Jill Won't Give Up Chancellor Without a Fight on The Young and the Restless

Michael (Christian LeBlanc) stopped by Cricket's (Lauralee Bell) office, where he found Paul (Doug Davidson). Michael told Paul he'd moved out of the home he shared with Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Fen (Max Ehrich), in an effort to save his marriage.

Michael received a call from Fen's school, telling him the troubled teen was skipping school. Michael headed home, where he found his son passed out on the couch in their royally trashed living room

Meanwhile, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) woke up looking like a kitten who'd spent all night lapping up a warm bowl of cream. Moments later, Carmine (Marco Dapper) arrived with a breakfast of chocolate covered strawberries.

Michael called Lauren to talk about Fen and heard a man's voice in the background.  Lauren covered, saying it was a waiter and quickly hung up. Michael later told Paul he thought Lauren was off somewhere with a man.  A guilty Lauren skipped out on Carmine to head home to deal with the mess she was making of her family.

Lily (Christel Khalil) and Tyler (Redaric Williams) bumped into each other at the hospital, as a worried Neil (Kristoff St. John) looked on. He gave Lily a sermon about not being a drowning man's life preserver.

Leslie (Angell Conwell)  blasted her ailing father about Rose. Near hysterics, she accused him of cheating on her mother with this mystery woman the night Belinda died.  Gus (Tony Todd) vehemently denied cheating on his wife.

I was just as enraged as Jill (Jess Walton) when Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) named Cane (Daniel Goddard) her successor at Chancellor. Furthermore, shouldn't Billy (Billy Miller) be at the hospital supporting these two women, as opposed to Cane? On the bright side, at least this scenario provided Jill the opportunity to finally rip Cane a new one.

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) arrived at Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) design studio with flowers. She thought he was up to something, but he said he was there to ask her to have lunch with him.

Great point Luke where's Billy in this story, he should be there. This was a great episode because of no Dylan\Avery. I'm wondering if "Rose" is sibling possibly Wheeler & Belinda's love child and she was given up for adoption.

I loved Jill ripping Cane a new one...that's my Jill I love...more Jill, more Jill!!!! Smile

Jess Walton looks wonderfully refreshed by her time off from the show. I hope and pray that they keep using this fabulous actress.

Jill is right to be upset. She's earned the CEO title. Billy considered Katherine his grandmother. His absence is odd.

If God forbid Jeanne Cooper does not pull through her latest health crisis, Jess Walton/Jill will in my opinion be DESPERATELY needed to fill the void. I hope she and the powers that be can work something out so that we can at LEAST see her more than we are seeing her right now.

Don't even get me started on that arse wipe CANE. HATE that con artist! I hope Jill wipes the freaking floor with him. I find it infuriating Katherine would yet AGAIN stick it to Jill. She thinks Jill's not *ready?* Ridiculous. A few years ago (when she was still Jill's mother and *died*) Jill was left in charge of the company. What makes her less ready now?

Hell, bring TUCKER back (William Russ) to run it. Somebody....ANYBODY but that dork/con artist Cane.

I loved this episode!!!!! UGH...just perfection (except I still miss the old music)

That Angel Conwell is actually a really good and believable actress. I admit, in the beginning when she was just a lawyer, I thought she was incredibly wooden, but she's not bad at all.

I think Billy should be included in the story as well. But all these writers always seem to forget he's Jill's REAL son...It would also be a nice touch to have Philip come to town, but I know that's asking too much.

Brock? Mac? SOMEBODY!!!??? But I'm sure...if (heaven forbid) Katherine bite the dust, they'll pull out ALLLLLL the stops. They better!

This was a good episode.

I'm loving Jill in these scenes, but I still don't believe she should have been shown screaming at Kay in her bed. It bothered me. Maybe because what's been going on with Jeanne.

But the drama between Cane and Jill is a good one, but how great can it be if we don't have Jill on front burner. It's a waste to me.

Get her back on contract...make it a win-win for Jess, and let's play this one out for once.

Loved the entire Baldwin saga...and actually didn't mind Kevin and Chloe yesterday. (Gasp...I know I said it.)

I thought it was hilarious the other day the way Neil reacted in the hospital hallway when he heard Kay and Jill arguing in her hospital room. The woman had just woken up from BRAIN surgery, and he allows them to argue! LOL! You'd think he'd pop his head in the room and say, "hey ladies let's table this for later." It also explained Murphy's absence for he surely wouldn't have allowed that.

Love Jill and today's episode where she watches the Duchess climb the staircase is heartbreaking.

Other than that, I am waiting for Michael and Paul to bust Lauren, but for the rest who cares.

I want Summer to find out who her daddy really is, but somehow they will f that one up too, if they decide to run with it.

My only other question is does Angelica McDaniel actually sit down and watch this and think its wonderful?

I love Jill and I am not bothered by Cane being head of Chancellor, who else is there on screen to take it? Billy is not needed in the scene as he is no more related to Katherine than Cane is. JW, DG, and JC have a natural family vibe that really sells their scenes. I can't wait to see the Jill and Cane fireworks.

Today's show helped with the scene with Jill and Kay...such an ironic scene.

And to finally see Kay with her husband alone talking...it was so fitting.

Love Jeanne.

I am team Jill on this one. Why on earth would kathrine think that the bar tender/rookie business man be the right choice for chancellor! Jill has every right to be pissed. She has paid her dues and deserves to be the head of chancellor.

Oh let little ol Cane run bi ol Chancellor Industries. Cane has been a good boy now that Genevieve left town, so maybe Mr Ashby is off of his merry-go-round in life. I'm a bit surprised that Katherine didn't force Cane to make Devon his under-study, but it truly looks like Kay's grand-son is going to be shown the door.

