason with him, saying he’ll lose his mother before he has a chance to know her.

Trey brings up Connie throwing him out, and Kate forgetting about him.  Sonny says Kate is sick and Trey is the only one who can get her into treatment.  Trey tells them they’ve wasted his time, and he needs to focus on his father’s funeral.

Carly confides in Todd that she doesn't know how to deal with Jason being dead, because he's always been there for her. She mentions Jason not being able to raise his own child. Carly wishes Danny were Jason's, because then a part of Jason would still be with them.  Diane arrives to see Todd and offers Carly her condolences, acknowledging that Jason would have done anything for her.

Starr sees Connie drooling over Michael and angrily tells her to stop touching him.  Connie says Michael enjoyed it, since he learned some things from the hooker.  Connie brings up Starr being over her ex-husband and dead baby, and Starr slaps her hard across the face.   Starr accuses Connie of murdering two people, but Connie claims she didn’t do it and is sick of taking the rap.

Michael questions Connie's defensive comment. Connie quickly backtracks saying she pulled the trigger, but Cole's bad driving sealed his and Hope's fate. Carly arrives and orders Connie to leave, but she reminds Carly that she's part owner of the hotel.  Starr says Connie will be committed, but Connie claims Johnny would never do that.  Starr blurts out that Trey can, and he's signing the papers now.

Spinelli thinks Sam wants his help in locating Jason’s remains, but she says he’s still alive and they can use their investigation skills to find him. Spin is hesitant to help Sam. She gets offended and doesn't want or need his sympathy or negativity. Spin informs her that he spent the morning diving in the harbor and there was no sign of Jason.  Sam says he likely drifted down shore, and Spin counters by pointing out the entire shoreline was checked and cleared by the Coast Guard. Sam doesn't care and knows Jason is alive.  She explains that she’s been researching the currents, and Spin agrees to help follow the clues.

Diane figures Todd knew about the switch, and Heather was holding it over his head. Todd hypothetically agrees that he knew the truth, and so does Starr. He says he was going to tell someone else, but they would hate him. Diane quickly figures out that someone is Carly. Todd mentions Carly wanting Jason to be Daniel's father, but Diane tells him Franco is the father. However, Todd confesses he knows Jason is the father and hands Diane the paternity test results.  Todd wants Diane to tell Sam the truth.

Sonny and Alexis show up at the hotel and tell Starr about Trey's refusal to sign the papers. Sonny tries to get through to Kate again, and tells Connie about Joe's death. He plays up the danger being gone, and it being safe for Kate to come out. Sonny's plea seems to be working, but Connie's phone rings and breaks the connection.

Anna finds a piece of Duke’s scarf in the alley.  She and Dante continue to look for clues when Spin and Sam appear.  Anna offers her sympathy.  Sam says she’s looking for her husband, but Anna says it’s a crime scene.  Spin reminds her they are licensed investigators and Sam asks about the second shooter.  Anna asks for the recording of Bernie’s message, so Sam heads off to get it.  Dante can see Sam is in denial, and Anna understands what she's going through.

Starr is angry at Trey for not signing the commitment papers.  She says it’s hard to see Connie everyday, knowing she killed her family.  She asks for his help in putting Connie away.  Trey still refuses to sign the papers. Starr says it’s never too late to do what’s right and understands about having a father you love hurt others.  She tells him to be his own person and do what’s right.

Duke overhears Anna and Dante talk about forensics on the scarf, so he disposes of it.  He approaches Anna and tells her that he got a job. He quickly asks about the investigation.

Michael fills in Carly about his visit to see Monica. He tells her she said AJ was his father, which displeases Carly. She reminds Michael that Jason is the person who loved and raised him.

Spinelli shows up at Todd’s door demanding the truth about Sam’s baby.

Sam returns home to find Diane staring back at her.

I'm so glad Trey told Sonny to suck it! But I know it won't last. It seems to me that Kate is the alter and Connie is the orginal. Why would Trey want Connie after she left him to die or Kate who forgot about him? AJ can't get here fast enough.

Jason just "bit the bullet", so my question is: Why the hell did the writers spend a whole EPISODE obsessing over/discussing Connie/Kate and Trey, a character who I consider to be meaningless? Whatever happened to respecting a 20+ year veteran character?

And I am sure they could have gone a WHOLE day without showing that whiny little BRAT, Starr, moaning about.......what was she moaning about again? I tuned out.......

The scenes with Monica and Michael were good, and of course, Laura Wright was spectacular in her scenes where she faced the fact that she would never see her best friend again, but everyone else seems to be treating Jason's "death" as an afterthough.

Hell, Sonny even seems more concerned with Kate/Connie than the death of his closest confidante!

I know there are probably a lot more mourning/fallout scenes to be played, but I find it lazy to see Ron dropping the ball like this!! It's like he rushes through the serious stuff to focus on characters who don't really matter.............

