BREAKING NEWS: Prospect Park Inks Deal With The WGA for All My Children and One Life to Live Reboots!

Now we have ourselves a ball game! According to several sources, Prospect Park has signed a deal with the Writers Guild of America (WGA) for their upcoming continuations of All My Children and One Life to Live. What was the big hold up? Residuals.

"It all came down to residuals," says an insider. "Prospect Park hopes to air the episodes of All My Children and One Life to Live on cable and in other countries, after their initial online airings. The WGA couldn't afford to make a deal that didn't include residuals for the writers."

The WGA and PP came to a mutually beneficial deal today. The production company plans to go into production with All My Children and One Life to Live in Connecticut next month. Keep checking back with Daytime Confidential as this story develops!

So we got SAG, WGA....now all we need are actors and characters we care about. No AMC fan cares about Griffin or his sister.

Rumor has it NathanHastingsSr. That the shows will be on Hulu don't know if you'll have to pay or not I think that's for extra.

As for Griffin...if that boy takes his shirt off and has some sexy scenes then I have no problem watching Wink

@The Moustache: I don't think the PP deal will fall apart like it did last time since they have all their ducks in a row this time! PP now has deals with all the unions (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, and now the WGA) along with funding for the shows too! Now all they have to do is sign more stars up for AMC and OLTL!

I also hope its not on hulu. I hope they can get the ad revenue to keep the shows free.

This is FAB news. I really hope it all works out for everyone.

I thought Hulu was free and Hulu Plus wasn't?

well some of the shows are available for free, they have a filter, but a lot of the time the best stuff is on hulu plus.

Supposedly (all here say and rumor) the show will be on Hulu with extra stuff like behind the scenes clips and all that will be on Hulu Plus.

Thanks for the scoop, Jamey! This is great news, as it opens the door to so many great writers, many of whom wrote for OLTL or AMC during some great years for the soaps. Let's hope they move quickly with securing writers and that we hear more about the cast members!

If it's on Hulu, that keeps Canadians out of seeing them.

That would be disappointing, TV Gord. I am excited, but I feel like we are still pretty in the dark about casting.

Ok Im confused In Nelson Branco's Soaps Uncensored issue #57 he broke that

each show will air M-TH for 42 weeks 168 episodes Original episodes plus 84 recap shows (42 AMC & 42 OLTL) that air fridays for a total of 420 eps a year

However Shaun Daily Tweeted:
@prospectpk Fans of #AMC #OLTL should get familiar w telenovela format. 21 wks of each show. 3 seven week spurts for each.42 wks total a yr

So anyone have intel? Thanx
