HomeTVThe Young and The RestlessYoung and Restless’ Marco Dapper to Christian LeBlanc: “I’m Doing Your Wife!” Jamey Giddens March 8, 2013 The Young and The Restless 7 Comments Someone better warn Carmine Basco (Marco Dapper). Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) may be a Dudley Do-Right these days, but dude once terrorized Genoa City darling Christine "Cricket" Blair (Lauralee Bell) on The Young and the Restless for sport! Nothing makes a man give up his path to enlightenment, like finding out his wife is being pounded by another guy. Deanna Barnert recently caught up with Dapper for MSN.com. Here's an excerpt of her chat with the daytime homewrecker: Are you aware of Michael's history? I know his history and Lauren's too. A bullet's got to be coming my way. I was telling Christian [LeBlanc, Michael], "You're going to try and kill me. I can feel it coming!" I'm sure somebody'll kill me off at some point. (laughs) But here's the thing, as a friend to both the actors, it's so much fun. I get to tease them, off set. I go, "I'm doing your wife!" and Christian screams, "I'm going to get you!" They're so fun, and the story is juicy. I want more! I bet he would be fun to party with at a function! He’s definitely has a great sense of humor and let us hope Carmine doesn’t end up dead…Carmine is valuable for many future stories down the road. Loving this storyline w\Lauren\Michael and it will involve Fen. Log in to Reply MsAgentProvocateur1 March 8, 2013 I hear a lot of fans are having coronaries about this storyline now but I like this storyline, it has one of the key components of what made daytime drama so irresistible! Notice I said one of, not ‘the’… before someone attacks me (LOL). And before anyone starts comparing Lauren and Carmine to Victor and Sharon, Lauren and Carmine’s scenes were hella sexy! For obvious reasons, Victor’s and Sharons…well, I’m glad at least we never saw any bedroom scenes (at least I didn’t because I had stopped watching by then). It’s great to see that the actors themselves are having fun with this storyline. Believe me, it shows Log in to Reply soapbaby March 8, 2013 I am LOVING this story! Sordid affairs are the “bread & butter” of classic daytime soap operas. What a fun interview! Marco Dapper seems fun and aware. Reading the interview makes him even more attractive to me (if that’s even possible!) He is a definite find and I hope he sticks around in Genoa City for a while. Log in to Reply stoney07 March 8, 2013 He doesn’t seem to be worried about this stint ending. He sees Carmine as a disposable character, which is great. I hope Carmine sticks around for a while too, but I always love it when an actor doesn’t think his character is the best thing since sliced bread. And MD is well aware that Carmine is in the wrong here, and if he gets killed off, it’s fine. Love it. I’d ACTUALLY like to see Lauren return to Michael, have Carmine move on to the next “cougar”, and then have Lauren become jealous having her actually be the one to spill to affair. They were hot together, I hope we see more rolls at the GCAC. Log in to Reply bobbyew March 8, 2013 Carmine betta watch his step. Log in to Reply harlee490 March 9, 2013 There could be so much story for Carmine down the road with other characters, I still think nuAbby will find out about the affair and use it to her advantage somehow, either to try to win Carmine back and Alex has already fallen in love with Abby.
