HomeTVThe Young and The RestlessLauren Regrets Sampling Carmine’s Italian Sausage on The Young and the Restless Luke Kerr March 5, 2013 The Young and The Restless, TV Recap 36 Comments Lauren (Tracey Bregman) was having second thoughts about playing hide the cannoli with Carmine (Marco Dapper). She made him promise he’d never say anything to anyone about their hookup. Moments after he went downstairs for his shift, there was a knock on Lauren’s door. She opened it, expecting Carmine, but discovered Fen (Max Ehrich). Billy (Billy Miller) told Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to get a room, during a meeting at Jabot. Billy asked Jack if his interest in Phyllis had something to do with the impending wedding of another ex. Summer (Hunter King) showed up at Crimson Lights, where Kyle (Blake Hood) and Abby (Marcy Rylan) were getting coffee. She asked Kyle for his help with her physics studying. Later, Kyle wasn’t happy when Jack gave Summer an internship at Jabot. Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) continued to discuss their relationship. He told her that no matter what happens between them he wants to wake up with her beside him, not in the guest room. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was under the weather. When Billy returned home he tried to help his wife. 36 Responses DonnyA2001 March 5, 2013 OMG…I don’t even watch Y&R, but Marco Dapper as Carmine is sooooooo damn fine!!!! Log in to Reply alstonboy4315 March 5, 2013 That man’s chest and face are EVERYYYYYYTHINNNNGGGGG!! Marco Dapper could definitely get it. :Sp Log in to Reply RebeccaJ March 5, 2013 Ooooh yeah, Carmine’s lips are sealed. But his facial expressions and need to brag are another matter. I was hoping Fen would see him leaving Lauren’s room–after all, not like he’s making a secret of what he’s doing, exiting her room with an open shirt and carrying his shoes. Kissing her in the main lobby of the GCAC wasn’t exactly discreet either. But since Fen didn’t see them, I figure it will take Abby all of about two seconds to figure out who it was when she sees Lauren and Carmine together and watches his body language. Log in to Reply tinigirl32 March 5, 2013 Holy Canoli…he is yummy indeed. Log in to Reply bobbyew March 5, 2013 Great episode! 40th year is getting greater and greater. Would have been nice to see Marco from behind in some briefs like the good ol’ days. I’m glad Fen is coming to his senses. Lauren just needed something new. I don’t blame her for the one time thing. Summer is in heat for her maybe brother Kyle the hottie. That Blake Hood is hot in a suit. Log in to Reply EastWest March 5, 2013 The hottest affair since Nick/Phyllis. Hopefully this won’t lead to the schizophrenic characterization of Lauren like it did for Phyllis. Log in to Reply Bartman202 March 5, 2013 I enjoyed Monday’s show very much – Lauren’s infidelity, Summer’s crushing on bonehead Kyle, Billy taking care of a sick Vicki – it made for an enjoyable hour. Looking forward to today’s show when the audience meets Dylan’s ailing father. All in all, I am REALLY enjoying “Y & R” more and more since the outster of MAB (who seems to have really dropped off the radar, hasn’t she…???). The stories being written are more coherent and a lot less silly; certain characters aren’t being favored and aren’t on my HDTV every day (Good-bye “The Phyllis Show”!) like they were before; the sets are being refreshed and brought into the 21st century. I’m liking what JFP & JG have done in such a short amount of time. Log in to Reply blake3b March 5, 2013 How can anyone regret sampling THAT italian sausage???? Log in to Reply SoapArmageddon March 5, 2013 This is the Y&R that I love. Storylines that make viewers have passionate responses and see both sides to issues. I’ve been cautious about this show since JFP took over, but right now I find myself rewinding stuff just because what I saw was so good. Love it! Log in to Reply noway March 6, 2013
Lauren is now an adulteress no matter which way you look at it. In spite of it all she had no reason to jump in the sack with one of the hottest Genoa City newcomers. Carmine had already received his Welcome Wagon gift basket. Lauren must either never really ever have loved Michael or she is just plain mentally unbalanced (not that having an affair makes you mentally unbalanced). I hope that Lauren realizes exactly what she has lost when she does loose that pillar of strength that supported her during her years of much turmoil caused by others and herself.
