Get Ready For The 3,789,233rd Wedding Featuring Bold and Beautiful's Liam, Steffy and Hope (VIDEO)

Forget about running an international fashion house; Eric Forrester (John McCook) could make a killing by turning his home into a Las Vegas-style, quicky wedding chapel on The Bold and the Beautiful.  It's once again Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) turn to pledge her undying love to fickle Liam (Scott Clifton) — unless Hope (Kimberly Matula) crashes the affair.

Oh Hope, just wait your turn. Six weeks from now, Steffy will no doubt be crashing your next wedding to Liam, complete with 10 minutes of flashbacks to this wedding. Watch the Groundhog's Day, I mean, B&B promo after the jump.

The bride wore black! I love it!! And can Momma Brooke tell Hope, girl you can't tell Liam to marry Steffy and now try to stop it. Girl, Hope, there are plenty of fish in the Los Angeles sea out there that you could have...starting with Oliver!!!

Can someone please explain why this incestuous, wishy, washy mess is number 2 in the ratings?

Hope looks possessed! Rick better be careful! she may put a voodoo curse on him for ratting her out to their promiscuous mother who is fresh out of bed from having sex with their uncle!

I'd like an explanation as well! As a fan of the daytime genre, I have tried numerous times to get into his show. I just can't. It's the same thing day in and day out.

say what you will about this triangle, one thing is sure -( from my pov) Scott Clifton is so lucky to be in the middle of it ...Congrats to him. He was great on OLTL , and while this role doesn't seem to be demanding as much from him ( on the surface) acting wise I bet he's enjoying it...

There has to be some selection in the Nielsen ratings system. There is no way this hideous excuse for a show could have upward trending ratings.

I have to agree with the other comments. I'm a huge soap fan. Watched Guiding Light since I came home from school one day in 8th grade and my mom had GL on. Ed Bauer was telling Eve Stapleton that she was gonna be blind. I felt so bad for her, I had to watch the next day (and the next...) In 1987, I started watching Y&R and have not missed an episode since.

My point is that I'm very pro-soap. I'm a frustrated soap writer. And the Bold and the Beautiful is the WORST show on TV. The ladies in my office watch it at lunch (the TV is in my office and their viewing preceded my working there). It is SO repetitious and drags and drags. Days go by where nothing happens. It's only 30 minutes and they manage to have no plot movement for weeks.

I'm all about character-driven shows and this has none of that. And for a plot-driven show, the plots suck. The L-H-S triangle is insulting. It's insulting to the viewer and especially insulting to women. I mean, what self-respecting woman would continue to wait for a dude who hasn't been able to make a decision for TWO YEARS. If I were writing that show, I would have both those women say F-it and tell him where to go. I'd probably also create some disaster and kill half the cast, too.

Every day, I say to the women I work with, "Name one character on this show who you A) don't hate or B) isn't stupid." It's impossible to answer. There's no one to care about.

Well.... ask Dr Taylor to splain it all as she seems to have an answer for everything ( that is not her business ) and she hides her injected lips behind her medical degree.

I have never known a doctor to get sooooooooo personally involved with her patients like this one does..... esp the Brooke/Katey/Stallion triangle.

I keep asking myself that same question! I fail to see the appeal of this never-ending triangle.

Yeah I have pondered that too ( the show's popularity ) I think the art direction has something to do with it ...
the romanticized view of LA , with the continuous arial exterior shots of beautiful mansions , the beach etc. add to its appeal for a lot of people ( maybe subconsciously?), especially internationally , where they have a big audience ...the clothes ... and the physical intimacy- kissing hugging etc. That sometimes seems to be used to pump up scenes that would really be empty and banal ( with Eric and Taylor for instance). I think the setting works to their benefit and they certainly exploit that.

Y&R has more in-depth storylines but You hardly ever see exterior shots of Wisconsin on that show, where it supposedly takes place .... which is something they should do, I'm sure the Wisconsin tourism dept. would welcome it!

the fact that it's only a half-hourlong works in their favour as well- it almost seems unfair to compare it to all the other hourlong shows...

UGH... someone should just crash a car into Hope. Then that will just end it all for us! She'll get amnesia and forget that she ever had a crush on a spineless man that only 2 months ago... even less... she was planning a big romantic wedding with!

SO appropriate that Eric designed a BLACK dress since clearly Steffy is no virgin!

I wouldn't even watch this drivel if Scott Clifton stripped naked in the middle of the ceremony and started dry-humping the nearest cabana boy!!

Well Brettyboy, probably because a few times in a month there are actually decent episodes on this show, that give you some new hope that there is actually one decent writer on the writing staff.

But 80% of the episodes in a year just suck the life out of you.

I'm not sure but I am surprised no one mentioned this before.

Carter. He's a HOT HOT MAN. Sweet smile. Great eyes. A nice guy. Works out religiously. Is single. Is going after a woman who doesn't find him any more attractive then a telephone pole and says his "nice" while she pines for the shorter man. He has a "marriage phobia". Yet he loves weddings. And he is a marriage officiant.

If he mentions how beautiful Steffy's dress is at the wedding and if Liam keeps licking his lips like he did in the scene when he first met him, I am MORE THAN CERTAIN that Carter is a closet/on the DL gay man!

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

It would explain why he likes to play bball with his "foster brother" shirtless and sweaty all the time.

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-yyyyyy

LOL

Come on, B&B, out of all the soaps on daytime... EVER!!!... you are the only one that should most definitely have a gay man walking around your offices. For crying out loud, the show is based in Los Angeles, its based around fashion (I work in fashion in NYC so I'm not stereotyping and I am gay), and there are plenty of HOT single men on the program! Give us a brother!

LOL....I love how the GH posters are upset that B&B spanks GH in the ratings. It gets good ratings because it produces a decent product once in a while.

Let's kill Liam off and let these women move on already. Then can we please get Scott Clifton back at GH where he belongs?

How is that a lie or inappropriate? When half the posters say they don't watch the show (and they have GH in their avatar), then how can they evaluate the show? Further, they go into other threads talking about the mysterious way that GH isn't number 2 or even 1.

That's like me, evaluating DOOL (I only watch it once a month), I'm not a credible evaluator. I consider that more inappropriate, but I'm not the thought police.

As far as the ratings discussion:

It follows Y and R.

It is consistent with its characters and the team behind the show.

It looks great.

It's a half hour show.

It had the support of its network.

Steffy should not be rewarded for her bad behavior. She was after Bill, a married man. She went after Oliver and Liam. She went after both men when Hope was dating them. She never had a man that did not belong to someone else. Steffy is just like her mother. Taylor has slept with every man that Brooke has been with, Ridge, Thorne and Eric. There were others also. Taylor even slept with Rick, Brooke's son. I don't approve of how Brooke lives her life but at least she didn't sleep with Thomas. Steffy and Taylor likes to have men that have been with Hope and Brooke. Steffy is so low. She was wearing Hope's Engagement ring. I hope Steffy and Taylor finally pays for what they have done. I can't believe people are comparing what Hope has done to what Steffy has done. She did the things she did because she was not herself. Steffy on the other hand just lacks morals. Liam and Hope are soul mates just like Brooke and Ridge.
