HomeTVCBSShots Ring Out at Victor and Nikki’s Wedding on The Young and the Restless! Jillian Bowe March 13, 2013 32 Comments I thought they only fired off shots at the Source awards? Just when Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are finally headed for happily ever after, someone brings a Smith and Wesson to their nuptials on The Young and the Restless. Watch the clip after the jump! 32 Responses harlee490 March 13, 2013 I’m loving this synenergy right now w\Y&R! I shutter to think I honestly thought this time last year MAB would be doing the 40th! :O It made me ill….what a difference a year makes…Y&R’s in great shape going into the big 40. We will have huge cliffhanger that Wednesday, annually March Maddnes. I read the whole daytime lineup will be honoring Y&R across the board, The Talk is doing nothing but Y&R 40th episode! All of CBS daytime should bow at the feet of Y&R, because it’s CBS’s anchor show for the whole daytime Log in to Reply Coffee_Junkie March 13, 2013 Stupid. Obviously it’ll be the NY cop who gets shot. And who cares about him except that insipid waste of space Adrianna? Log in to Reply hey mon March 13, 2013 Y&R is the greatest Show in the history of Mankind! It’s Perfect! When I think that Fen pushed Jamie to the brink of suicide, and Fen’s just walking around feelin fine, I get JoshG vibes going thru me. And Summer in her new car? Hope that she doesn’t take out her Auntie Chelsea’s unborn child again. You go JoshG. Give us another day of Dylan having flashbacks of his life in the last decade. And CupCake, have her on every day — oh, I forgot, you already are. Log in to Reply ChristianDavis148 March 13, 2013
Y&R is the greatest Show in the history of Mankind! It’s Perfect! Log in to Reply hey mon March 13, 2013 I miss my MAB & HoganS, but I just might get over it, if Fen becomes a psycho again; and Nick’s dive becomes a strip club. I’m starting to like Avery, but I feel that Dylan is being force-fed to the show’s audience. I’m still really liking the rest of the show. Log in to Reply stoney07 March 13, 2013 I am indifferent to Dylan. But HELL NO to MAB and Hogan S. doing the 40th!!!!!!!!! I won’t go off on a tangent because I’m not in the best of moods today, but let me just say…while I defended MAB to some extent on this site, there’s no way in hell anybody can say her writing was better than the writing now. Well, you can say it, but I won’t take that seriously. NO possible way!! Log in to Reply pferrando March 13, 2013 I’m liking the stories being told right now, so I’m happy the 40th came under Josh’s pen and not MABs. I DON’T like the idea of Nikki and Victor’s wedding being interrupted with gun fire…I actually hate “the interrupted wedding” plot line. I hope we at least get a beautiful ceremony before bullets fly. Log in to Reply DaveBedford March 13, 2013 It’ll probably be Wheeler whose shot & dies, setting off a murder mystery bc many ppl wanted him gone. Is it a coincidence that Pinter’s last air date is slated for the 18th? (the day of Niktor’s wedding) Nope. Log in to Reply david46208 March 13, 2013 @stoney07: I agree with you on Jason Morgan…I mean Dylan. While Y&R is rocking the socks off me like a hooker in Cancun, Steve Burton’s addition to the show is no great boon to Y&R fans. Especially in the acting department. He’s good, but he’s not great! He doesn’t make you cringe when you see him on screen, but he doesn’t make you wake-up and pay attention. He is like John McCook who plays Eric on B&B. He has one acting style and you have to get use to it. So I’m ambivalent to him. ——— Log in to Reply hey mon March 13, 2013 Reminds me of Patty at Jack’s wedding to Genevieve, although we knew who had the gun, and who she was shooting. At least only a minor character is going, like Marcus Wheeler. But if Sabyn Gabet was visiting the Y&R set a month and half ago, and we all know that Tricia likes to show up at weddings with a gun, maybe it was Ms Dennison showing up again at another Newman wedding with a weapon? But I would have hoped there could have been some kind of build up in case it is her. Log in to Reply bobbyew March 13, 2013 This is the 40th celebration. I love this show right now. But why are they getting married at that small ass ranch house and not outside or at the Colonade Room. Build another set for them. Chloe and Kevin had an ashram. Neil and Druscilla had Japan. Lily and Cane had fake Paris where The Moldavian masacre took place. This is the 40th. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 March 13, 2013 It is budget time, and the reason for the dinky wedding. If you happen to notice, all the sets are missing extras, no people anywhere in coffee shops, clubs or what have you. Budget must have been cut to the bone. Log in to Reply alstonboy4315 March 14, 2013 They should keep Ignacio around. He’s cute and he is a decent actor. I wish they’d kill off that Adriana chick. If another character gets shot, can the bullet PLEASE be gracious enough to bounce off of them and hit her too??? Log in to Reply pferrando March 14, 2013 I personally am okay with no extras around and familiar sets. Give me the the Abbott mansion, Kay’s, the coffee house, Jabot and the Athletic Club, throw in the OLD Y and R score, with Josh’s current writing. the vets and a few of the likable newbies, and the show will be on for