Chris Brown on Oprah Interview: “I’ve Been Invited; I Just Say No at This Point”

Don't hold your breath, waiting for an Oprah Winfrey sit-down with troubled, R&B singer Chris Brown. During an interview on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, Brown admitted the Mighty O has reached out to him for a one-on-one, but he’s refused, out of fear she may attack him over his 2009 abuse of girlfriend Rihanna. Brown stated:

"I’ve been invited, I just say no at this point. I’ll go to people that I’m comfortable with. I never wanna be in a situation where I feel like I’m attacked or I’m gonna be trapped. I think I’m paying for whatever I’ve done and I’ve learned from it and I’m moving forward, so I only want to surround myself with the people that are about positivity."

To find out what Brown has to say about his relationship with Rihanna today, and his feud with rapper Drake, watch the video below!

He’s smarter than I gave him credit for. He knows that Lady O will annihilate him.

I do believe in giving people 2nd chances if they receive therapy and SINCERELY turn their lives around. I am not sure if Brown is, or ever will, do that. And it’s not my place to judge him.

@alstonboy4315: Well this can keep him from throwing any chairs in the background. I’m sure Oprah would have ‘that talk’ with him before the interview if he had done it.

“Now look at here… We ain’t gonna having no chairs tossed or windows busted ’round here. I just want to make that clear. Remember now I came from the backwaters of Tennessee!”

Too bad Rihanna didn’t feel that way when she took your abusive ass back.

@SoapArmageddon: You mean a prison ‘hoe.’ Because they would be passing his ass around. Pun intended.

Inmate to Chris Brown: N—a, get yo’ ass over here now! My man C-Dawg here needs a healing. Now you make sure you bring them 3 soups!”

Hell has frozen over for the second time in a week! ;-)

I don’t think he’ll ever sit down with Oprah, because she’ll ask precisely the kinds of questions that he doesn’t want to answer. (He’s too far in denial to be confronted by an “A-ha” moment!)

I don’t know him, but everything I’ve seen and heard about him screams arrogant control-freak ass. But maybe he has some great qualities with which I’m not familiar. LOL

doubtful, “lady O” is a racist monster, she wouldn’t “annihilate” one of her “own”…put a white person on her panel and she’ll do her best at “annihilation”….racist, racist, racist, makes you want to vomit.

I’m surprised you can watch TV through the holes in that white sheet.

Chris was 19 years old when he beat up Rhianna and he has done his time so I will give him a pass yet there are many who just cannot wait for him to screw up again. I say applaud the guy because he has had other women in his life since Rhianna and he never once abused them. But what really bothers me is people are picking a once 19 year old yet are so in love with the likes of Charlie Sheen who held a knife to his ex’s throat, refused to do community service because he couldn’t smoke and when asked what he would be doing next, he replied he was going to Disneyland and people just laughed. Double standards for sure.

I had no idea there was an age limit for it being acceptable to beat up on women. Under 21 and you get a pass?

And, for the record, Chris is still f*cking up. I keep seeing his name in the news for bad behaviour. I couldn’t give a toss about Charlie Sheen. I do know that our simple-minded, uneducated young brothers see conduct like his and think it’s fine because C-Breezy or whatever-idiotic-name-he-calls-himself is doing it.

Aren’t America’s prisons already full to bursting with young black men?
