General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Alexis and Lucy arrive at the courthouse, and feel very prepared for her arraignment.  Alexis warns Lucy to keep quiet, but Lucy loudly urges Mac and Felicia to kill Caleb.

Tracy arrives in an unhappy mood, because Lucy lost her mind right after the co-CEO announcement.  Tracy threatens to withdraw her check for the Nurses' ball if Lucy doesn't stop talking about vampires. She asks if stopping Caleb is more important to Lucy than helping those with AIDS.  Lucy agrees not to mention Caleb, and or plead insanity.

Felix wants to discuss booking the Metro Court Ballroom with Carly, but the state of her hair distracts him. Carly admits she did it to herself, but Felix is certain it was because of a man.  When Carly mentions Todd, Felix tells her about Todd's hospital stay and attempted to escape. Then, offers to fix Carly’s hair, but she refuses.  Carly wants to forget everything that's happened.

Felix advises her to make herself over, and parade in front of the man. It will prove Todd didn’t ruin her life.  He warns her never to show her hand.  Carly thanks him, and asks what she owes him.  Felix asks for a discount on the ballroom, but Carly offers to donate it to him for the cause.

At the hospital, Todd refuses to get ready to go to court, until John arrives to escort him personally.  Epiphany orders John back into bed, but John refuses. He’s leaving against medical orders.

Michael meets with AJ, who updates him on Lucy’s meltdown. AJ thinks ELQ is prime for the taking.  He knows Lucy's stunt is grounds for a revote, and there's a good chance some of Tracy’s supporters will to come to their side. AJ wants to run the company with Michael. Michael is surprised by AJ’s enthusiasm, because he thought his father would have done something stupid by now.  AJ admits he almost did, and tells his son about the incident with Carly and Connie at The Floating Rib.

Michael’s upset to hear Carly tried to get AJ to drink, but AJ defends Carly by saying she was drunk and upset about Todd.  AJ mentions spending the night with Carly, which immediately angers Michael. However, he cools down when AJ explains what happened.  Michael thanks him for looking after Carly.

Epiphany’s looking for Felix, and Sabrina attempts to cover for her friend. However, Pif sees right through her lie.  Sabrina confesses Felix is out looking for a venue for the ball. Pif is surprised to hear about the ball, and asks why they didn't tell her earlier.  Sabrina claims Felix told her not to tell Epiphany, because she isn’t fun.

Britt asks Patrick if she’s been too aggressive with him.  He feels he was over thinking things, but still has a babysitting issue.  Britt offers to hang out with Emma, just to get to know her better.  Patrick agrees, but wants them to take things slowly.

Todd, Diane and John arrive at the courthouse in the middle of Lucy’s arraignment.  John slips into the courtroom.  The DA wants to charge Lucy with attempted murder under special circumstances.  Lucy pleads not guilty, but spots John and starts screaming at him.  Lucy attacks John, and Mac has to pull her off.  Alexis declares she wants Lucy to undergo a psych evaluation. She also informs the judge Lucy's plea is now not guilty due to insanity.

As they are leaving the courthouse, Todd hears Alexis inform Tracy that Lucy won't go to jail because of the insanity plea. Carly arrives for Todd’s hearing, dressed in a smoking red dress with hot new short hair.  Todd is thrilled to see her, until she says she came to see him get charged.

Michael and AJ overhear an irate Tracy on the phone with Ned, discussing the possibility of AJ besting her in the battle for ELQ.

As Lucy is taken to Ferncliff, she complains to Alexis that she was supposed to get out on bail.  Alexis points out she’s crazy, and leaves to find a doctor. Lucy can't believe no one thinks her accusations are true. Out of nowhere, Heather steps into the room and says she does.

Loved everything about the courthouse/Tracy/Lucy/Alexis/John. The look of horror on Tracy's face when Lucy went off on John. Alexis' exasperation. All of it was a hoot.

Line of the day:
Tracy to Lucy: "Ixnay on the ampiresVay"

LW looked smoking at the end in the red dress and the new hair.

