HomePop ConfidentialCelebrityKelly and Sharon Osbourne Take on Lady Gaga and Her Little Monsters Over Bullying Luke Kerr January 11, 2013 Celebrity, E!, Fashion Police, Music, Talk Shows, The Talk, TV 8 Comments If there is one thing TV viewers have learned since The Osbournes were first on MTV, it is you do not mess with Sharon Osbourne’s children! In an open letter to Lady Gaga on Facebook, The Talk co-host rebutted Gaga’s open letter to her daughter Kelly Osbourne. The whole incident started when Kelly told Fabulous magazine: “I get called fat all the time. A big fat whore. Lady Gaga’s fans are the worst. They’ve said I should kill myself, that they hope I get raped. I mean it’s crazy but I’ve had this all my life and I just try and ignore it.” Lady Gaga responded to Kelly with an open letter on LittleMonsters.com: I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people's beauty against one another. “Appearance” is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals. What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story? Lady Gaga’s open letter brought mamma grizzly Osbourne into scrap with an open letter of her own. How sweet that you have empathy for my daughter, as you feel that she has taken a less passionate path in life. You say her work on E! with the Fashion Police is “rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another.” Welcome to the real world. Example, when I saw you wear a dress made out of raw meat, I was sickened. When I see you wearing fur, and using it as a fashion statement, the fact that defenseless animals have been killed so you can get your picture in the press is abhorrent to me. Shouldn’t you be teaching your “little monster” fans to respect animals and life? I don’t feel I have to justify Kelly’s choices in life to you. By your actions to Kelly right now, you have shown me that you are nothing more than a publicly seeking hypocrite and an attention seeker. You know it would have been much more dignified of you to do this privately. I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter. Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public? Regardless of who is bullying whom, E! must love the publicity it is getting for Fashion Police. Photo by PR Photos 8 Responses rapid_roman61 January 11, 2013 A publicity stunt for all concerned. Is anyone really buying this? Log in to Reply alstonboy4315 January 11, 2013 Back in the day, singers with TALENT only needed to open up their mouths and sing and/or dance to sell their music………these days, they engage in fake rivalries and Twitter beefs to try to stir up publicity. Log in to Reply hey mon January 11, 2013 Seems a bit real to me. I’m for Ozzy and his kids! Kelly is a gorgeous young woman. Log in to Reply Ryan-Scott January 11, 2013 Kelly and Sharon are bullies themselves. I remember Kelly was saying Gaga must be pregnant when she had gained weight. Sharon needs to look at how she raised her daughter cuz obviously she failed somewhere. Love how Sharon tries to rationalize what her daughter does on that crap show. Sad and oh so sickening. #Team Gaga Paws up bitches! Log in to Reply TV Gord January 11, 2013 I’m not Team Gaga or Team Kelly, but Ryan-Scott, I agree with everything you’ve written here. It probably would have been more productive and less bitchy to contact Gaga or her people directly about her concerns. Gaga responded but she spoke basically the truth. Kelly’s upset that Gaga fans bully her, yet isn’t that what she’s basically getting paid to do as a host of The Fashion Police? I have nothing against The Fashion Police but if you are going to dish it out than you better be able to take it. As for mama Sharon, I think her point about Gaga wearing meat (can’t believe i just wrote that) or wearing animal furs is coming from left-field. The discussion was about bullying. If Gaga had started a foundation again fur and then was seen traipsing around wearing fur than that would be hypocritical, but I don’t see how she’s at fault for what her fans do unless she’s suggesting they go out and bully and it seems to me that with her foundation, she’s attempting to do the exact opposite. Log in to Reply Karissa January 12, 2013 I think they both are wrong. Kelly should have never talked about lady gaga and lady gaga shouldn’t talk about Kelly. But really lady gaga she had one good song in my opinion and now most everyone is over her Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