another 10 or more years. Yeah, that’s extreme, but all of that works. Almost 40 perfect years, y’all (minus some bad times during LML and MAB). It’s too bad; Mark Pinter is a great actor and I loved the suggestion someone had a few weeks back about pairing him onscreen with Jess Walton. Log in to Reply NathanHastingsSr. March 14, 2013 While there are some good stories playing out right now, do we really need more police station and courtroom scenes right now? We just went thru at leaet 5 years of nonstop murderer mysteries, arrests, and trials… Log in to Reply tedew March 14, 2013 The Wheeler theory is a pretty good one and the most reasonable. But hopefully Detective Chavez will not be inducted into the venerable GCPD to aid or head the investigation. Log in to Reply pjc722 March 14, 2013 Why can’t Leslie and Tyler father ACTUALLY be the killer?! Wouldn’t it be plausible that wheeler was having an affair with Belinda, their mom, and Gus found out and in a jealous rage killed here. The reason wheeler kept quiet was his marriage family and career. I just think if it does turn out to be wheeler that it was a whole 3-4 months of story with all these characters we have not invested in yet! Sure Leslie has been on the show for 3 years but as supporting. Tyler has just been added and as a paramour for lily. Wheeler came on when the prostitute victor hired who died on jacks floor turned out to be his dead daughter. Gus? We have yet to meet him. It just seems like we were served a story before we knew the characters. We have all gripes abt this sort of thing for years abt soaps Log in to Reply pjc722 March 14, 2013 Just finished watching today’s episode and I would like for someone to tell me OTHER THAN Wheeler asking about Avery’s case and asking Victor… who is not a paradigm of HONESTY himself… why would everyone and their uncle belief that it’s wheeler behind everything happening to Avery? For one thing, we already know from Tyler and Leslie that their dad was mixed up in a lot of bad things before to their mother’s death SO why isn’t anyone contacting him and asking if it’s possible someone he was previously connected with has a grudge? Or even the people he turned states evidence against?! I am all for standing up for Avery and Leslie, but Neil and Nick need to take a step back and approach the man actually in prison for a crime! I love Mark Pinter and think he is an amazing actor, but I just have to say his time on the show was a waste and not sure why they bothered bringing him on in the first place. And don’t tell me it’s so they can flesh out Leslie and Tyler. there was plenty of ways to do it that didn’t involve this story and the wasted talent of a veteran actor. All this story will do is make Victor look saintly. ONCE AGAIN Log in to Reply bishbay March 14, 2013 I think they should tie in the prostitute daughter with the Congressman’s affair with L&T’s mother. The daughter (name escapes me) went off the rails when she found out about her father’s affair, or something like that. The ages might not work, though. Log in to Reply ANGELWENDY15 March 14, 2013 I know who does the shooting!! It’s Steve Burton as Jason Morgan the hitman (Dylan’s alter-ego) coming in with guns a blazing. Ha! I just had to get that in after all the shootings at weddings on GH I watched over the years during Phelps/Guza’s Mob days. Glad that’s over. Do we really need a shooting at Victor and Nicki’s wedding?! But I guess they have to add some drama to the story. Log in to Reply hey mon March 14, 2013 I am very glad there is going to be a shooting at the wedding. I have to hand it to JoshG. Just when I thought The Show was going to spiral off into romance-land ad nauseum, someone finally gets off’ed at a high profile event. Hopefully, we can get some of that ‘excitement’ of the 2009-2012 era, and maybe someone gets falsely accused and thrown in jail as early as next week. (Bring back Ronan’s big ol dry-erase whiteboard!) Furthermore, I hope that Christine gets some air time as the new DA, and hires Alex (Iggy) as GC’s new cop, with Paul as his assistant. I think that Chris could even hire Michael as a type of adjunct DA to investigate the murder of a high-profile Congressman (if it turns out to be Marcus getting the bullet). I think after a week of sitting through Chloe and Chelsea’s bantering about NOT telling Darth Adam. Re-tred weddings where Abby (of all people) is leading a chorus of nurses at Niki and Vic’s hospital ‘wedding’. And more flashbacks of Dylan, his Dad, and Cupcake — we finally get some action. This Show is getting on my good side. The Balance of methodical JoshG, and the excitement of JFP. Now all we need are a couple of surgical dopplegangers, psychos, and a strip club. Log in to Reply hey mon March 14, 2013 Wow. Been watching too long. Paul is now the new Chief of Poilce, and he just hired Alex. Log in to Reply tedew March 14, 2013 Doesn’t matter, is there anyone in GC that has the training or credentials to do anything; from corporate to law and everything in between? Except of course Adam. It seems that practically anyone can walze willy nilly into any job they want; no questions asked. Log in to Reply pennywise555 March 14, 2013
It’s too bad; Mark Pinter is a great actor and I loved the suggestion someone had a few weeks back about pairing him onscreen with Jess Walton.