Glad the issue with Pif not knowing about the ball has been addressed.

Tired of the Britt/Patrick convo about taking things slow. Heard it already.

Why is Heather allowed to roam around?

It's so nice that SE's Epiphany has been released from her GH storage closet purgatory. Let's hope they keep her around on a more regular basis.
And I for one believe Epiphany is "fun". They've just never had her on in an extended sequence to let us see just how much fun she can be! I want to see her perform for the Nurses' Ball!... Innocent

I am hoping that this AJ vs Tracy storyline evolves a bit. I like that the two of them are fighting for ELQ but it would work better for me if they were both working at the company at the same time. This all or nothing aspect of the story needs to change. Some of my favorite soap story lines have involved corporate backstabbing but it usually occurs when characters are scheming against each other in the office where they both work.

I enjoyed the reference to Felix getting some of his training at Foxy Roxy's in Llanview. All the courtroom drama was the highlight of the show for me!

The courthouse stuff was fun. Did anyone else notice Kristina Wagner breaking character with the giggles? Lucy Coe is a lot of fun to watch and I have no problem with the vampire-stuff as long as it's a in her head. Lynn Herring is a joy to watch.

Great to see Epiphany after so long. She still couldn't make Sabrina more enjoyable but that's because Sabrina is no fun. The Patrick/Brittt scenes were redundant and uninteresting. I wish Britt had self-respect. The character has been disservice by not interacting with non-hospital staff over Patrick. Could she meet AJ, Johnny, Todd, Shawn and see what happens?

Todd is fantastic and works magic with everyone...and Diane is already magical. Todd pleading insanity should be fun. Carly and Felix was okay. At least he was interacting with someone besides Sabrina. I like Carly's new cut but wish it were more stylized.

Felix and Carly was great. Their interaction was really nice I would of hoped that Felix would of been Carly's new assistant/best friend. Laura Wright was a wild thing in her early days on Loving so this was familiar for her.

Todd was a joy. Everything was great as always. Epiphany punching Sabrina was a riot. That was the highlight of the episode.

Ooooo.... Felix gonna get it!

Was that an actor from L.A. Law playing the judge on today's episode?

Wonder what Laura Wright is thinking now after she bragged about how great Carly and Todd are. I just hope they do NOT try to pair her with AJ or Sonny.

NOTHING can make Sabrina enjoyable.

So happy Lucy is back. Can't wait for Kevin to come.

I usually never comment but I have to say I really enjoyed today's eposiode. It had no SONNY so in my book that is an A Plus. I am sorry to say thatI think MB is the worst actor in Daytime. when he delivers his lines it is like he is struggling to remmeber his lines. I wouldn't be sorry if he left the show.

Ok, now on to the very good things about today shows. All the VET actors were awesome. Lucy, tracy an Felicia and Mac were all wonderful in the Wacky court scenes add a little John Mcbain not saying anything during Lucy's court hearing but his facial reactions were priceless. It was nice to see Epiphany back on my screen. I do like Sabrina but feel they need to take her beyond Patrick and the Stupid Britt story line.

Does anyone else suspect when Epiphany and Felix come face to face today, he says, "Hey, Auntie!"?

I always seem to be on the opposite of reactions to this show. While I am stoked that the show is better and the writing is spot on... and that the MOB is truly no longer CENTRAL to the storylines on the series... I am not a fan of some of the new characters or bringing up past that should have been left in the past.

All it does for Lucy Coe now to reveal the VAMPIRE story is make her out to be crazy and a loon! If Valentini wants to bring up that Port Charles story fine but it can't be done in the way its being put forth because for those who remember the story it can't be explained away as a dream or a misunderstanding or the similar. We all saw it happening (whether it was anywhere as good as THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is another story).

I think this is where the show is making a big mistake because it only goes to prove how 2 soap operas were based in the EXACT same town around the EXACT same location of GH and were both basically TWO separate worlds. Now Valentini is bringing the one world that was canceled BECAUSE OF LOW RATINGS which meant NO ONE WAS WATCHING IT and it will only be a drag on GH and its credibility of story telling.

