As The World Turns' Jesse Lee Soffer Lands Hatfields & McCoys Pilot

Former As The World Turns actor Jesse Lee Soffer isn't letting FOX's cancellation ofThe Mob Doctor get him down. Soffer has landed the lead role in NBC’s pilot Hatfields & McCoys.

Per Deadline, Soffer will play Patrick McCoy, a young man who returns home and is swept up into his family’s battle against the Hatfields following his father's murder. The show, executive produced by Charlize Theron, is a modern day take on the historical feud between the warring families.

This should be good and I love him as actor. Good young talent and knows how to shine. Some of his best scenes when ATWT (not only w\JL) was with Roger\Paul. Those two worked great together. Added in Colleen well we had a winner. Love

Wow..... I'll definetely tune into this. The miniseries on The History Channel last spring was one of the best I've seen on TV in YEARS!!!

'Course, this is on the Peacock Network, so it'll be toned down substantiably in violence, etc. (as it should be)

I must be growing up. LOL. Gimme more Hatfields and McCoys, and Downton Abby's and WAY LESS of Idol and that crap.

Just read the DEADLINE Article where it stated how it's a modern day version. I'll still tune in. LOL!

You must just read my mind...Downton..8.4 million viewers for their seasnon ending and was relishing every bit of the cliffhanger. I want more NOW! I love Downton Abby Love

This looks quite good and old grudges still exist in the families...lots of soapy drama could emerge! Wink

Thinking about his work on ATWT with JL's Gwen and RoHo's Paul, I could see him as Dillon Quartermaine. Missed opportunity. But great for him with this new role... Innocent
