Shonda Rhimes Wants Addison Montgomery Back on Grey’s Anatomy

Please, please, please let this happen! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice creator Shonda Rhimes would like to bring Kate Walsh back as Addison Montgomery at some point. Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans to do so.

"I would love to see Addison back at Seattle Grace at some point for a visit," Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter recently. "I've said a million times that before the show ends its run, Addison has got to put on her shoes and scrub cap and come scrub in at the hospital. That's a given for me."

Rhimes also teased one day bringing Caterina Scorsone’s Amelia to Grey’s. Addison has always been one of my favorite Grey’s characters so I’d love to see her return. However, Deadline is reporting that NBC is considering a comedy pilot starring Walsh.

I like Kate Walsh on “Grey’s Anatomy.” And I liked her on “Private Practice.” I think she plays the role very believably. No, she’s not gonna give Meryl Streep a run at the Oscars anytime soon, but…’s hard to compete with the likes of Chandra Wilson, Sandra Oh and Sara Ramirez.

I loved, loved, Addison Forbes Montgomery the second she sat foot on GA and hung Meredith’s nasty black thong on the bulletin board at work after finding them in Derek’s jacket.

The Addison that hung those panties on that board was the best Addison. Then once she got to LA, she became this shell of her former self. I miss the Addison who had sex with McSteamy then was like, naw I don’t want you. I still hate that Addison was hurt that Karev didn’t want her after they did it in that closet. There is no way Addison would ever be hurt by Karev, ever!

Both private practice and greys anatomy together can not hold a candle to SCANDAL! I mean that show has the right cast, great stories, strong development and an even better delivery! And every character has more strengths then weaknesses.

What I never really liked abt either of the first 2 shows was the complete and utter weaknesses of the characters that seemed to be bigger than their strengths.