Another "UGH" moment was Maxie finding out she is pregnant again after only miscarrying on the same day of new conception OR Carly once again getting so drunk over a man and going to his bed that she forgot she has a young child at home!!! I mean, seriously, do the sleep in AJs bed thing, it's tired but go ahead. BUT lets just have a "mother" on one of these soaps realize in the morning that "OMG, I have a young daughter at home that I am suppose to see before she goes off to school or, at the very least, sees me when she wakes up!" moment. Carly goes off and grabs a coffee with Felix and Maxie is all shocked she got pregnant after only getting her miscarried fetish pulled out of her womb! (sorry, its just as gross typing that as realizing that's what she did)

^^ I believe it was stated that Josslyn is visiting Jax. It's enough for me that soap opera children are acknowledged on-screen and seldom seen! I think Carly has been behaving in-character (petty, immature, selfish) and Laura Wright has been excellent.

Instead of the headwriter behaving as if Port Charles (show, not town) could be a figment of Lucy's imagination. I think it's fun. Lucy is an eccentric character and Lynn Herring is adept at humor. This story puts Lucy front-and-center, will lead to Kevin's return and gets McBain off the sidelines. I'm loving it!

Now, I think the Maxie storyline is indefensible.

That's *exactly* what I hope. Not because all black characters should be related but seeing Pif struggle to put up with Felix because he's family would be BIG fun!

It's not a question of all black characters being related. All contract characters end up being related to someone! Wink

Cuckoo and Coe in the same room cant wait. Gh is awesome. Love the scene with Carly and the new homosexual. Love Lucy going crazy in the courtroom. Cartini is doing a great job. This is leading up to a really good Ball.

Why can't Lucy mistake Britt for a vampire and go after her? Smile

"The new homosexual"

Okay, I'm hoping that was meant in a light-hearted way and not a bigoted one because it made me laugh, especially since Felix's being gay (and on this show, gay = sassy, gym-going and inappropriate) is pretty much his only trait.

GH was on fire yesterday! I too was glad to see Epiphany back but where was Liz? I am tired of not seeing Liz in a story of her own and believe that they need to go there and have her and Michael connect! That would be such good soapy greatness!

Carly and AJ was awesome and I look forward to a slow build before Tracy calls Jax to return to finally Raid ELQ. What a great Nod to 1996!

I want to see a Ned and Lois(Rena Sofer the one and only Lois) Reunion! Seeing those two and Brenda back would be a hoot! Bring them back!

Britt needs to get the stake in the heart yes I agree with the post about that.

The whole whether PC should be acknowledged or not who knows who cares what is done is done. If it brings back Kevin than great. I personally feel whitewashing it as a dream/crazy brains of Lucy who cares. I vote to whitewash the vampire crap.

Eliminating the Vampires from the PC universe allows Karen(Kari's version cause she was the only true Karen) to come back and be a doctor at GH! It also allows the best PC character of EVE to come to GH! Bring on Julie Pinston!

I think the vampire thing is going to be a way to call in to question whether john is john or john is someone else - ie a non vampire caleb morely the tenth or something like that. Lucy hit her head in a museum of the occult and the last thing she saw was a picture of caleb morely. Todd is easy to change too - victor is the real todd and todd is some rich guy that was plucked off the street and brainwashed.

Carly's short hair looks great!

Sorry, I don't like Epiphany - never have. I don't see why it should be any of her business if Sabrina & Felix are arranging the Nurses Ball. She should be happy that SOMEONE is arranging it after all these years. Yes, she COULD have been told about it, but only as a courtesy. I'm sure if Sabrina had talked about reviving the NB to Epiphany before doing anything, she would have said "no".

Must Felix be reduced to being the "girl's best friend"?

WTH was Lucy wearing? I know she dresses youthfully, but that "blouse" just looked cheap.
