Noah Reluctantly Checks Nick About His Engagement on Young and Restless (VIDEO)

Parents should really be careful about pressuring their kids to give opinions on their love lives! Next week on The Young and the Restless, Nick (Joshua Morrow) asks Noah (Robert Adamson) what he thinks about his Pop's engagement to Avery (Jessica Collins). Check out Kid Newman's response after the jump!

Am I confused here or is Avery a recovering alcoholic? I know they have said she was pregnant in the past.... did she lose the child, give it up. etc?

TRACYABBOT - Im confused also. Sounds like she did have a child. But does anyone know if Summer's friend was explained, or has she been around before? I just got this creepy feeling she was talking to an imaginary friend. That this girl sitting there wasnt real.

I think the new friend is just the writer's way to let us know Summer is a typical "teenager" - I mean, the only friend we have ever met of her's is Fenmore ( and Jaime ). Not your typical teen age girl...

But now that she is "18" - wow they are giving her an actual age when most soap characters are in the never aging "gray area " aka Lauren Fenmore...

she is hot for the Kylemeister.... they are really writing him up to be a ladie's man.. and then they are going to slap us with the NUKyle....

I just do not like Dylan.... his face never changes....they are building up this HUGE back story for him, yet the character is not working with the fans as they had hoped. I know this section is read by GH fans and they post, but he just is not Y&R material.

I asked about the alcoholic part as when she was at the underground, Dylan seemed to really want her to have a drink in her hands...

No surprise, Noah is smarter than his father. Nick isn't known for much brain power.

And of course...this "friend" is not only friends with Summer, she is ANOTHER FOJ from HH!!! Angry

HH is the only place to find young actors.

In my humble opinion, the ACTORS they found at HH, should have been left there and so should DYLAN been left at GH. None of them are doing it for me.

Jill...really...FOUR HH actors in about six months...?

Yes, the new Noah is fantastic, but the other three have yet to prove themselves to a Daytime audience. Summer is trying, yes.

I am just surprised that no one is mentioning how they are writing Summer as being on a path to something bad. First she opts to bully a kid (with Fen) to the verge of suicide and now her Aunt Abby is telling her father that she is stalking Kyle (her aunt's cousin) in a HARASSING way.

And even worse, this story has turned from a young, troubled girl from a broken home to a young troubled spoiled rottenly rich virgin looking to lose her virginity at any cost to a man who has told her to get lost in so many ways!

Clearly Summer has not learned anything from the Jamie story or have her parents, Phyllis and Nick, actually sat down with this kid and talked to her about her issues. And add in Noah, oldNOAHwould have noticed Summer's issues because he thought of other people first which made him so not a Newman but nuNOAH is so self absorbed and whiny AND FRIENDless that he hasn't had the time to sit with his sister and talk to her.

Also, I don't care that in every other scene we hear she is 18. To constantly have the writers have her say it isn't reenforcing that when she does drug Kyle into sex that it's OK... its just making her look immature and stupid!

(By the way, we all know that the drugging of Kyle to get him into bed is somewhere on the horizon with this story... or at least just as bad a scenario)

As for Noah calling his dad out, I like the actor playing Noah a lot but for some reason I keep getting the feeling this guy doesn't really care much about the job BECAUSE I get the feeling that Noah doesn't really care about anyone much any more. I haven't seen a genuine caring sit down between Sharon and Noah in months.

I'm just saying.

I'm finding that the nuNOAH is a bit boring! Like his sister, Summer, they need to give him a friend who he can hang with or just have him come out of the closet to make him a little more exciting.

Coming out of the closet would explain his chemistry with Chavez and his "bonding" with Tyler the other day on the show at the bar. LOL

I kinda disagree...under Josh, we've had numerous scenes with BOTH Phyllis and Nick parenting Summer.

In fact my fav Summer scene so far was when she confessed to her Mom and they hugged an talked for almost the entire show.

Noah has been by his Mom the entire time since the new actor came on board.

I just wish they'd use Noah more. And maybe they will now that Adriana is gone.

I think we see more family than we have in a while...

We see Nick and Phyllis parenting Summer.
We see Jack's relationship with Kyle. (kind of different since he is a grown man)
We see Nick, Victoria, Nikki, and Victor often.
We see Abby and Uncle Jack.
We saw Ashley return to town and the first place she went was to see her brother. We have Traci returning soon.
We have Leslie/Tyler/Gus

I agree, I'd like to see more Gloria/Kevin/Michael....but that's really the only family dynamic I see that's lacking right now. At least in my small opinion.

Cane and Lily hanging with their kids and making crafts was probably the only scene featuring those characters I've enjoyed since Cane stopped pretending to be a ghost.

I think that JFP needs to have Noah on as much as possible. Robert Adamson has been the biggest loser since the advent of Steve Burton. He has lost the most screen time of anyone who has been on contract, since the arrival of Dylan.

Not Adam, not Victoria, no one but Adamson.

So if Dylan's role has to be tapered back (not that it will be, now that we found out that Avery and Dylan have a 'love child' out there somewhere0, for Noah to be on-screen, then pare Dylan's role back.

But, as has been said, we are going to get another heaping-helping of Avery and Dylan (as if Blonde Bobblehead ON EVERY SINGLE DAY ISN"T ENOUGH). More 'wonderful' back-story for Dylan. And I forgot, we are all supposed to believe that Dylan's role on Y&R was ALWAYS going to be this big, and it is just a coincidence that Burton is NOW front-and-center to almost every story-line.