I am so not a Sonny fan, but I've enjoyed him these last few episodes. Neither Kate nor Connie is appealing as a person, so I'm hoping she gets locked away for a very long time.

I think Starr and Trey have been good in the last few episodes. Kristina is still too wooden, and I'm sorry KeMo has left me flat. Since she is convinced Jason is alive (and is rude to anyone who tries to comfort her) I hope they hook McBain up with someone else. Otherwise it's a waste.

why is Dante even investigating the case to begin with!?

He's Sonny Corinthos' son who was Jason & Bernie's employer!!

Huge conflict of interest. Plus it wouldn't be the first time Dante tainted evidence to help Daddy Dearest who shot him in the chest.

To me, Carly's scene with Todd left me feeling like she was taking it in stride. Her scene with Michael was much better. However, I would think that Carly would be like Sam in refusing to believe that Jason is dead. She and Sonny are mighty quick to accept his "death." Well, maybe I could see Sonny since he's a pessimist anyway, but Carly? She should be the one who is rude to everyone because she's knocking them all down to find Jason.

Duke needs to die an excruciating death as soon as possible!!! Angry

I can't wait until Anna puts the pieces together and figures out that Duke was the shooter and he's running a scam just like Luke said!!!

I love Luke and Lulu's father/daughter conversations!!! I especially loved the advice he gave her today about having children.

~**~ Luke: Adoption, huh? That's a big decision.

Lulu: We haven't made any decisions. I mean, we really even haven't had a chance to talk about much. Up until a couple days ago, I was still very focused on getting pregnant.

Luke: Well, it's a cold, old world out there, and there are a lot of kids -- broken-hearted who need love and a home. So, if you're willing to open your arms to them, I'm proud of you.

Lulu: [ Sighs ]

Luke: You're gonna make an amazing mother. ~**~

And I had to chuckle at his comment about the Haunted Star Halloween party!!

~**~ Luke: Hi, baby. So, you're having a Halloween party, huh?

Lulu: Well, this is the haunted star. I thought I should live up to its name.

Luke: [ Chuckles ]

Lulu: You think you want to come?

Luke: Oh, I don't think so. You know, right now, I am up to here with ghosts and goblins and Duke Lavery rising from the grave. ~**~

LW was wonderful in her scenes with RH, CH and CD! Her sadness and grief were quite palpable and she is a beautiful crier.

Loved Diane's scenes with RH! I'm so happy that CH is back on GH!!

Loved Starr hauling off and slapping the ish out of Connie! I really believed her in her scenes today and appreciate that she was able to express her anger and emotions without screeching like she did when she first joined GH.

I'm happy any time that NLG is on my screen!

LOVED the Sam and Spinelli scenes!!! Sam introducing Danny to his new uncle Spinelli was just adorable! And I love everyone remarking about how much Danny looks like Jason. I'm loooking forward to Sam learning that Jason really is Danny's biological father! I also loved Sam's determination to stay positive about finding Jason and not allowing any negativity to affect her or Danny. Love

As a side note (not a spoiler) I read that TPTB know what a hit the little actors are that play Daniel Morgan so they'll be sticking around! Smile

I appreciated that Anna treated Sam with kindness and respect when they went to the docks for additional information. And that she explained to Dante how he should behave when Sam brings in the recording.

I love that Sam is standing strong and taking care of herself and Danny while determined to find Jason against all odds!!! And I love that Spinelli is helping her!! Love Love

I can't wait to see what it is that Spinelli has on Todd!

Now how does one get an invitation to the Haunted Star Halloween party? Party

This episode was rather boring. I agree that the character of Sam is just falling flat. It almost seems like working so long with Steve Burton made Kelly Monaco adopt his habit of just kinda sleepwalking through scenes. I'm not seeing her bonding with her baby the way you'd think someone in her position would be doing. I know she took a break from GH to practice on DWTS. It'll be nice to get a break from seeing her for a couple weeks coming up! More Heather, Anna/Duke and the Quartermaines I say, all of whom represent the true heart and soul and rich history of General Hospital!

I had to laugh when Connie said, "why is everyone smacking me in the face today". Well gee, maybe if you weren't trying to grab everyone's family jewels, the women wouldn't be smacking you away.

I agree with everyone about the Sonny/Trey story coming so close on the heels of Jason's death. The pacing on that is pretty bad.

Love Diane's return and her chemistry with Todd.

Love Anna and Dante putting their heads together to figure this thing out.

Love the LUke/Lulu scenes. JMB and TG work so well together.

Why is Sam bringing a baby to a crime scene?

Ah Spinelli, I get the feeling Todd will wipe the floor with you.

I am anxiously awaiting AJ's appearance. It seems like Monica knew he was alive. I still wish they would bring back Alan, I loved Stuart Damon in the role, and the whole Guza/Phelps destruction of the Q Family was SO WRONG! We need the Q family back, and if I can at least see Skye and Ned back for Edward's wake, that is a big plus. Wish they could stay, but I realize the budget cuts with soaps losing ratings , etc. But , I do miss the old days when the Q's ruled the show.

