Are Blackie Parrish AND Jeff Webber Coming Back For General Hospital's 50th Anniversary?!

Will Blackie Parrish (John Stamos) and Dr. Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson) be paying visits to the fictional town of Port Charles, New York? Returning General Hospital star Kin Shriner believes they will. In a new interview with TV Guide's Michael Logan, Shriner shares who, other than bad boy Scotty Baldwin, he thinks will come back for the sudser's 50th Anniversary. Said Shriner:

I'm sure Stamos will come back because he knows GH started his career. And, of course, Ricky Dean Anderson. We need to get MacGyver back in the mix! We're like an old family from the '80s and I think we'll always feel that way. I'd love to work with Stamos again. As Blackie, he was Paul Drake to my Perry Mason, my footman, my go-to guy. "Go find this out, Blackie!"

If Jeff does come back, I hope Monica (Leslie Charleson) gets some loving. Okay, so she preferred his brother; a Webber in the hand beats two in a bush!

This is AWESOME news. Liz's father is hopefully coming home for a few eppys(fingers crossed). Now if we can get Denise Alexander to return and reignite the Lesley/Monica rivalry...

Curious. I don't recall Liz ever having story that has revealed her mother. Same as Sam not having her father revealed. I'd like to think both actresses would be able to sink their teeth into stories that wouldn't necessarily have to have a love interest as part of the mix. Just a thought. As for Stamos and Anderson coming back for a few episodes/Nurse's Ball festivities, absolutely!... Innocent

They MAJORLY need to address the lack of parental presence in Liz's life. The character has gone through too much to not have at least one parent come to town to check on that heifer.

Didn't Jeff leave PC with Anne Logan? If that is the case is it not safe to assume that she is Sarah and Liz's mother?

Anne (who was Audrey's niece) isn't Liz and Sarah's mother. It was said several year after they left together that Jeff & Anne broke up. Jeff fell in love and married someone who wasn't attached to the canvas at the time.

Richard Dean Anderson and John Stamos were my first 2 crushes! It would make sense that Jeff Webber would come back to see his daughter if her brother (and his son) is being killed off.

I always thought it strange that the parentage of a character as popular as Liz was never addressed.

But then again, if your character didn't have male genitalia, Guza didn't care about you.

Why? He didn't come to town when his grandchild died!

So cool that John Stamos might be on there, even if it's just for one appearance. It's great when celebrities can acknowledge their soap past and make appearances, like Julianne Moore in an ATWT episode and Josh Dummel (sp?) on one of AMC's last episodes!

i hope jeff webber comes back and for the death of his son, if that is what is is going to happen, b/c that would be a great story for BH. all of liz's problems stem from her abandonment issues and her thinking she isn't good enough and her parents didn't love her, ie them leaving her w/a neighbor @15 when they left the country, but made sure their "favorite" sarah was safe at grams. and after EVERYTHING Liz has been through, rape, babies, babies' death, marriages, kidnappings, almost dying numerous times etc and her parents never acknowledged her, but now their son dies dad shows up.

after all Liz has lost over the yrs, mostly her son, and now maybe losing her brother and after losing all of her anchors, some from death some from being deadbeats and some just leaving b/c frons was an a**(nik) and her dad shows up after her not seeing him for 16yrs. I know BH would knock it out of the park. BH doesn't need a man/pairing she can hold a story on her own.

but alas, these peeps don't seem to care about Liz or the Hardy's, they seem to think gh started w/the spencers and cassadines and corinthos's. and for some reason don't see the appeal of the "good girl" heroine, we still have cons, whores, baby endangering skanks who feel that mobsters are better dads than business men. and the heroes are still rapists and murderers instead of drs. and businessmen. and the only people who pay,in any way for any misdeeds or fullout crimes, are drs, nurses and people who don't kill for a living.

when the ep thinks that a single mom who actually has a job and works, who sure has made mistakes but never has done full-on evil things just to hurt people needs to be redeemed while their skanky whorish con "heroines" who have never paid for anything are getting stories and non ending "love" stories, i have no faith that we will get a good story for said Nurse and her founding family family, even if it could be really soapy and dramatic.

don't even get me started on the fact that instead of bringing back Jason's first born as a q heir they are going to retcon some dam* history so some guy who GH viewers don't know and don't care about or franco's kid can be the q heir, when the real soapy story would be to have Jake, who is a double legacy character, come back and someone knew that he wasn't dead, who would have him? spencer enemies, carson's enemies?

It would be wonderful if they even get them back for two episodes for the 50th!

I actually fully believe that John Stamos is already set to make an appearance, since he was seen "visiting the set" the other day.

I will be very pleasantly surprised if the same goes with Richard Dean Anderson (wonder what he looks like these days?)

Now all we need is Demi Moore, right! Laughing out loud

I hope it's true. I remember watching John Stamos, Blackie. as a young teenager on GH. The man has aged very well!