Yeah, it's sad to see Robert Adamson--definitely the best of the HH actors--and Noah get sidelined in favor of other characters(and actors) who are either boring as hell(Dylan), hot but not particularly compelling(Tyler, Carmine) or no longer viable in their current state(Kevin). RA's a talented guy--and of course very hot--but the only storyline that he's been involved in since coming on was the godawful stolen money business with Adriana(well, and being a talk-to for Sharon and Summer). With her gone, I'm really wondering what they're gonna do with Noah(still say they should've paired him with Chavez but that's never gonna happen...).

Dylan and Avery don't have a child out there anywhere - she had a miscarriage. I seem to be in the minority since I actually like Dylan.

Summer is definitely acting very stalker-like. Not good. I like the guy playing Kyle and think he's doing a good job so I'm sad they are replacing him.

The guy playing Noah is a good actor as well as a gorgeous young man and he should get more screen time.

I'd be happy if they got rid of Tyler though. I FF through all his scenes.

I like Dylan and really enjoy Avery but definitely agree this pair have had far too much screen time. Either get the Avery Dylan nick triangle moving big time or drop it for a while and allow story to develop. The angst of this story is slow n getting to the point where I'm saying "I don't care"

Summer is being a very naughty and annoying little girl and has been ever since she “grew up”. But I'm also not liking hypocritical Nick's attitude toward and confrontations with Kyle.

I also still highly doubt that Noah will ever reveal he's gay. Plus we don't need Nick (or should I say new Victor) to have any new and different paramours to protect his children against.

Nick and Nu Noah are by far the HOTTEST father/son pairing in daytime. It's enough to make me want to be Brooke Forrester just so I could do them both.

... and Billy, too. To think that Robert Adamson and Billy Miller are on LESS because of Steven Burton. Is there no justice in Daytime?

Victor Newman's grandson doesn't have a story-line, or a kid yet, or anything -- because we have to hear about the miscarriage that Avery and Dylan had so-called 'years' ago.

John Abbott's youngest son is reduced to a shadow skulking around his house, waiting on Wigula, hearing her bi+ch-moan about wanting another baby. As if that is even a compelling story-line. Meanwhile, Dylan gets to have his Dad die, show some grieving, fire-truck Chelsea the next day, get into a fight the week after, remeniesce about his miscarriage with Bobble-head, and be front-and-center.

And I haven't even begun to whine and moan about Blake Hood and Marcy Rylan leaving yet.

I think they should send SUMMER, DYLAN and TYLER all off together and we could get rid of 3 talentless hacks at the same time. They are all 3 very boring, DYLAN most of all and Summer needs to tell us just one more time that she is 18, and in my opinion looks like a hooker.

After rewatching today's episode and now that Adriana is gone, lord I hope Noah isn't stuck in "no man's land" until they figure out what to do with him, he's so talented to be drifting in limbo.

Watching him talking about Avery was nice father\son moment but way too much which the writers should had Noah walking into the Underground catching Avery\Dylan talking and see her upset would had add a beat needed. The writers should maybe make Noah not so approving of Navery (same as Victoria \Nick with their parents) and trying to reunite Nick\Sharon and have Nick somewhat torn. I don't understand why add a deceased child between Dylan\Avery? Puzzled OK, Dylan has a deceased father, mother and now a child, this isn't the way to grab fans heart when there isn't any investment for fans toward Dylan...

Now the writers already established Dylan is good guy character (I have no problem) but then let Chelsea be honest about her pregnancy to Dylan and he steps up to plate and then let the games begin between Dylan & Adam Wink

Avery and Nick are dull and boring together and though I LOOOOOVEEEE Josh Morrow, I find Nick to be an unlikable prick most of the time these days! When he's not butting his nose into EVERYONE'S business and trying to tell everyone else what to do/feel/think......he's getting offended when other people call him on his crap! When he told Sharon last week that his proposing to Avery was "none of her business," I wanted to reach through my TV and snatch a knot in his ass!

I am still not getting the big hoopla about Avery Clark. Nothing against Jessica Collins, but this character is clearly one of Josh Griffith's obsessions, yet I struggle to see why.

It IS interesting to see writers latch onto a character and run. Avery wasn't even introduced by Josh, but yes, he does seem to love her, and we know why he loves Dylan.

I absolutely LOVE the new Noah. My fav of all the new recasts and new characters brought on. They did a good job when he was supportive of Sharon when she was coming down from pyscho, but since then it's been a character aimlessly wandering. Sounds like a former writer most love to hate...

I'd like to see more of the younger characters interacting with each other. Chestie (harlee Smile ), Fen, this new HH blondie bestie, need to have something written for them. I was kinda getting behind the Summer/Kyle thing, but low and behold we needed to have our weekly recast. Summer (the season) is coming up so let's see what they do with the younger set. And please give Noah a story of his own. That Adriana mess was such a mess.

Yes, PFerrando, Summer is truly a Chestie. She makes me feel guilty after watching Y&R, and that's a good thing. Rob Adamson really has grown on me, I never thought I could get over Kevin Schmitt being forced out of the role. One of MAB's true casting right-on's for the time, was Schmitt as Noah.

Maybe when Summer is revealed as an Abbott, Noah and Summer could starting dating a la' Bridget and Ridge. Or they could re-cast Eden again, and bring back what would have been one of Y&R's best 2010's couples, Noah and Eden. Or Noah could involved with Courtney, who I am guessing is going to be Avery and Dylan's once-thought-dead, but really alive, 'love child'.

I think Josh G loves Avery, cause he fantasizes about her booty and breasts, and puts it down on paper each day (or into his lap-top).

And for the sake of all that is good, bring back Blake Hood, with his classic Abbott look, and his well-toned body.

Very disappointed in new 30 YEAR OLD, Abby. How sad they let Marcy Rylan go for this tall turkey.
