He always tells it like it is and I love his fearlessness. I hope Genie can hang! I also hope there is a mention of “Mortimer!” I cannot wait to listen. As much as I’ve always loved Genie Francis, I have even more respect for her or anyone who’s willing to brave and enjoy a chit chat with Larry and Keith. I can’t wait to hear this. Larry and Keith’s enthusiasm and reverence was infectious. Genie Francis presented as a lovely and gracious woman. I have been saying since the Guza years that GH needs heart and I think Laura Spencer could fill the void as the show’s “heart center.” I hope GH does right by her, Laura Spencer and longtime fans. Personally, I thought she was wonderful as Diana on Days but disliked how she spoke of the show after leaving. She sounds more humble and appreciates being back as Laura. As a side note… The increase in ratings shows what kind of work JFP does and she should never be allowed near a daytime soap again. Hopefully, CBS will find that out soon. I never watched GH before V&C took over and now look forward to every episode. Log in to Reply luverica February 13, 2013 seascape70, you make a great point. I’m watching GH every day and this is the first time I’ve watched almost every last minute of every last episode since the post-McTavish era of AMC. Mind you, this is before my second best Daytime Queen Genie Francis came back. I heard that GH’s ratings have improved dramatically, which played a big part in ABC and Prospect Park reconsidering the web versions of AMC and OLTL. I would be curious to know how Y&R is doing in the ratings since Jill Farren-Phelps took over. I’ve said it before that I am thrilled that she is back and adding her special glow to the show I’ve come to regard as a treasure. GH has had it’s days when it’s been foolishly handled and all but drop kicked out of the ABC/D stadium, but it has managed to defy the desires of the suits that would have it be gone. GF returning, along with many other favorites, illustrates that yes, you can come home again. It may not be in the same order as you left it, but once you settle in, you may find that there are some things that haven’t changed. Such is the magic that she brings with her… 0:) Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