——————————————————————– Is this the same Lauren that married Paul, Scott, had a thing for Danny, Brad and Erik Forrester??????? Why she would lower herself to jump the bartender and throw a good marriage down the drain for a bump in the road? A one time thing could be interpreted as a mistake but going back for more??? Michael despite his beginnings on Y&R has been nothing but a loving and loyal husband. Log in to Reply CHRISTOPHER March 6, 2013 Carmine is the sexiest man alive…love his look and the bods…the real Lauren FENMORE is back…the two r the hottest sexiest people alive wanna see more of them together…..carmine is sooo hot and yes…the real LAUREN IS BACK! Log in to Reply jimmythedj March 6, 2013 I used to like Lauren and had respect for that women, not anymore. Team Micheal all the way.. but Carmine is sex on a stick haha;) Log in to Reply pferrando March 6, 2013 I think Lauren and Michael were actually currently the longest running couple in GC that hadn’t been split up. While it wasn’t good judgment on her part, it really wasn’t out of character and is making for an awfully good story. And that Marco… And finally with Fen…I was not liking the character until his talk with Michael. I was worried his character was being ruined. Log in to Reply Dyllan March 6, 2013 Why do viewers call it the “JFP show” Shouldn’t it be the “JG Show”. It is my understanding they won’t let JFP touch the writing. People also forget that Lauren was also the woman who put Brad in the hospital after making love and fought with Tracy over it. After having had to suffer through Victor panting after Sharon and a too young version of Diane after Sabrina, I say Y&R owes some of us this storyline. Lauren looks good and could easily ‘get it’. I don’t think Carmine is Mr. Right. He’s clearly Mr. Right Now. It’s not just men who have mid-life crises. And yes. That Marco… Log in to Reply stoney07 March 6, 2013 Lauren Fenmore is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I was wishing I was Carmine there for a moment…. Log in to Reply tedew March 6, 2013 I do understand the attraction for Blake Hood but something about him really bugs me. Max Ehrich is 21 and legal but give him a couple of years. Robert Adamson is pretty fine as is Lamon Archey. An ardent Marco Dapper would be fun to wake up to. I wish Greg Rikaart could become much more sexy rather than so darned goofy. Not really sure who I’d go for right now given the chance but then you really never know what spark could ignite you at any given time. Log in to Reply Dyllan March 6, 2013
I do understand the attraction for Blake Hood but something about him really bugs me
Perhaps it is the way he talks. I think the way the character, Kevin,is portrayed and written makes him less attractive. Log in to Reply pjc722 March 6, 2013 Loving the NEW Lauren which is a return to the old! And Marco is amazing. I am sooooooooooooo confused by the jump in age with Summer and the juvenile way they are having her act. I just don’t get it. I’ve said it before, they build up this big bullying story that started with Summer, and like her mother who doesn’t pay for her crimes or deeds, Summer has moved on without mention of therapy or volunteer with younger kids who are bullies or victims. NOTHING. It’s all as if it was done and now on to the new story. I like the actress and all aspects of the show but not the sudden move from one to the other. And is the HIGH DRAMA in Victoria and Billy’s life soooooo mundane now that it’s about paint swatches and kleenex? Honestly, I was bored with their scenes. Log in to Reply soapbaby March 6, 2013 I just caught up on over weeks worth of Y&R and it actually took a few hours because I FFWDed so little! Y&R is pound for pound good entertainment right now. I never imagined that there would be a time when Lauren/Michael would be the most interesting story for me on Y&R (and currently in daytime.) The marriage/parenting drama of Fen bullying Jamie morphing into Lauren’s infidelity with a hot as hell Carmine is pure soapy bliss!!! I think Lauren/Carmine are so sexy and so scandalous. I love it. This is what soaps should be all about: drama, sex, infidelity, reconciliation. Y&R and DAYS are bringing the heat. You would think everyone was celibate in L.A. and Port Charles with how little sex is being had on B&B and GH!!! Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 March 6, 2013 ha!!! I have admired Marco for years and now you all are jumpin on the band wagon. Italian men ARE sexy. I should know, I am Italian….. Log in to Reply hey mon March 6, 2013 I am thinkin that Carmine is the new Brad, or something-something. Just as long as he doesn’t end up like Deacon Sharpe. Hopefully, JoshG can start to put some brains with his brawn, and he can become a ‘regular’ part of the canvas. Maybe he can get a job at Jabot or Newman, or something like that. And a shout out to ChrisGa, for noticing that Micheal is no schmuck when it comes to working out. CLB is in good shape, too. Can I get one dopple-ganger, or ‘psycho’ story-line? Just one Josh? Even Bill Bell had one going at all times. Cause I just cant get excited when 2 women are in the same room, and are bitchy to each other (like Phyllis and Abby were on Monday). Or is that ‘Drama”, and I am just missing it? Log in to Reply ChrisGa March 6, 2013 This show has been so on-point of late but yesterday’s episode was near-perfect(throw out Lane and Villy, and it