Will Tucker Behave This Christmas on The Young and the Restless?

This week’s The Young and the Restless promo is a bit more general than normal, what with it being the holidays. However, it did give viewers a few hints at what’s in store. It looks like Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) will come together to ensure their children don’t miss out on family traditions.

Meanwhile, Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) tells Tucker (Stephen Nichols) to behave, but who knows if he will actually heed his mother’s advice. Billy (Billy Miller) finds some mistletoe, but will it help him woo Victoria (Amelia Heinle)? Watch this week's Y&R promo after the jump!

They will always have something to gripe about! Can’t stand either of them! Daniel Goddard has consistently tried to follow me on twitter and every time he does, I deny him the access to my twitter feed.

Nope, don’t care either. I’m glad that Stephen Nichols was let go. The character was pointless, never fleshed out very well (and we can blame that on MAB), and since his divorce from Ashley, he’s been pretty much useless. With Tucker leaving town or meeting his maker, I’m doing to go out on a limb and say that we’ll probably never see Julie Pace Mitchell (Sofia) EVER again! Another early Christmas present! She could never act her way out of a paper bag, much less the yellow pages!

The only reason SN was brought on to play Tucker was because 1) they wanted a “name” even though they couldn’t afford it and 2) they thought Eric Braden was leaving during his contract negotiations and they wanted to make Tucker more “Victor-like” in case that happened. The Tucker that William Russ played was COMPLETELY different than SN, but I liked him a lot. If they have to bring the character back in the future, I hope they bring Russ back (doubt he’d say yes though after the way they canned him) or write Tucker COMPLETELY different.

I could care less if Tucker misbehaves, we’ve been subjected to 3 miserable years of him prancing around GC in lieu of Kay/Jill. All his “misbehaving” is a huge snore, or just plain gross. Not the type of entertainment I tune in for.

I will watch Tucker only for Katherine and Jill. My only interest is how his departure leaves them and the family they built, and I have followed, for almost 40 years now. Kill him off, un-do his blood tie to Kay, grind him into tiny pieces, or have him walk up a staircase and never come down, I just don’t care. All I ask is that if he ever returns that he is re-cast so he is a suitable love interest for Jill and is able to work between Kay & Jill with humor. i.e. like William Russ.

No, I’m sick of him. MAB’s never ending attempt to re-invent the Chancellors to fit SN’s Tucker instead of finding someone who fit them reminded me of the father in the Hanes commercial and his solution to remedy the problem of socks that don’t fit their feet.

Word. It’s amazing how quickly a young character was made to be so old and dated. Victoria was dating Neil once upon a time. There’s no reason she and Billy should be presented as contemporaries. They are not the same age.

Wow,so much hate. I’m sorry to disagree but I love Stephen Nichols, his portrayal of Tucker and his relationship with his mother Katherine. I stopped watching the show once they got rid of Genie Francis except occasionally tuning in to see Stephen and wasn’t surprised by the fact the new regime was going to let him go but I for one am sad to see such an interesting character be scrapped for the most boringest of boring actors such as Cane/Lily/Neil and all the new additions who’ve done nothing to enhance the show. The show should of had Tucker and Genevieve revisit they’re past together (the actors had tons of chemistry) and brought Colin back for Jill which is what I assumed MAB had originally intended. I would of definitely stuck around for that!

Yes, we know you love Stephen Nichols with all the robotic comments you make about him you’re surely part of his posse. What “relationship with his mother?” HE DIDN’T HAVE ONE! You were seeing something you wanted to see, and clearly were only watching Y&R for Genie Francis and Stephen Nichols–two overpaid, overrated washed up daytime has-beens who had no business being on the show.

    Now—go away.

Lot’s of fighting here today. Which is good, cause The Show is boring as #ell. I cannot believe we are going to be subjected to yet another ‘trial of Sharon’. Does this woman have a revolving door at the GC Courthouse? And with Avery as her lawyer, it’s always a good excuse for Prick to be hanging (or is it banging) around Sharon’s woman-parts.

Back to Tucker. Hooray! Good bye. Now Katherine can get back to normal with her relationship with Jill, Esther, maybe Murphy?, giving Nikki advice, etc. But the whole Tucker thing — didn’t work.

Tucker did not stand a chance, especially since EB as Victor the Cockroach decided to stay. Plus he also had that cold, unfeeling, selfish bitch of a demon Mother to contend with. Of course in this case it really did turn out to be something like … like Mother, like Son; which could have been dynamic.

I think the show is extremely exciting these days. I do not for one moment believe that Sharon will be on trial. That SL is being well-written and portrayed to the hilt by SC. Stephen Nichols was a terrible addition to the show. I wanted to take those dang sunglasses and shove them up his rear end. Bye and don’t let the door hit you on your rump,

I mostly agree with what RICHALAN67 had to say, especially about Sharon.
I found the Tucker character disgusting. I liked the original guy and thought he was a much better actor than this DOOFUS.

