GH is coming off the DVR until Laura Spencer returns! It's been dreadfully dull all of January. I actually liked Lucy having dillusions of vampires but this is too much. Why revisit this much of Port Charles? Why add more characters to a bloated canvas versus writing quality story for those already there? Between this story, Kannie's DID and Mousy Nurse v. Bitchy Doctor, GH is not very good these days. Will soap critics take the rose-colored glasses off when it comes to Carvialti?

I agree that GH hasn't been as good lately. With this show, it really comes down to the characters. When it's Anna, Duke/Faison, Robert, Robin, Heather, Monica, Tracy, AJ, etc..on the front burner it's really good. But when the focus is on Connie, Kristina, Sabrina, Spinelli, Lulu, Dante, Sonny, etc.. it's a big YAWN. And I do think they are taking the vampire stuff too far. What I'm wondering is how Steve is leaving the show...Is he getting killed off? There hasn't been any spoiler about this.

Can you guys post Canada friendly youtube clips lol...I watched the promo, looks interesting, but it will probably be campy because it is Ron, I can't wait until Laura and Scotty comes back. The show was so good from October-December, now it's kinda boring, I will admit I'm a huge fan of McBam, but I hope they don't eat the show like JaSam did for an eternity.

Tell me that this is some sort of joke. I can't believe that GH is actually incorporating vampires into the show now. I get that Port Charles was a spin off of GH, and I liked it. I see no point in doing the whole vampire thing on GH.

I'm loving it as well!!! I loved PC and was pissed when it was canceled. I mean what's not to love Michael Easton is HOT! I'd watch him over Sonny or Jason any day. For the people endlessly bitching and moaning that they are gonna stop watching, IF the soap ever does get canceled, you only have yourselves to blame. Wink

Bring it on! I'm thinking they'll come up with a reasonable...okay, workable explanation without actually turning anyone into a true vampire. Maybe there was a cult of pseudovampires that committed crimes, and McBain was undercover to gain evidence. Whatever. It's giving Michael Easton more reason to smolder, and that's all right by me. Just look at how Sam's looking at McBain in that pic. She knows that man is finger-licking good!

No that will be Ron to blame cause of the BS story lines he writes. Cause all he does is contrived plot points for BS agenda. I do find it funny that from Jan-Oct ALOT of what he did failed. And not until Oct-Dec did his work truly go over well(WITH SOME)

See this is what the real problem is Ron is a hack and doesn't flesh out s/l truly. He leaves stuff hanging and then goes on to some contrived BS then back to stuff he left hanging. Like this s/l with the maybe vampire. OK ummmm Sam loved Jason for years she understands Jason is sadly gone and all her dreams of finally being a family is lost. It's now just her and the son the made. She speaks of horoning him. BUT WAIT contrivedly Jon gets hurt and she goes on about this connection. She left her child all night didn't go to check up on him. Says one thing to Todd who stole him. Then it's back to poor Jon again. Now this oh Murder mystery. Ummm what happened to all those years you loved Jason. What happened to horoning her husband making EDward proud and being a family. NOOO contrived mess to bring up Jon and a forced connection. That is souly based off a show that keeping it real failed horribly when they went into vampire stuff.

Cause when you gotta say we have a connection YOU DON'T HAVE ONE. She was with Jason NEVER said we have a connection. Was with Lucky NEVER said we have a connection. Those two were her best pairs and never was it oh lets does utter contrived to pair them together.

To me, this all seems totally unnecessary. It's not even that I am dead set against this type of storytelling, but in the current situation it just all seems like a monumental waste of time. We already a castload of people without storyline, and/or much room for improvement. And more is on the way. This makes me worry about how much time they will have for Laura, not to mention what kind of storylines. Surely they would not be as dumb as to put her on the backburner for stories like this?

Besides, if this storyline goes awry, it has the risk of destroying two shows - GH and the late Port Charles. Some things should just be left as they are.

I am loving GH lately and I also rate the goodness on the fact that hubby makes me watch it with him, its been a long time since he had to watch with me.

We keep on talking about Vampires but I have not seen one yet just heard Lucy's ramblings..so unless I see one I won't think about them. I also believe that its good business to bring back people from a show that took place in the same city. And while a lot of people mention that PC was cancelled for low ratings most need to realize that it was not on every ABC affiliate and the ones it was on they held strong numbers.

This show is bloated with women, yesterday's epi proved that there are not enough MEN.

The more Michael Easton the better because for once there is a cop on this show that is not a nimcompoop.