Where is Nikki in this Katherine story? It's just so disconcerting to all of us long time fans that characters that should be there are not. This story should have Nikki in it fully even with her own MS story nothing would have kept her away from Katherine. And vice versa.

One of the reasons that I would actually like to see Kevin n Chloe gone from the canvas is their lack of remorse for what they are doing. They steal from Kay, blame Adriana, allow Kay and Esther initially to think they misplaced the box, and they caused friction (which for Kay n Jill is daily) between Kay n Jill yet BOTH go through scenes like in Fridays episode. Both are doing the crimes, both are reaping the benefits, both have to lose.

Speaking of losing, why are all these gambling references now part of Billy's vocabulary? I don't remember him using them before OR EVEN remember that his issue was that big a deal since he never did any therapy for the gambling addiction. For another thing, why is everything now being solved by a deck of cards with him?! It's just such a boring story. I mean Billy's wife is worth 500 million bucks. What can he/they lose that she can't buy 500 times over? I'd rather see an affair or billy working at jabot or buying up real estate or just being a stay at home dad than a gambling addiction.

Since I'm talking about addiction, that Adam is surely drinking a lot. He better be careful before he has a drinking problem and we see Victoria take advantage of it. It's great how addiction is the "new black" in stories OR illness is the "other new black".

There's an old saying abt deaths coming in 3'a, on Y&R Jill and josh are taking that to mean stories repeated. 3 addictions: jack Adam billy. 3 health scares that bore US to death: niki Katherine n Gus. 3 extra marital affairs: Lauren, lily, and Avery (even if only in nicks feeble weak mind). Owning restaurants with no experience and no customers: nick billy and Kevin.

The best 3-some: 3 really bad recasts: Sumer, Kyle and abbey. Actually make that four since Noah is as boring now then when the character wasnt even on the (And btw, why do I get the feeling that Noah and Tyler secretly like" one another? It seems evident to me their attraction since I don't see either having a mental chemistry but do have some heat brewing between them when we see them chatting)

I totally agree with PJC's comment from above, about the 3 SOME. They are all terrible recasts and how the hell, could anyone possibly nominate Summer for best whatever? Oh! I forgot. They can nominate themselves. What a shame.

God forbid, if something happens to Jeanne, Y&R execs better give Jess Walton an exclusive contract and make her the new matriarch of Genoa City. This week has been filled with Jill, which excites me. We need more bitchiness from this regime and Jess always delivers!

I love both junkie and akbad's comment about Jill.

She and her character almost by default could/should become the centerpiece of the show should Jeanne not return.

One of the reasons I was liking putting Adriana into the mansion was so she could become the new Jill.

Time to revive the Kay/Jill feud with Jill/? to keep the show going.

Jess needs to be back.

What a great episode. It is getting back to the core music scores. Jill better give Cane a run for his money. I thought Ms.C left everything to Devon anyway. Thats who Jill needs to get on her team.

That would be great for Jess Walton come back and be on 4 days a week. Getting Cane out of the Big Chair at Chancellor wold be a good story-line, and would finally pit Jill v Cane, once and for all. Who knows, maybe there could be some interaction between Jill and Billy, like MAB had back in Oct 2011 when Billy was fighting Chloe for custody of Delia.

Devon, it is time for you to go, as well, and have Mason step up to the plate and be on full-time. Mason is the man who could steal Lily's heart away from Cane.

This would be nice to see, what is stated above. Devon should go and take Tyler and Kevin and Dylan with him.

Devon has been on, what, twice since Josh starting writing? I agree.

The character under Maria wasn't that interesting for me. Kept waffling back and forth between Tucker and Kay...Zzzzzzz

I'd be okay to see him written out at this point.

And then bring him back when Dru mysteriously shows up. Wink

All else aside ... Katherine had no reason at all to be lauding and crowning Cane after all he's done in the past. He's not stable and would not be accepted by any board. Also ... she would have had an army of support (from her multitude of mysteriously missing husband, family and friends) behind her during her health crisis, so why keep it a secret from all except Cane???

Yes make Jill front & center with Jeanne ill it could fill up the empty space and could make some riveting TV if Jill shows Cane who she is and how it's done by going behind his back and having the the board support Jill and demoting Cane to different position...the battle of Chancellor. What would be the real kicker if it was Brock that came home and gave Jill his proxy of shares to vote...Jill & Brock always had a good relationship...that would make Cane dirty in his shorts Wink

ITA about Devon, Kevin and Dylan one way ticket to Bay City and would like Mason to have more of role at Chancellor Industries maybe as Jill's right hand man. But Tyler he has improved compared when he first came on so I think to give him more time and wait to see what happens. I like him & Leslie's relationship. They have back paddled on Tyler and not as smarmy like in the beginning.

Poor Devon, he's been ruined. What started out as a riveting character as an orphan kid from the 'wrong side of town' in 2005, turned into the Harmony and Tucker Show (always a bore). He's been ruined, both of his parents have been written off, and he barely sees his grandmother.

Sorry Roxanne, you will have to go too.

Now today's show has started off great so far...Phack is on, finally Phyllis|Michael scenes together, Paul walking in on Lauren\Carmine, Tracy\Jack, Fen\Summer, Leslie\Tyler\Neil been good, Lily\Cane is the weak link, I just think Lily thinking about Tyler is way out of character for Lily. Really?

This is only the first 30 minutes and quite good today. Showing relationships, friendships, family Love is what its all about, baby

Wonderful episode today, it had it all, Tracy's is going to be the barnacle on Phyllis's butt, I love it. It was Dylan & Cupcake free diet today but this is the kind of episode for April not May sweeps. Stories should be riveting for May sweeps not just wonderful...but what we have been getting lately so I will take it Wink
