The man is so age-less and I have always loved his portrayal of David Vickers on OLTL -he always made me laugh!!! Log in to Reply mfarris70 April 26, 2013 Hooray for Tuc! While I don’t think we should idolize people for being famous, Tuc is such an amazing performer and seems like such a nice guy that I’m sure he will be an inspiration to many. Log in to Reply LongLivePortChuck April 26, 2013 Where have I been? I had NO idea Tuc was gay. Log in to Reply DonnyA2001 April 26, 2013 I used to live in NYC and I saw Tuc Watkins at a gay bar after the Pride parade one year, so I knew he was gay. He was sexy too, very tall! Then later on I worked once a week during the summer at OLTL as an intern. I saw him a couple of times, but never got a chance to talk to him. He seems like a good guy. Log in to Reply badass April 26, 2013 @LongLivePortChuck…I’m with u I never knew he was either!!! lol Log in to Reply Restless Fan April 26, 2013 I have always liked Tuc and happy he came out with no big fan fare. Truth is freedom and freedom is liberation. I wish him all the best. Log in to Reply nysam April 26, 2013 About time. I have lived in NYC for eons and knew it. Now we just need geary, buchanan, etc. to follow suit. Log in to Reply angrierblackerman April 26, 2013 Wow, I didn’t know he had kids! Twins no less! And a single dad?! I hope OLTL does well so he can stay employed and feed them kids! Log in to Reply nellie-claire April 26, 2013 Love him, love him,. love him! That must have been so hard for Tuc to do. Watch Tuc’s face and you will see the emotion. This took such guts and while I now know that there is no hope for Tuc and me, I am am happy to have him back at OLTL and thrilled at what relief Tuc must feel. I’ll bet that he is a great father too! Log in to Reply Ryan-Scott April 26, 2013 Love that little sweetie pie. Log in to Reply jw79bull April 26, 2013 Where the hell have I been, i never knew Tuc was gay..and its Ironic that i never believed him as a gay man on “Desperate Housewives”. Log in to Reply The_Moustache April 26, 2013 i hope they make David gay on nuOLTL. Log in to Reply pferrando April 26, 2013 I’d love this to inspire even more actors to come out publically. I also did not know he was gay. Log in to Reply NathanHastingsSr. April 26, 2013 I suspected that he was. Good for him for sharing his story. Log in to Reply LizzieVee April 26, 2013 I had no idea either. I had to read the title a couple of times before it clicked. How come all the good looking well built hunks turn out to be gay? LOL. I hope he does a guest spot on the New Normal if it gets renewed. Log in to Reply GaryJr April 26, 2013 Tuc had a great gay film in the 90’s called I THINK I DO. It’s a comedy about a gay wedding. Log in to Reply Yoryla April 26, 2013 I have known he’s gay for a long time. What I did not know is that he hadn’t come out of the closet sooner? I thought it was common knowledge. Log in to Reply Plum April 26, 2013 So glad Tuc has finally come out “publicly”. I’m stunned about the twins. Good for him for following his dreams. Log in to Reply elbugten April 26, 2013 Bravo to Tuc for coming out so publicly. I wish him all the best as a new Dad. I wish more actors were brave enough to come forward. It changes absolutely nothing for me of how I feel about him. In fact, I respect him even more as an actor now, since I know he’s acting in a heterosexual role. I hope David Vickers remains straight, albeit a Drama Queen and attention whore, lol. I love his romance with Dorian and I’d hate to see that end. He’s the best partner she’s had, other than Nathan Fillion’s Joey Buchanan. Also actors such as Neil Patrick Harris have proven that actors who are gay can play straight characters convincingly. IF OLTL decides to have a gay character, they should bring back Kish, one of their most romantic couples ever, IMO. This coming from a straight woman Log in to Reply ChristianDavis148 April 27, 2013 Wow! I had no idea that Tuc was gay! That tells you how much I don’t pay attention these days! Log in to Reply californiaguy888 April 27, 2013 WOW WOW WOW ! ! ! I had NO IDEA Marie had a TALK SHOW ! ! ! Get outta here! Good luck Marie! Log in to Reply twb6yz April 27, 2013 I had suspected and just assumed he was. I don’t think he went out of his was to hide it. He’s had several roles in gay themed movies and webisodes where the vast majority of male actors were gay so it wasn’t a big leap to think he might be gay as well. It sounds like personally he’s lived fairly openly as a gay man but just never came out and said it. Log in to Reply harlee490 April 27, 2013 I didn’t know was shocked, well maybe not shocked but surprised…twins he’s got his hands full….that’s what’s great about grandbabies, lovem’, spoilem’ and send them home. Log in to Reply pjc722 April 27, 2013 I actually had the extreme pleasure of going out on a date years ago with Tuc and I can say without a doubt he is one of the nicest men I have ever met! Even to today when he sees me or the other way around his “hello” can charm the pants off of you. So happy that he happy, proud and a pop! Love that Marie had him on her show (who knew she had a talk show btw!), and it’s great that he came out. And who knew he had twins and is a single parent? Love him even more now. So glad that he and David are on the OLTL reboot. Log in to Reply Mandolin April 27, 2013 [quote=Restless Fan]I have always liked Tuc and happy he came out with no big fan fare. Either way, he’s always seemed like a great guy (not to mention totally swoon-worthy) and while I’ve never been a fan of the broadness with which he played David Vickers–personally the last couple stints he did on OLTL made me think the character should be gay–I did enjoy the more subtle acting he did on Desperate Housewives. Log in to Reply basilnsybil April 27, 2013 Did not realize Tuc had twins or that Marie had a talk show either. Much well wishes to Tuc and his family look forward to seeing OLTL again. Good luck to Marie with her talk show remember her and Donny with their variety show. This isn’t the popular theory, but if I had to choose Michael or Carmine on Y&R, Michael would win in a walk. And yes, I know, Marco Dapper is disgustingly hot but CLB is just so… . Chalk it up to me liking older men I guess. Log in to Reply harlee490 April 27, 2013 Absolutely…he’s first in line…ChrisGa…love that beautiful man…I follow his tweets, he always tweeting in French, shares pictures, he put on his FB page …he was on the local news in New Orleans involving a crime at by his home at an intersection… :O We are definitely on the same vibe on CLB…yum >) Log in to Reply Yoryla April 27, 2013 Who knew Marie had a talk show, hilarious… I love Dorian and David together, and that’s why I hope they do not make David gay. I also resent the idea that if an actor is gay, it is “easier” for him to play a gay character, and thus the character should be gay. There’s a subtext there that I don’t like. Log in to Reply Karissa April 27, 2013 me either Log in to Reply marknsprmo April 28, 2013 Maybe if the other actors on daytime see that it didn’t wreck his career, they will step up to the plate and come out to the public as well. Log in to Reply ANGELWENDY15 April 29, 2013 I thought Christian Le Blanc (Y &R) has openly spoken about being gay, that’s what I heard. I think once Tony Geary retires from GH he will say the same thing. I think he feels he has to keep it quiet for now because of that whole Luke/Laura love story that was so big. They are all great actors, who cares what their sexual preferences are? Log in to Reply pferrando April 29, 2013 In answer the the question above….about 45% of Americans who also oppose gay marriage. (See any red state….) I’m gay btw and would love to see actors and athletes alike come out. But I understand why they don’t or haven’t yet.