Did anyone else notice that at the end of the show on Wed. Sonny was all stubble in Trey's Apartment, then clean shaven at the start of today's show, and then stubble again when he showed up at the Metro Court? I couldn't stop laughing when my wife pointed that out.

Perkie, you are way behind the latest trends where parents take their children to crime scenes so that they too can help solve the crime. Next week, baby Danny who looks like he's nine months old instead of four, will put on his own diving suit to go look for his father or he will suit up in a black t-shirt, jeans, and baby motorcycle boots to demand that his mother take him to the shooting range. Sick

According to another article here, Stuart Damon is back taping at GH. Doesn't say whether he is a ghost again or not, but we will see Alan in some capacity after Edward's death.

Bring back Alan and Emily and lets get the Q's back on our screen. (Even Ned and Skye). Wouldn't mind a Rena Sofer sighting as Lois too (if they could work that for an episode or two)....

This show is best when the Quartermaines are front and center and i know it will be hard with Edward gone, but still.....

FILL THAT HOUSE!

Hey Cartini - a part of Jason is still around and the fact that those words came out of the Mother whose kid has a kidney from his son is another small FU to Jake

We're all suppose to forget that Jake had to be killed off in order for it to be safe for Jason to have another kid. It.will.not.happen. Ever! Soap fans have long memories and we don't forget a character's death or actions done to said child by a vile woman who just became a mother.

RC/FV need to bring Jacob Martin Webber home to his mother and brothers! Big smile

Tris....You are supposed to forget that Jake ever existed now that Danny is here. TPTB want you to wipe your memory of this kid. He was only good for giving TG and JJ another Emmy reel. All I know is if they can bring back AJ and Alan... who both died on our TV screens...they can certainly bring back Jake also. Then Jason would have TWO sons on the canvas, and it would parallel AJ and Jason's history. Not to mention give Elizabeth some kind of story. I am really getting sick of her not getting any writing, and the same air hogs I could careless about dominating the show.

^^ ICAM. This week has been so dreadfully dull, I contemplated removing GH from my DVR! I have to agree about Kelly Monaco's performances but it has been this way for much of her run. The times I have enjoyed her performances were when she played Sam as a bad girl from '06-'07. Heroine does not suit her. On that note, I think "wounded heroine" fits Laura wright's acting strengths but Carly Jax should be a bad girl with an edge. I wish the writers would write to the actresses strengths!

And I agree with the other posters regarding Jake.

TPTB now, are not trying to erase Jake. Cartini has actually mentioned him, which is more than Guza did after they wrapped his story.

They aren't talking about him, because Liz is a selfish little twit. She is so focused on the fact that SHE lost him, that she hasn't mentioned or thought of the fact that if he is dead (which we all know isn't true) then he is with Jake in Heaven. She will come to that realization when she runs into Monica at the "funeral", and she points it out to a broken up Liz playing like the widow since Sam won't participate.

Shouldn't someone call CPS on Sam? Liz is down one child, and as terrible a mother as Liz I think she'll do a better job than Sam. Let's have a custody fight!

In case you can't tell, I never really liked Liz. She has always been annoying to me. So, even though I kind of like the Liason pairing, I never wanted them to be the end game, just a nice diversion for Jason.

Cartini have said that Jake is dead and not coming back; they also said that giving Liz/Jason a child was a mistake, and Sam should have had Jason's child years ago (with Lucky still pretending to the father). Daniel was supposed to be the second child for Sam and Jason.

Seriously bishbay? If they do that, Sam might get LIz's kids. That woman has spent less time with her kids than a fish shares time with grass. I think by New York Law, they are legally grandma Webber's kids now.

Carlivati on Liz's upcoming storylines: "Liz is a character who is best during a tragedy. A couple of years ago she lost a child, but what happens if she loses all of her children? The idea is to have Lucky swoop back in and take custody of Aidan and Cameron because Liz is an unfit mother. Lucky disappears with the children, and Liz is left alone without friends, family--because at this point Steve has already come out and moved to LA to find himself--or a lover. Liz's lack of identity culminates in her having radical plastic surgery, at which point Martha Madison assumes the role. Martha's a wonderfully talented actress and for me, she's always been 'the real Liz.' I think fans will love this story, because it touches on her history with Lucky, gets rid of kids who never really fit on the canvas, addresses the actor problem that has been plaguing the character of Elizabeth Webber, and leaves us with lots of new story to tell."

I don't know about you guys but all of this ^^ sounds great.

Really? Martha Madison coming in to assume the role as Liz? If this does ring to be true, you can bet that Rebecca Herbst fans & Liz fans will be pissed if Rebecca is to be fired/let go again & replaced. I agree with Scooter Smith, that story sounds false & completely made up.