would’ve been perfect). While I love that Lauren is again front-and-center where she belongs and that there is undeniable chem between Tracey and Marco Dapper, it also saddens me that she’s basically thrown away a man that, by all accounts that I’ve witnessed, has worshipped her from the word go(and CLB may be no Marco Dapper, but for someone approaching the mid-fifties mark he looks damn good to me). It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. On a side note, nice to see Max Ehrich playing Fen as something other than angry-bordering-on sociopathic; he’s turned into a mighty appealing little actor. Gotta say I actually like Summer’s little infatuation with Kyle(and it must be noted that Blake Hood is looking hotter than ever of late). The only strange thing for me during that whole thing was Phyllis’ reaction to it; I was expecting her to blow a complete gasket and start throwing her hands all over the place as the Staff tends to do when she’s all worked up(and those were some stranger-than-usual reaction shots from MS during the office scenes with Jack and Abby–not sure what was going on there). Log in to Reply harlee490 March 6, 2013 It was hot hot hot Italian sausage…damn Lauren anyway! I lovem’ and I love a torrid affair especailly when chemistry is everywhere and boy does Lauren & Carmine have that in spades. Lauren’s guilt and fallout is going to be so good to watch, hell Y&R has been super good since the start of the new year. TraceyAbbott…I know what you’re saying about Italian men because my lifepartner is full blooded Italian and sexy even if he grayed alittle over the years and his slightly thinner hairline but he still works out 3 days a week but ITA…Italian men are sexy!!    As some would say about some shows but Y&R is on FIRE now and enjoyable to watch. I can’t wait for each episode rather live or watching online I have been rewatching the episode usually twice now! I    The Young and the Restless! Log in to Reply RebeccaJ March 6, 2013 I’m not wild about Blake Hood at all. First of all, I keep forgetting who he is because he looks like Adam Jr. and secondly, I just don’t like his acting. And I totally agree about Kevin–his whiney, childish pouting makes him SO unattractive. Log in to Reply soapy opie March 6, 2013 Married or not…..she would have been NUTS to say no!!! And no (female) Divorce Court Judge would blame her, either. Log in to Reply akbad806 March 7, 2013 That damn Marco Dapper is FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’d drank his bath water, I swear to Jesus. Lauren and Carmine are blazing up the screen with their torrid flirtation and now affair. I just hate to see Michael go back to the dark side when he finds out. Ugh…such a nasty, sweaty, hot garbage mess of a situation. Just the type of storyline I like. What I don’t like is how dull Villy are since the new regime took over. I FF right thru they boring asses. She sick on the sofa..who cares??? Give me drama, writers!!!! Now I ain’t ready to sing the praises of JFP and JG just yet. Y&R is good, but it’s not MUST-SEE-TV just yet. I need the background music to go back to status quo and stop all that silly soft rock crap. And also, was “On The Boulevard” a flop? I never see anyone going their anymore. I have to add that I love the Lane scenes now that there’s a viable issue between them. Anyone can see clear as day that they are growing apart and I couldn’t be happier. Watch what happens, somehow Cane is going to end up saying he fathered Chelsea’s baby… Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 March 7, 2013 Hey Harley.. you and I have a lot in common!!! First time I laid eyes on my man, I said “that’s what I want ” and it took awhile but we have been going strong on 10 years now!! Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 March 7, 2013 I truly think Y&R stumbled upon a treasure. He was hired for just a bit player!! Log in to Reply aveRex March 7, 2013 It’s time for CBS Daytime to bring back an old promo they used to run in the mid 80s’ with Lauren Fenmore and other favourites. The promo was ‘Some Like It Hot’ [video: http://youtu.be/jxAj4tm7Sng, Aah…the good ole days. ..and she and Carmine were definintely HOT! Log in to Reply ChrisGa March 7, 2013 LOL, great clip and Lauren was rocking that hair! You just know that icy death stare was directed at our girl Traci Abbott lol. Log in to Reply aveRex March 7, 2013 ^Yes she was, LOL. I miss those days and all of those soaps Log in to Reply pferrando March 8, 2013 Soapbaby I had to catch up too and I am amazed at how good all the storylines are! My favorite was the 2/28 episode that had some fantastic scenes and performances by Nick/Victor, Neil/Leslie, Leslie/Avery, Chloe…I could go on and on. AND to my surprise I am starting to like EB again as Victor. I loved ole Vic plopping down in front of Wheeler and saying “You are beginning to annoy me…” Loving the two of them going after each other. What a great end to sweeps month, and a great kick off to March and their 40th!!! Log in to Reply soapbaby March 8, 2013 ^^ I’m enjoying Victor Newman so much more these days. I think it’s because he is presented in a much more balanced way, supporting/loving Nikki while being a complete bastard with Wheeler or Adam. Good job Josh Griffith and I hope he continues down the current path with Victor Newman. Victor Newman was taken to a “point of no return” under MAB, just WAY too despicable.