Ha! I don’t think the new Y&R “pairs” women over 60. Actually they do NOTHING with woman over 60. They seem to be irrelevant in business,as mothers & grandmothers,as lovers, and just as human beings in general. Supposedly they are on the cast, and their characters live in GC. We rarely see them, and when we do it’s just a glimpse because we have no idea what they are up to. After “proof of life” is established they disappear into nothingness again. Whereas the older male characters have a full and active life… multiple women, full business life, involved with their offspring and we see their life unfold onscreen daily. Log in to Reply pjc722 March 17, 2013 That one clip of 5 women huddled behind CHAVEZ and he thinks he cane save one of them with his arms outstretched had me laughing! I love the show right now but I have to say that I miss dramatic buildup to a climax! WIth Senator Wheeler it was as if Jill and Josh realized a couple of weeks ago that “damn, we only have Mark Pinter for a couple of more weeks, we need to end his story fast” and then they decided WITH nothing more than his cryptic conversations with Victor, the fact he testified at Gus’ murder trial and that he stuck around in town for a long time that he HAS TO BE BAD so everyone started to be anxious of him. NONE of it led me to believe the man had anything to do with her murder. Granted, we get hints and clues but that’s because as viewers the writers give us that inside info but as characters, Nick, Leslie, Tyler, Avery, Victor and the rest have been given no such info just the words from the writers. SO when and if it’s Wheeler holding the gun up or his cohort, it will make no sense. PLUS, whomever he is trying to take down, WHY WOULD Wheeler do it at the wedding with witnesses instead of just doing a stand alone “who shot whatever cast member” kind of story? Log in to Reply pjc722 March 17, 2013 And, I am going to get in trouble from some for this but why are they having Nikki and Victor say “this is our last time down the aisle” when the last time down the aisle it was the same line “this is our last time down the aisle” that we heard! Unless, Eric Braeden has decided to retire (oh please oh please be it true) and within a year or so he is dead, then I don’t understand why they bother to drill it in when on a soap these two will be separated in 2 years time. Also, if everyone knows ESPECIALLY Victor that STRESS is the last thing Nikki needs for her condition… and that is absolutely true… why is he hellbent on taking down his own son to regain Newman when that fight will hurt Nikki the most?! Why not just call a truce with him? That is why I am the only holdout that this MS story, while being told realistically, will only be a plot point for a while and that Victor’s greatest love is his wealth and power that he derives from NEWMAN and then himself and then how his children bow down in front of him and then maybe then after Sabato, Nikki comes into the picture! Sorry, that’s my take and I am hoping the I DO’s don’t actually come about. Rumor has it that Katherine is not going to be at the wedding either?! THought this was the 40th anniversary special ep? Log in to Reply tedew March 17, 2013 pjc722 … your post #28. My sentiments exactly 100% from start to finish. The next time Victor does something Victor-like and Nikki finds out then the stress should be very obvious if they continue to outline the MS story realistically. Log in to Reply pferrando March 17, 2013 If they can keep the two of them together at least for 5 years…I’d be happy. I think Josh understands them as a couple. They need to focus on Nikki’s MS, Victor and Adam’s feud, and them interacting with their family. Done. Log in to Reply hey mon March 18, 2013 I really would like for Victor to accept and approve of Bill, once and for all. Log in to Reply weddingplanner March 21, 2013 Marriage is a funny thing. We look forward to it so much and spend our entire savings on having the best wedding we can have. And yet, newly-wed or long-term married couples do quarrel and have conflicts every now and then. Likewise, courtship experience such patterns. http://www.weddingplannercourses.com.au/ Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