Oh, pay no mind to the multiple comments,@tori87dec. It’s obvious they’re totally obsessed with Stephen Nichols. Hard to believe some people are so infatuated with Jill that they spend their days going from board to board to board posting the same BS about how Tucker’s only purpose on the show is to service Jill with storylines and sex scenes. It is a major loss for Y&R to oust Stephen. There was a ton of potential for his character. At least when he’s gone I won’t have to watch this snooze fest of a show any longer, or be subjected to you know who’s pathetic Jill agenda.

ANOTHER member of Stephen Nichols posse, who declares they will “stop watching” when he leaves Y&R, which only proves you were ONLY watching the show for HIM.

GOOD–LEAVE!!! The show doesn’t need viewers like you.

Oh my! The guilty dog barks first! I guess if the shoe fits, wear it. Can’t say I’m in the ‘Stephen Nichols posse’, whatever that is, but you sure make me want to be. So, when Jill disappears off screen, are you going to continue watching, or leave like you keep saying you will on all the many boards you spew on? Planning to stay tuned in because you can’t get enough of that Lane love? The show doesn’t need viewers like me? News flash! The show needs viewers period. Get a clue.

What are you babbling about? I post HERE, and I tweet. That’s it. Please name the other boards where you claim you’ve seen me posting.

And sure I’m a Jill fan. But what does that have to do with anything? The entire time she was gone YES–I still watched it. I watch Y&R AS A WHOLE. Not for ONE CHARACTER. And if she up and retires next year, I’ll probably STILL watch it.

And NO–Y&R does NOT need a viewer who is only watching for ONE CHARACTER. So again—GO AWAY.

LOLOLOL… If you only post here and on Twitter, please tell me about the Stephen Nichols posse you accused me of being in and how you are so informed about their covert affairs. BTW, if that’s not you, you really should check into the multiple users who are copying and pasting your repetitive remarks word for word all over the boards. Oddly enough, they all love cats. Go figure. (You forgot Facebook!)

Probably is a mighty big word. I thought for sure you’d be following Stephen Nichols to his next project so you could bash him there.

LOLOLOL…. Right. You get to decide who gets to watch the show post on DC. The mods must be thrilled. You really should get a clue.

BTW.. reply all you want, but don’t expect another reply from me. I’ve grown bored with such intellecual banter that includes a big old pouty ‘GO AWAY’. I’m betting your next reply will include something as thought provoking as ‘GOOD! WE DIDN’T WANT YOU HERE ANYWAY! zzzzzzzzz…

Quite a few people in this thread don’t care for Tucker, it doesn’t look to me that they are all the same person at all- I know I’m not. Maybe DC will check it for you. LOL

WOW! All the diatribe about the characters, the stories, the actors, each other! I’m wondering if MAB really left…seems like very few are happy even now. Sometimes, to right a ship, it takes a lot of planning, work and even quick decisions when things, stories, relationships become clearer as the “muck” begins to clear. I’m excited at some of the changes but also afraid the “uniqueness” of Bill Bell’s creation is disappearing right before our eyes! When have you ever seen sets so bright and the pace moving so fast in stories as you do now. One example, the new penthouse! Y&R has always had a dark background so the actors didn’t compete with the set. Another, regarding story…when have you ever tuned in and at the beginning of the show, Victor is in the middle of a conversation with Adam when the last time we saw him, he was talking to Nicki? There was no lead-in to that scene. I asked myself, did I miss something? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Josh’s history with the show will help/assist JFP in the redesign without making it unrecognizable. Remember what happened to “Guiding Light”? Started with the cameras and then outdoors and then “Canceled”. No one knew it anymore. And also the music…I haven’t made my mind up on that yet. One thing I do not like is “On The Boulevard”. That set is cheap, horrible, looks tiny, and awkward. Hard to see everyone. I guess the GCAC is slowly being fazed out too. I say, rebuild Gloworm, rename it and give me the Collinade Room anyday to “On the Bullshit” anyday! Oh well, just my musings this early AM! Hey, yall be nice to each other! Its the holidays. OH, one other thing…Jabot has no other executives for Neil to meet with than his family, future girlfriend and now, the girlfriend’s brother? How long has that company been in business? I say add Devon to the bus leaving the station. Most untalented actor, unneeded character, especially now that both biological parents are leaving. Make room on the bus for Cane and Lily and those two babies and find verification that Drucilla is dead and gone for good. And clean up Neil’s behavior in the office where his new hire, (future girlfriend) is concerned. Appalling, while he thinks he most qualified to run such a company! Sorry, these thoughts are really rambling around in my head this AM!! I’ll stop now! :)