Bring it on Cartini...I will watch because in the end you are bringing back characters I love and saving my show

If it wasnt contrived MAYBE it wouldnt be sooo bad IMO. But it reeks of foced contrived writting
The risk of destroying hell we are almost on that road now. Sorry but who in their right mind would believe Anna ddn't know she was kissing a mask. WTF. Or his blockbuster Sept. s/l And Kate/Connie come on. And WTF is up with Robert where is Robin and why does Jerry have her. And there is noway Franco is a Q thats just FACT. We saw Susan give birth

That brought Lucy Coe back for this bull. Why did they ever feel the need to address anything from Port Charles, especially the vampires. Are they gonna address that Kevin Collins died in Port Charles? Remember he got hit with a giant light thing. Lucy Coe doesn't need to be crazy talking about vampires on General Hospital. Ya, GH has had an alien, people trying to freeze the world, so what. At least that wasn't ripped off a failed canceled soap.

Maybe I am just in an optimistic mood but I have been liking the Lucy Coe, Vampire Hunter storyline and found this preview video to be really cool. After so many years of everything revolving around the Diminutive Don and his slackjawed manservant I am positively giddy to see new and daring storylines. So I will wait till I actually get to see some of this stuff air before giving my final verdict on it.

Some of this may be related to Michael Easton and OLTL wanting the John McBain character back. This may be their way of giving them McBain back, but keeping M.E.

Yes they are going to make it a dream/hallucination in Lucy's mind, but incorporate the characters from Port Charles, just not as vampires.

Geez people: how bout giving a storyline a chance before bitching non stop about it.

That's exactly why they are doing this. Now they can keep easton and not use the McBain name. Now how do they find a way to keep Todd and Starr?

Fixing the Todd and Starr thing will be a lot tougher. I think that OLTL will recast McBain, but with all that was Todd/Victor there is no way they can recast Todd again and i havent heard anything that says Trevor St. John wants to come back now. Gotta say, i dont care as much about Starr, but i think Todd was a great addition to GH and they need to find a way to keep him there.

The question is from a legal standpoint, what constitutes a character - is it their backstory or is it simply the name. Could todd decide he wants a new start and change is name to tad manning? could he go darker and change his name to todd lord. If its the backstory, could gh make him some guy off the street that irene brainwashed in to believing he is todd?

Could starr be told she needs a new stage name and simply become STARR? Could she marry michael and become starr corinthos. (yeah shes young and thats sudden but maybe she sees something she shouldnt and to keep her from testifying she marries michael just like carly has done with sonny on occasion.

I have to assume that there is WAYYYY more cache in having RH, KA and ME come back to oltl 2.0 than in hiring new actors. The best way to lure them back is to be cooperative with abc and make a deal. Considering that the actors probably otherwise would not jump at the pay cut at this juncture, it seems to me abc holds all the cards. Remember too, RH and ME are proven daytime commodities. Its not pp vs. abc, its pp vs. those two accepting offers from ANY other show. If PP feels they might lose them altogether - because abc isnt going to pay the actors NOT to use them - I would think they would want to deal. Besides, i dont think todd starr and john are that important anymore to a scaled back oltl. Once John wraps things up with natalie and they walk away, they could put MA with Cutter and they could always bring back brody and jess/tess at some point for a quad if they need to fill out this age group. Todd needs to come back to wrap up victors alive, but with tsj out as victor, they could easily recast victor and then the triangle is tea/victor/blair or if tk stays, tea/victor/blair/tomas (I could see victor feeling that tomas is a danger to blair and that rekindling something there or alternatively, it would not be unVictorlike for victor to consciously or unconsciously to be angry with tea for losing their child and for letting the man she thought killed him to be any part of their life, even though their being together was entirely accidental. Unless the resurrect cole and hope, why would starr be needed when they already have a huge story slated for destiny, daniella, and matthew. I could see PP wanting to use her sporadically, but without the other characters in that age grouping (langston, cole and marko) starr is sort of random IMHO

I might be in the minority here but this story line actually looks good. I can’t wait to see how everything is tied together and explained.

Bye bye GH! After watching since 5h grade I will be checking out until this stupid Vampire story is over. Makes no sense to focus story from a canceled show.

For everyone who is saying this is to keep Micheal Easton you do realize if an episode is airing now it was probably scripted 3 months ago?? PP just announced wanting the characters back last week. Whne this storyline was put in place GH didn't know PP wanted the characters back.

And another thing! I'm supposed to believe that Allison has a 20 year old son?!?!??!? Allison was mid to late 20s on PC in the early 2000s. She was the same age as Livvie/Sam. So Sam and Livvie are now mid to late 40s???!?!

I never watched more than one or two episodes of Port Charles. I loved Lynn Herring on GH; but at the time that was not enough to follow her to a show that seemed to be a cheap imitation of Buffy.

I'm not going to stop watching GH over this, but I haven't been enjoying it as much as I was in the latter part of 2012. I hope that changes.

I am in love with GH and love every single story that they are doing. Frank and Ron are doing this because of the OLTL crossover. Just relax and see what is in store. I love it and could care less about the haters.
