HomeTVAll My ChildrenDaytime Confidential and Harlequin Team Up For A Soapy Novel Giveaway! Jamey Giddens April 5, 2013 4 Comments A few months ago, I engaged Daytime Confidential readers on Twitter to find out what they loved to read. It should come as no surprise, suds fans love themselves some steamy, romantic Harlequin novels! While I didn't grow up reading Harlequins like a lot of DC readers—everyone knows I was all up in some Jackie Collins and Sidney Sheldon books as a kid—I decided to try out a few of the wildly successful publisher's tomes. I became immediately hooked by passionate, mocha-flavored works by such authors as Brenda Jackson and Rochelle Alers. I also got into Harlequin's steamy Desire series, featuring ruthless, alpha males and the women who do everything in their power to resist them! Today on Harlequin's official blog, Carly Silver published a feature on my love of all things soaps and sudsy romance novels. In honor of the piece, Harlequin is offering a giveaway featuring books by former soap stars-turned-authors Beth Albright (Days of Our Lives) and Harley Jane Kozak (Santa Barbara, Guiding Light). Contestants will also have the chance to win fictional selections set in the worlds of cosmetics and fashion, as Harlequin and I wanted to pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of CBS Daytime's glossy drama The Young and the Restless! To enter the contest, head on over to the Harlequin blog and answer the following question in the comments section: Are you a soap fan? What got you hooked onto your series of choice? The contest runs through April 10, 2013 at 11:59 EST. A winner will be randomly chosen. For full contest details, click here! 4 Responses Yoryla April 5, 2013 What a nice thing to do!
