Won't miss him but I will miss Heather saying "Stephen Lars" as many times as possible in nearly every scene she is in.

I too hope they re-cast. The actor was ok but we need better men on GH. Steve Reeves was ok...but he did not really stand out. I wish they would bring Jason Quartermaine back but that won't be anytime soon.

Again I think that Connie should go and RC and FV bring back Megan Ward as Kate Howard. If you do not agree let me know. Was I the only one who felt Megan Ward as Kate Howard with Sonny was gold. Sonny grew into a man because of Kate. She was a successfull woman who did not need protecting like Brenda or was into drama all over town like Carly. Megan Ward and Maurice Bernard had serious chemistry. Sometimes I think they fired her because she was having a real life affair with Maurice.

Kelly Sullivan is doing a fine job as Connie but she cannot pull Kate off well. If you agree please let me know. I do not want Kate Howard gone but just recast her with the original fashion diva, Megan Ward.

May I also say hoe great Kristen looked last episode. This is why we need Crimson back. This whole nonsense with Connie stealing Molly's novel is ludicrous. Kate Howard owns an empire and with Megan back we could pair her up in stories with Rick, Todd, Jax, Sonny and even the new Quartermaine I hear coming.

Imagine Kate Howard going head to head with Lucy Coe. Kate has not business with people like Carly she deserves a good story a more Alexis Carrington story line. I think the whole Crimson and Fashion premise on the show was heading somewhere bright and fun before they dumped Megan. Like I said Megan brought talent to the show and she should be given another chance.

I never thought he was horrible in this role OR his Y&R role. He wasn't spectactular, but the only thing that got him over on Y&R was the ridiculously great talent he was surrounded with. I mean, we had Tricia Cast (nina) and Heather Tom (Victoria) in a triangle with HIM....and then let's not forget crazy Tricia who ultimately shot him to death at the altar. SO yeah, he could get away with his acting on Y&R because his character really was nothing more than the romantic serial cheater who just couldn't help himself.

On GH he was supposed to have a bit more substance, I suppose, but it just didn't quite CLICK. I don't think he was horrible though.

B&B needs to pick him up and pair him with Katie and watch Taylor's head explode (as much as I love Taylor, it would be GREAT)

Just because he's gone doesn't mean she can't talk about him Wink

I hate losing legacy characters, I expecially hate it when its on the backs of dumb a$$ newbies like Brit, Sabrina and Felix

I'm sorry to see him go. His character was boring, yes, but ultimately necessary for the hospital. Boring characters have their place on soaps, too, to supply some realism or prop up the other characters. If Stephen Lars wasn't on the canvas, we wouldn't have Heather or our A.J. back!

I hope Steve is not killed off, though it would not surprise me if he was incapacitated for a while due to Heather. Steve will probably be recast at some point. I believe that Scott Reeves is a solid actor, but his GH tenure has been underwhelming. While I do not agree with his wife's personal beliefs, I do not believe people should be personally wishing him ill.

Im okay with this. The cast can only be but so big and honestly he brought nothing to the canvas. I would rather see laura skye lorenzo blair ric a recast dillon ned jax or scotty return to the canvas so if losing him gives them more budget for that Im okay.

As for the newbies, my guess is that they try and make sabrina and ellie work and that britt and felix dont last long. My guess is felix will be a part of getting the ball going and he will add some flash to that and then after the ball the character may very well fade out. I recall someone got fired around the time they brought on a bunch of a newbies and I said wait to see if these newbies even last and in the end the only one that is still around is sean. Whenever there is a firing there is always talk about it coming at the expense of the newest folks and in many instances those people come and go - the woman that owned the hotel in ireland, the doc that was lisa's buddy that treated joss, etc.

And I wouldnt be surprised if this is the first of a few firings. I thought that RC preferred family units/dynamic. I think any character that is sort of untethered for lack of a better term is going to be in danger. (and NO Im not suggesting liz because she has been around for nearly two decades) Steves ONLY connection to the canvas was liz. You look at all the newbies, johnny, sean, olivia and a number of others - they have weak ties to the canvas. I wouldnt be surprised if we dont see some of these characters leave and some discover unknown ties to family already there.

My main gripe is Liz keeps losing connections on the show (Jake, Emily, Nik, Lucky, Jason, Robin, Grams, and Steven Lars). I miss Liz and Emily's friendship.

if days was smart they would snatch him up to play Peter Blake then the show could try and salvage Jennifer by having Peter kill her before Jack returns and hooks up with Billie finally lol

I see a lot of fans responded that Steve is a legacy character, a hospital character, and that they love Scott Reeves. I don’t see a lot of people saying that they love the character of Steven Lars, that they loved SR in the role, that Steve & Olivia were their favorite couple, etc. I think that it’s safe to say the actor is more popular than the character he plays. Loved him as Ryan on Y&R but his Steven Lars is and will be forgettable. Unlike Trey (great actor & great character but not very good story), Steve was given a good love interest and was part of the great Heather Webber stuff but still the character never shined.

Well all I can say is: finally. Steve and StOlivia have been the least interesting characters for me on GH. They are like air. And with Steve, it is definitely because of Scott Reeves. I can't believe how lack-luster and dry his portrayal of Steve has been. I was sure that the reveal of him covering up AJ being alive would somehow make him more interesting as a character, but no.

Ryan McNeil on Y&R was never my favorite character, yet another goody-two-shoes without much personality, but at least Reeves fit that role and made him believable. I have always had enormous trouble seeing Reeves as the grandson of Dr. Steve Hardy, the original hero and protagonist of GH (whom I adore by the way).

Having said this, we definitely should have more Hardy/Webbers on screen. Liz alone is certainly not enough. I am miffed as it is how that family has been ignored in the recent years.

Sorry to see Scott Reeves go, but truth be told, they wrote his character like crap.

Good luck Scott.

Why is no one saying what is so obvious? He was let go because of his politically incorrect views. His friends who agreed with him have now also left the show. Jonathan Jackson, and now Steve Burton. They were all close because of their religious beliefs. He had no one left.

@Idylkng -- if that's true, then I'm devastated. I adore Jonathon Jackson. I always thought he left the show because they were always making him cry and draining him emotionally with the scenes they wanted him to play. And then he ended up on Nashville and I figured, "Oh, he had an amazing offer for a primetime show, makes sense now." I can't give my support to someone who does not support gay marriage. I figured Steve Burton might be a tool like that, he just rubbed me off that way, I don't know why, something about him screams 'jerkoff,' but Jonathon Jackson seemed so kind and sweet, I would have never thought. -- As for Scott, I was upset until I realized his wife was Jennifer from DAYS...my exact reaction, "OMG, he's married to that Chick-Fil-A bitch?!??"
