Welcome to daytime budgets, Mr. Todd. He could be in the unemployment line with HUNDREDS of other actors his age in Hollyweird. People are struggling in this country, and it always amazes me when those who are privileged enough to not have to struggle complain about the most mundane things!! Log in to Reply pferrando March 11, 2013 Ha! Love the first three posts, and can’t wait to see what others have to say. He’s lucky he’s got the “part”. Log in to Reply SoapArmageddon March 11, 2013 He must have a really bad agent. How could he not know about details like that? Log in to Reply harlee490 March 11, 2013 He’s using the long arm of CBS to think to draw attention…how it will bite back Log in to Reply stoney07 March 11, 2013 I didn’t see it as a big deal. I think the guy interviewing made it more of a deal than Tony Todd did. He was just talking, and it wasn’t really that much of a complaint, moreso just kind of jokingly answering the question, at least thats how it seemed to me…but I could be wrong. Plus, I still like his optimism about the role, and the characters, and the show overall in general. Log in to Reply angrierblackerman March 11, 2013 A lot of soaps got rid of craft services to trim the budgets. Since he is not a long term contract part (to my knowledge), I guess the show is only paying his fee and nothing extra. Still sucks that they won’t even spring for lunch, lol. Yes, because well-regarded, well-known, always busy Tony Todd is so not in demand: TBA – Monster School (in production) 2013 – A Man with a Gun 2013 – Crimson Saints 2013 – II Driven 2013 – Captured Hearts 2013 – The Witching Hour 2013 – Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D 2013 Disciples (from IMDB) He’s probably just itching to be a Wal-Mart greeter at this stage of his career. Log in to Reply bishbay March 11, 2013 Sigh. JBJ, the poster you supposedly “sorted out” with your comment has a point even if TT has lots of work, so you’re both wrong and tiresome at the same time. Please turn it down to 11, and try to avoid using a backhoe when a spade will do. Hilarious. Log in to Reply Restless Fan March 11, 2013 I didn’t think it was a big deal. He was asked a question and he answered it. Very insignificant to us but obviously a big deal for him. Whatever. He didn’t bash the genre. I’m guessing he sees it as a different challenge in his career. I’m looking forward to it. Log in to Reply roooo March 11, 2013 He’s right! I just realized that, after all these years, my job doesn’t buy me lunch either! We need to stand up against these workplace horrors. Log in to Reply GLTURNS70 March 11, 2013 He’s a great actor but he’s no Beverly McKinsey to be demanding meals on a soap opera set. Soaps are another monster from film. Log in to Reply david46208 March 11, 2013 @soapbaby: It’s more drama here than an episode of B&B. LOL Log in to Reply Coffee_Junkie March 11, 2013 Twenty bucks says JFP has her pet Steve Burton eating like a KING and that’s where the food budget is going. Steve Kendall (sp?) posted a pic on Twitter about a month ago of a cast meeting. King Burton had a three course meal in front of him and everyone else had WATER. All those Logo reality pilots but not one green light. How sad for you. How is that for turning it down? FYI, Alston and I have gone back & forth on here for years but we also are fairly good FB/Twitter friends; he gets me and me him. So, Madame…you need to swerve. Watching the video really proves this wasn’t a big deal at all. I didn’t find anything odd about him basically just answering the guy’s questions. Anyway, Tony seems to appreciate his time on the show, as well as showed respect for the genre, and how the actors really get in there with only one take. I noticed he mentioned doing about 25 episodes…looks like he’ll be around for awhile. Log in to Reply stoney07 March 12, 2013 Thank you!!! I thought maybe I was crazy, but I’ve watched it a few times and I still don’t see how it’s that big of a deal….He did more complimenting than complaining. And then joked about it… -_- I hope we fans don’t run the guy away before he debuts by making something out of nothing. Log in to Reply pferrando March 12, 2013 Agreed, but people have always “knocked” daytime, and a lot of “actors” can’t take the schedule and the pace. It’s amusing to hear the comment even if he joked about it. It obviously bothered him enough to be heard. In any event it seems he won’t be around for long anyway. This is kinda another one of those, “This is news”? Time to file it away. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
