HomeTVThe Bold and the BeautifulThe Fight For Forrester Needs Less Talk And More Action on The Bold and the Beautiful Luke Kerr December 7, 2012 The Bold and the Beautiful, TV Recap 7 Comments The next generation fight for Forrester began on Thursday, and it pitted Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) children versus Taylor’s (Hunter Tylo) children. However, instead of showing us the battle, The Bold and the Beautiful decided to tell us all about why we should care, yet again, about the rivalry between Rick (Jacob Young) and Thomas (Adam Gregory). Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told Liam (Scott Clifton) how far the conflict went back. There was just too much talking, and way too little action. Rick complained a considerable amount to Brooke about how Thomas was going to bring the company down. Thomas talked Taylor’s arm off about his newly acquired 30 percent of Forrester, and what he wants to do with it. Forgive me, but in comparison to past fights for control of Forrester–one of my favorites involved Stephanie (Susan Flannery) kneeing Eric (John McCook) in the balls–Rick vs. Thomas just feels so amateur. Maybe if Thomas wasn't sunshine, snapdragons, smiles and Strawberry Shortcake 90 percent of the time, and a bit more let's blow up Rick's car, I'd take him seriously. Something needs to be done to darken Thomas up a bit. Meanwhile, saintly Caroline (Lindsey Godfrey) buzzed about town. She talked to Hope (Kim Matula) about Liam, and wondered if she’d get back with him if she had the chance. Of course, she didn’t reveal what Rick and Bill (Don Diamont) had done to Liam and Hope. Honestly, that would be too easy. Then, she headed over to Spencer Publications, where she found Liam and Steffy. Caroline sure gets around. 7 Responses Daniel St. John December 8, 2012 As BB tries to transition storylines to focus on the younger generation the show continues to makes the same mistake every time: the writing has no depth. Now I freely admit that BB is not now and has never been some overly deep, intricately written show but the Taylor/Ridge/Brooke triangle and all of the other fights for Forrester were never as shallow as what is currently being delivered to viewers. And the result BB has become the most boring show on daytime. Log in to Reply LoveVillians December 8, 2012 Can you say BORING. Hope and Rick vrs Steffy and Thomas. In the real world Steffy and Thomas would win by a landslide, but since this is B&B, the Logans will win. Steffy has clothing lines that are doing extremely well. Plus she got the company back from Bill. She is really the only one that works. Thomas has new and exciting ideas. Hope has a line that is in the red. Rick is a designer, but can’t draw. Hope and Rick don’t work; they walk around all day whining. Brooke walks around giving stupid advice and I don’t think she has gave any business advice in the year and half I’ve been watching. Carolyn and Hope talking like two airheads. Rick and Carolyn don’t look right together. He is in his 40s she is in her 20s. Can you say creepy. That’s not that large of an age difference. I too noticed that. I wonder if it was Ronn that was giving AG acting tips. If so, AG may want to talk to someone else who has better acting chops that RM ever did! Log in to Reply stoney07 December 10, 2012 I’m bored. I find myself writing my OWN version of B&B when the actual show is airing, and I’m being entertained FAR MORE by my own twisted mind… Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
