I hope Dylan takes Avery right out from under Nicks nose! Nick is no great Casanova. If Sharon is waiting in the wings for Nick, she's going to start molting because it doesn't appear that any of the men want her for more than a quick romp.
Where does she get off nosing in other peoples business and being the town crier.
We can go another week with out her "willing things to happen."
Take a pill Sharon.

I sure as hell hope they don't plan on revolving May sweeps around Stevie B, the cupcake, the baby maker, and hormonal Victurdia.

All the kill Kevin talk has got me a bit riled. His scenes alone with CL are enough to keep him around. They are fantastic when they are on screen together, and possibly the most believable brothers on Daytime. He just needs to be given a story that doesn't involve him stealing something with or without a chipmunk head on. And it does look like we are FINALLy headed to a breakup with Chloe.

Break them up....put her with that hot smart ass Chavez (since this newest Abby won't work with him) and maybe get him to help Michael exact revenge on Carmine while helping protect Fen. They've also had some great scenes.

The only storyline I'm interested in is the Nick/Avery/Dylan triangle.

I disagree. I think we need to split Kevin and Chloe up, get Gloria on the screen more, and have them interact more as a family.

All great actors who have been given CRAP for material.

I agree that it would be best end Chloe and Kevin. There's clearly no spark between the two, and this SL of them robbing folks is NOT entertaining. I actually like Kevin, and just feel they need to do more with him opposed to this pointless story. I also preferred him with Jena over Chloe. lMO, since they aren't working as a couple, they should be involved in better sls, and hooked up with others. Another thing is Chloe's primary purpose these days seems to be propping Chelsea, while Kevin is being used as comic relief...SMH!!

I'd also love to see Gloria given a little more screentime. She usually adds a little flair to a dull story.

Kevin does not need to be killed off and how did this all start of having Kevin die? He & Chloe is most annoying characters right now and to see both who are good actors playing this crap is not even tolerable but pathetic to watch. If they don't have a story for these characters besides nonsense...wrote them off canvas for a few months to rejuvenate them both. Kevin needs to be available if wrote off into sunset...you never know.

The breakup is coming as of today's show, the writers seems to listening it's heading to breakup...HOPEFUL Innocent

Kevin definitely does not need to be killed off. The little guy is amusing, and can be quite devious, as he was 7-8 years ago.

Greg Rikaart is an extremely talented actor, which makes it hard to understand why his storylines have been so uninteresting for so long now. Sad

Hey mon, that's why producers should listen to what actors have to say but never let them dictate storyline direction.

Bill Bell would never have put up with that.

I love Dylan! And Avery. And their storyline. We need more guys on the show so they all stop bouncing back and forth into bed with the same people over and over. Alex is a great new addition. I am upset Abby has been replaced. They finally found a gem in her and should have tried to keep her. I miss Daniel (hottest guy ever!). My problem is the constant cast changes on Y&R. As soon as you get attached, they leave or disappear. Where the hell is Murphy? They need to get their contracting issues dealt with because this show has too much character instability. It is amateurish and frustrating.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH - here we go again...Sharon the busybody.

I loved how Victor almost tossed Victoria out of the boardroom today so he could talk with Adam, alone.

So now ole Dylan will be staying in GC as he thinks he is the baby daddy? Whatever happened to condoms???

Loved the poker game.... Carmine just slithers out of the room. I love it how the camera angles shoot MD from the side, so you can see his bulges and muscles.... aah..... hurry up summer..... everybody in the pool!!

Thanks Idylkng...I hate when talent is wasted. Today's show actually IS moving them away from being a couple...so I am hopeful.

And actually I loved today's show again. All the right characters acting with each other with dialogue that moved the story forward.

And SHOCK...it was entertaining watching Chelsea tell Adam that Dylan was the father while he stood there dumbfounded. I liked all the scenes he was in today BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T INVOLVE BACKSTORY WITH AVERY! Take note writers...see how great that works?

I'm liking Victoria back at Newman, and for once it's not about Victor talking down to her. Like they used to be.

So after bitching most of last week, and saying WTF about the writing...we are back to a pretty tightly written show.

Dylan was better yesterday's episode, especially how Adam came barrelling into Crimson at Chelsea and Dylan sitting there was good. I actually felt sorry for Adam...go figure. It was much better compared to last week's episodes.

It has been proven the last couple of weeks that you can't have whole episodes of mainly new characters because they can't carry the entire episode. They are to new and green and viewers haven't the investment in the characters to produce good TV. Tyler\Lily I'm not feeling this as long lasting relationship....the writers have completely botched this story. Lily being jealous of Lola (which bring her back I liked what I saw) OH PLEASE...not making sense. The writers broke every rule on how to introduce a new character and it's showing on our TV screens....it stinks. Lily\Tyler should had started slow grow outward...but NO we got manic writers rushed the story to break-up Cane & Lily and ending result will probably be Lane fans will be vocal and it won't last long. If done right and took their time slowly the writers could had a hit couple. The writers haven't wrote Tyler very well at all from beginning to now...I have no investment interest in the character of Tyler.

Actually, DYLAN was being his usual, DUMBER THAN DIRT SELF. If he had even half a brain, he would be able to figure out, that he is not or could not be the father of Chelsea's baby. This guy is just so bad, as an actor, he would make a good statue somewhere.

Harlee...I am completely there with you.

The show works when mostly vets are on WITH a few of the newer characters.

I'm still considering both Avery and Leslie "newer" characters as they weren't featured like they are now until Josh started writing.

You throw them all in one show with Dylan, Tyler, Gus and it's like you are watching a different show, especially when they are featured in new sets/surroundings.

That balance with mostly vets driving story along with a couple newbies works.

I don't feel like I'm seeing to much of anyone, but I do agree with you about the way he has been introduced. I would just like to see him as a more permanent character and not used by the other characters like you said. As for Kevin and the "chipmunk", his latest actions are not far from it, and it seems as though that is the way he wants to go. He is enjoying the thrill of stealing and does not really want to stop, as he told Cloe before. Yes, the past chipmunk was a result of his being abused, but I was just saying the way things are going he could end up going back to that type of behavior, to get the thrill he is looking for. And the backstory always comes back into play, I've been watching Y&R for at least 25 years, and the backstories are what these characters are built on. There are usually some scenes of flashbacks to show how the past is connecting the current. So, I have to say the backstory is one of the reasons this show has been on for 40 years.

Genoa City citizens I'm not liking much right now:

Phyllis ... for remaining to be the super hypocrite bashing all else for doing exactly what she has done to extreme.
Nick .. for remaining to be the ever so holier than thou Neanderthal thug demanding that others don't do what he is also doing. (I did like how Sharon threw that all back in his face.)
Avery ... for remaining to be such a simpering basically not a very interesting character.
Victoria ... for remaining to be a vengeful self serving creature bent on yet again trying to destroy Adam ... the man who literally saved her beloved sainted father.
Chelsea ... for remaining to be annoying and starting up that hoary chestnut of a baby daddy gambit.
Chloe and Kevin... for remaining to be, well remaining to be Chloe and Kevin.

I am however getting intrigued by Lauren's confused and conflicted anguish.

But most of these spoilers are not really all that interesting.

Backstory has been used wisely once the character is on the screen and has been interacting with vet characters, or to introduce a new story to a character that has been on the screen for years.

I can't think of one story where two new characters (Avery and Dylan) story is all back story. I know why...Jill...needed her Dylan character to be liked by the audience.

For most of us, we'd rather see Nikki, or Kay, or Jack more.
